A couple of years ago I was able to listen to games on WTMJ when I was out of the US. Now I get blocked. So, now I will end up paying for radio service when out of the country. I don’t feel like buying an online service for the month or so I am away. I am such a cheapskate! But I do have Sunday Ticket when I go back home to South Carolina.

And having this site give its comments and analysis (as well as humor) is good.

@TomSilverstein:  #Packers injury situation basically unchanged. CB Kevin King and OLB Preston Smith are both questionable. #Cardinals will be without DE JJ Watt (shoulder), who has been declared out. GB will announce tomorrow if MVS is activated and which PS WRs are Covid replacements.

@zachkruse2
J.J. Watt is third among NFL DL in pass-rush win rate. He would have had really favorable matchups against Packers interior OL. Without Watt, protection can give more help against Jones/Golden. Keeping Rodgers clean is best chance to win. Passer rating from clean pockets: 128.5.

JJ Watt is listed as out.

Another big injury for TNF: The #AZCardinals say J.J. Watt is out vs #Packers with a shoulder injury.

So ah, what’s the first big injury???   Another big injury for TNF: The #AZCardinals say J.J. Watt is out vs #Packers with a shoulder injury.

What’s the first injury he’s talking about or did I read this wrong??

Listened to TMJ milking cows, until they dipped the signal strength in the evening and you couldn't hear through the static anymore

I want to see the offense run 4 straight jet sweeps tomorrow.  One to the left, one to the right, one to the left and one to the left just to mix things up.

Surprised the news about Lazard isn't being discussed more

maybe fantastic  news,  maybe more good news

To add on here, reported on NFL Network that Adams could potentially travel on his own to Arizona on Thursday afternoon if he receives two negative tests (the second one being Thursday morning) There’s still a chance Adams plays Thursday night, albeit a very small one

He must have tested negative this morning.?

Assuming Adams and Larzard are out, running the ball will be more important than ever to set up the pass.  I have not paid enough attention, but have Jones and Dillon spent much time in the backfield together?  Both are pretty solid receivers and would add a little uncertainty as to whether its a pass or a run.

Good, bad, or otherwise, this seems to be a trend in the major markets.
I'm guessing being the flagship station for pro sports teams creates the market share they desire, because they sure are willing to fork over huge rights fees.

For instance, here in Atlanta, the Falcons and Braves both left their long-time home on AM, and bidding wars erupted. "Classic Rock" stations eventually won, even with no prior experience broadcasting live sports.

It would be interesting to see them activate Patrick Taylor and run a pseudo-wishbone a number of plays to create matchup problems with backs motioning wide and to the slot, not knowing which one was going to actually be in the backfield on any given play.

MLF's game plans are quite specific to who we are playing. Lastbtime we used 2 RBs a lot was in playoffs vs. Rams. They would motion one out, a LBer would go with him, leaving 5 defenders vs 5 blockers which allowed us to run all over them. What I will never understand is this; we did the same thing on the first play vs. TB and they did not bring an ILBer out of the box to go with him. Jones had two WR's on that side to block but AR handed off to Williams who went nowhere, could not understand why AR didn't throw to Jones ... never went back to that again.

One of the weirder-ass build ups to a game that I can remember. Wouldn’t be surprised if we hear:

- Rodgers agrees to play left-handed for the game.

- Murray forced to wear a double jockstrap to limit mobility all in the name of gamesmanship.

- Crosby attempts to drop kick a 79 yd FG with IcyHot lathered on his balls.

Just showing FBG's view on the news

Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams is expected to be out for the Week 8 game. He is currently on the Reserve/COVID-19 list.

Adams did not travel with the team to Arizona. They're already without Allen Lazard, so expect more from TE Robert Tonyan and RB Aaron Jones as a receiver out of the backfield.

I think EQSB is going to do something on Thursday. This is pretty much his shot

@AdamSchefter: Cardinals’ DE J.J. Watt will undergo what is now likely to be season-ending shoulder surgery, sources tell ESPN. No date set yet for surgery.

Watt hurt his shoulder in the second quarter Sunday and still managed to play the rest of the game with the injury.

Some might counter that comment with Z.Smith.

Comparing Watts health to Z’s? Since 2016, there really is no comparison. Watt has missed far more games and it’s not even close.

Comparing not extending Z vs not signing Watt? That’s probably more comparable (though we still don’t know if Z is back this season and will return to form if he does).

Boris - I've actually had this same thought since Monday's news about DA. Despite what "fans" on this board think about EQ, it appears Rodgers likes the guy, his work ethic, and ability.  I referenced this in the thread about AR's "ownership of the TBSS" comments on the McAfee podcast.  AR specifically mentioned him by name and about EQ's ability.  I guess we'll see. I'm hoping AR completes passes to 9-10 different targets and they rush for 150-200 yards.

After 92 years #Packers games will no longer be broadcast on WTMJ Radio. Beginning next year The Packers Radio Network is moving to 97.3 The GAME, in Milwaukee. Just announced by the Green Bay Packers.

This might have been a big deal 60 years ago when cars had only am receivers. It's not like WTMJ supplied the talent, format or content for Packer broadcasts. It's just a transmitter on the Packer radio network. As long as the market is covered, the Packers should go with the highest bidder.
