As a commenter pointed out, Bobo was wide open at the 40. Lock missed him.

Bobo was at the 47, when the QB made his decision to throw underneath, and didn't turn his head around for another 2 steps until at the 43

... Not sure if the move up to the booth is permanent, but maybe it's been helping him.

They just need to plug his headphones into a soundtrack from last year's game and the men on the sideline can make the real calls.

.... Can Fields be the guy? The never ending question. By all accounts he's a fierce worker and great kid with all the tools. However, he's got to improve his awareness and quick decisions. Bears gave Mitch 4 years. If Fields falters, I hope Bears brass moves quick and puts those 2 first rounders (and possibly more) to work next spring to get a new QB. Enough is enough...

That constant question can't be good for Fields and the team.
It's reached a point to where it's not really fair to Fields, but it comes with the territory. I just don't know if you have the coaches on staff that could/will/have develop(ed) him.

I don't think Fields will ever have long-term success, but he remains a dangerous weapon. Just one scramble or coverage breakdown can cause a big swing in any game, because he can burn their ass with a run or pass.
Your point about acquiring better weapons at receiver is notable.

How long has Fields been in the League?  ....And this last draft was the first time the Bears FO gave him any decent OL and FA protection. Will he use it? I don't know. Betting his instinct is to run after his first read comes up empty, again. Man, they suck!

bearsFields led the Bears to the #1 overall pick in the draft. They could have gotten the top QB in the draft and a 4th rounder from the Cowboys for Fields. They blew it again!

If I look at the entire NFC North position for position.....

Which team would you rather have?

Bears? Nope 👎🏼

Lions? Uh uh

Vikings?!?! 🤭

Only players I'd like are Justin Jefferson and Eddie Jackson & Kerby Joseph

Found in the comments on the YouTube video: This game is being way overblown. I know the bears have pressure to win this game, but with their injuries on the Oline, I think they gonna lose and everybody gonna make a HUGE deal out of it. The bears offense will start off slow in the first month, but remember, it's a marathon, not a race, and I think once the bears Oline get straitened away a little, Fields and the O will be one of the best in the NFC and lead them to the playoffs with a 9-8 record.

Even so, it's only week one. We beat the 49ers last season in week one, and then we went 2-14 the rest of the way. Granted our offense was explosive, so hopefully that carries into this season. Our defense is what I'm most concerned about, as well as our O Line which is already completely decimated by injury. Pray for Fields' health. Lol.

7/10 pick the Pack. Hate it 🤬

Most of the winning picks have the Packers racking up some points. That is good to see.  I thought scoring was going to be the Love downfall.

This is hilarious 😆

K. Brandt predicted 13-4 for the Bears.

Calling the game the "Xanax Bowl" because if Packers score a TD on opening drive, the city of Chicago might melt down. 🤣😂

Love always starts out slow anyway. R-E-L-A-X....it's a long season and I'm sure the overreactions will be gigantic.

Of course a Packer is helping make the Bears a better team - they're doing it all over the league. Davante in Vegas, now Rodgers and about 5 other Packers in New Jersey on the Jets.

If Tonyan is healed and has that "juice" from 2 years ago, he's going to be the "juice" in the Bear offense. Him and Cole Kmet

Bears fans are expecting their team to give packers a major beat down. Amazing how those delusional fans believe that when their team was the worst in the league last year.  Hopefully reality sets in about 7 pm et next Sunday.

Too good not to share!

Except for the NFL blocks it.

Hard to beat #1. I could watch Kuhn with the kickout block and Joe Buck screaming "Cobb!" all day long. Only play missing was the Raji pick 6 in the 2010 NFCCG.

I had the radio on while watching the TV broadcast. Larry McCarren yelling "HE'S GOT COBB!" wasn't bad either!

FWIW..

And knowing how conservative the Packers are with injuries:

So Fields taking a knee is supposed to scare Packers fans? Looks like a “business decision” to me. GPG!

Don't forget, kneeling is one of the most disrespectful things a person can do.

I look forward to seeing how much he has improved as a RB. I'm expecting he's still a shit QB.

13-4 is a 3 year aggregate, and a bunch of games "don't count" because of a different reasons Bear fans come up with.

"We would have won that game if Fields wasn't so strong he kept overthrowing guys, so that one doesn't count."

Because the Packers seem to have won 90% of the games over the last 30 the luster is gone. The rivalry really was at it's height in the 60s with Butkus, Nitschke, Lombardi, Halas, and Abe Gibron.
