I remember having a boner a few years back when the Packer D got Z and some other players back for the 49er's playoff game only to be left limp with my tears lubricating my hand.

Been that long, eh.

Don't really know the validity of this, but a Cubs message board I go to has a Bears/NFL section.  Pretty knowledgeable sports posters on that board.  Anyway, a consensus of them is that Justin Fields's best games this season (like last week against Atlanta) are when teams play man coverage and/or don't double DJ Moore.  They say Fields has been pretty bad each game against zone, and referenced the Packers play a majority zone D.

MLF and Love will have a full crew at WR/TE on Sunday.
I think Jenkins will play too

This is glue.  Strong stuff.

Firstly, here's to no injuries!

Love appears to be the real deal, especially to this QB phobic Bears fan. Don't ask me to evaluate QB's. No Bears fan can. It's not in our DNA. We just don't know!

That said, this game is going to be great. Can you all feel it? Two teams on the come up, with so much at stake. Packers win and they're in, Bears win and thwart the Packers it feels like Chicago hits the offseason hot and high from a fantastic 2nd half of the season.

I took my family out from Colorado to Solider Field for week one and we had a blast. Tons of memories and lots of lessons during that debacle of a game. I am seriously considering making a last min run to GB to bookend the season. Would be epic. I don't have the time or energy to do a full breakdown, but here is my prediction:

Bears 31

Packers 17

Oh ya, have to play zone against Fields. That way the DBs can have their eyes on him when he scrambles and they force him to look for the open spot in the zones. Not his greatest strength. Still doesn’t mean that FJB should play soft zones on every down.

I think you have to play at least some zone vs Fields because of his running ability. I know that we could play man and spy (Walker as Boris suggests), but that puts one defender out of coverage. If we do spy, the spy has to stay at the LOS, 3-5 yards behind our rushers. If there is too much room between the spy and our rushers it allows Fields to get a head of steam before encountering the spy, who then has little chance of tackling him. That was Capers problem, he'd have guys like Frank Zumbo trying to tackle Kaeperneck 5 yards past the LOS ... no chance.

Bears 31

Packers 17

Honestly, I'll be disappointed if the Packers lose but I can't be too upset either way.

I know this much.....if the Packers don't turn the ball over, they ain't losing.

What's up with Emmanuel Wilson? With Dillon out this would be the perfect game to return.

@KyleMalzahn:   #Packers RB Emanuel Wilson said that the expectation is for him to be activated off IR for Sunday's game against the #Bears.

With AJ Dillon ruled out, Wilson gives the running back room depth. Wilson injured his shoulder in week 11 and said he's felt good since week 13 vs. KC.

This is big if he can't play...

Soft is the key word there. The fool is known for it.

Wilson is fresh...Stay tuned to the transaction wire.
Roster spots are at a premium right now.
GB has 53 on the current list and needs to make a move for Musgrave and another for Wilson if they want him active on Sunday

Graphical representation of the Packers offense over the last few weeks
( 11-17)...looking real good and slightly ahead of Dallas and Balt.

Bears defense also performing at a very high level too while their offense has been average

From all accounts I've read and heard, Fields is still not making the anticipation throws, which is what you need to do vs zone.  He is doing well with man coverage because he knows and sees his receivers get open and throws to the open guy.  Man coverage also knows it's vulnerable to Fields running and that may have the DB's playing a little safer and peaking back at the QB, which also loosens their coverage.

Is it potentially disrupting the apple cart a bit to have guys like Musgrave and Watson back in the lineup and trying to get them looks, after being out so much?  I know we've seen Watson's presence loosen up everything else but the offense has been humming pretty well without him and Musgrave.  Hope I'm wrong.

We do win if we don't turn the ball over but the CHI D has been very good in that category.  I see a TO or 2 but still a close game.

Rams are in. They're not going to be some sacrificial lamb in the playoffs. Not an easy out.

If Packers get in, which defense shows up will decide whether they're an easy out or not.

Congrats, your hopes have been realized !

MLF has balanced a revolving door at WR with a different crew each week this season. And he's managed to deliver a top 5 offense (by EPA) despite the challenges of having so much youth & so much change.

He'll handle Sunday's crew just fine... same as it ever was.

Visions and fears of a defensive disaster are starting to enter my conscious. I keep forgetting we're only 2 weeks removed from our last meltdown, and last weekend was predicated on a rookie QB starting.

Doubs, has been on the field every single game this year. He's tied for most receiving TDs for the Packers and is 2nd in receiving yards.

He's never left the revolving door.
