If the Bears do decide on keeping Fields, maybe they trade that #1 pick for a HerschelWalker-trade like boatload of picks/players.

That said, Caleb Williams is just such a great prospect it is going to suck for them if they guess wrong on Fields and Williams turns some other downtrodden franchise around.  Williams isn’t perfect, nobody is, but he’s just so good at hitting guys while he’s scrambling that it really does remind you of Mahomes.

You have to keep Fields in the pocket and make him be a QB. Can't let him escape and make plays with his legs.

Let's see if Barry has what it takes in what's virtually another playoff game.

Rush 4 with Quay as a spy on passing downs.     Behind it, man under with a single high.   Make him beat you by hitting guys in stride.

They will get some plays, but they won't grind us down that way.

Keys to the Packer/Bear game this Sunday. Win 3 of these 4 keys, and, we go to the playoffs. Simple.
1) Maintain your gaps, don't over rush, and don't allow Fields to have an open field. That is where he can kill our defense.
2) Our young receivers and tight ends have got to catch everything thrown their way. Equally important- BE AGGRESSIVE! GO GET THE BALL- don't wait for the ball to come to you. This is where the Bears defense excels; they attack. We need both Watson and Reed to play, even as partial decoys using their speed.
3) Alexander has to shut DJ Moore down. No zone coverage. He will kill us if you put him up against a base zone package.
4) Double team Montez Sweat. He is that good.

I'm going to sound admittedly like a muncher here but I'm not really looking at the Bears' wins so much as how they're playing.  Some of that of course has to do with their opponents but Fields vs ATL looked elite.  He wasn't just tossing ducks to wide open receivers, he was putting balls in tough places and their passing game looked legit.  On top of that, our D's biggest weakness is vs the run, which CHI does pretty well.  I'm glad this game is at Lambeau.

I'm not so sure winning this game makes Barry's return that much more likely.  He has a pattern in GB of crapping all over the regular season and then pulling rabbits out of hats late to get everyone all worked up about his finally figuring things out.  Then just going soft joe blow the next year.

Yeah, he’s kind of had that Wayne Fontes vibe.

My dream is that we have the game well in hand in the fourth quarter so Clifford can come in again to get snaps and Lambeau is rocking with LOUD TBSS chants....

Maybe toss a few bombs to Melton. That was hilarious. " Our back up is better than what The Vikings have combined!"

Could be cheap insurance. He's probably a better option than Patrick Taylor if Jones or Dillon go down.

I'd claim him and keep him inactive for Week 18. 60K is nothing in terms of the cap. If something happens to Jones or Dillon, you can activate him for the playoffs.

If you don't make the playoffs, you could end up with a late round comp pick for 60K.

If you do make the playoffs, you potentially keep him off another playoff roster if there is an injury in Week 18.

Win the turnover battle , or at least don't lose it and we win.

What's rong with a 51-49 game?  Barry's defense gets steamrolled yet the Packers still win.  Best of both worlds. Good bye Joe Blow, hello playoffs.

If I saw this score without watching the game I'd agree 100%, but I don't think my heart could take a game like this

Like the Monday night Dickey vs. Theismann game? That was great. 48-47 was it?

Bears vs Packers is special to me and my family.   This year, we went to Park Falls WI on opening weekend to bury my father.   We chose that Sunday because we wanted to make it part of the celebration of life.  Me, My Brother, and my 3 Uncles  buried my Dad that Sunday morning and placed some of his ashes in his favorite trout creek.   When that was over we went to the bar to watch the game together like we did every Sunday at Grandmas house from as early as I can remember until I moved out of State.

None of us expected the Packers to win that day, we were just hoping they showed promise.   What a fucking day it was.   September 10th, 2023 is my favorite Packer vs Bear game.

Do it again boys.

I really hope the Bears stays with Fields and skip out on drafting a QB with their #1 pick.

Would be awesome if they kept Fields and Williams went to an NFC team and a couple years down the road there was a SB with Williams vs Mahomes.

You mean that Williams goes to an AFC team, Williams and Mahomes meet in the AFC title game, and Jordan Love and the Packers beat the winner of that game in the Super Bowl?

There’s been so many great memories in wins over the Bears it’s hard to pick 1 favorite.

The one that I felt more emotions about than any other was beating the Bears at Lambeau in the “Instant replay game” in Fall 1989.  That game broke an 8 game win streak by the Bears that felt like 100 years instead of just 5 years of futility for the Pack.  I watched the game with a bunch of Vikings and Bears fans in my dorm at UW-Green Bay.  Just so much fun to see that losing streak end.

There’s been more important games that the Pack has won over the Bears, but from a pure emotional standpoint maybe because I still was pretty young, that one was my all time favorite win.
