Still not fully trusting this D.  I mean looking forward to games vs teams that can run the ball and don't have a QB that poops himself.  Those turnovers aren't always going to be there and they just get gashed vs the run.  They'll keep flashing vs jumpy QB's but there won't be a lot of those types in the playoffs, if we get there.

The D currently ranks lower than they did at the end of last year.  Looked no better vs. the run at DAL than they did vs. PHI.  EZ was having his way, not to even mention what Cooper did.  Looks like a bit of a popcorn defense where there are a lot of ups and downs but enough ups (sacks and turnovers) to win the game.  Wasn't the 2011 D a lot like that?  Their problem was in the secondary instead of vs. the run but at the end of the day, the offense kept that D off the field and the D grabbed a lot of turnovers.  In games where the offense stalled, they lost.  And that offense was way more talented. I guess the difference being this D has pretty much won some games for the offense though they were in Sept.

I think the D is one very good/excellent ILB and another DL hog away from being elite. The secondary isn't there yet but they're young and I think they're on their way.  We're set at OLB.

A lot of football left to enjoy but they really need to figure out a way to shore up the run D when they get into Nov./Dec.

Let’s see if he can stay healthy for half the season.  That would be a step in the right direction.  Talent and ability has never been the problem with King.

TJ Watt has missed one game in his career.  23.5 sacks and 28 TFL in 36 games.  Not too shabby.

As for the defense overall, I think they are better and will continue to improve but I worry when they play a QB like Wentz that doesn’t turn the ball over.  Just about every team they would play come January will feature a guy like that whether it’s Wilson or Brees or Goff or even Jimmy G.

Pad Stafford is off to a good start so far and I think he will test the D as well.  Need to get pressure on him!

I can see how some don't trust this D yet. BUT I think the difference now is that they get pressure on the QB and they generate turnovers which hasn't happened for a few years now.  Why I trust this defenese is that now it is well coached, they are agressive as hell, physical, get after the opponent, and we could trust them to win a game for the Packers if need be.

Do they give up too many yards right now? yep they do but I would bet good money if they stay healthy they will get that fixed.

Did you have SB aspirations before the season started?     Enjoy and appreciate the significant progress that has been made and understand we still have a large window with #12.

I for one had a lot of optimism but I didn't have any real expectations of a Super Bowl this year.  But, I am very excited about what I have seen from this team so far and the direction they are going.   I think with Gute running the show with another offseason this team could be on its way to something special.

So far, so good with this D. I look forward to the young'uns maturing and getting better and better. Remember that last year at this time we were singing the praises of JJackson and this year he hardly sees the field. Did his play decline or is it that the talant is so much better now? I think it's the latter. Jackson started 10 games last year; this year, zero. Brice started 10 games last year. If they continue to mature, stay healthy, and progress, the sky's the limit with this D.
