Potential for disappointment directly related to level of expectations and they're not particularly high for this one. As was stated, the team needs to think long-term which is why the decision to rest MVS strikes me as a good one.

Stokes is about as battle tested as a rookie can get at corner 7 games into his NFL career. Kid has held his ground. Tonight he’s gonna get his share of snaps against Hopkins. No easy task. Hopkins is nursing a tweaked hamstring so that’s a fun matchup to watch.

I have a ton of great memories growing up on a farm listening to Jim Irwin call a game.  We didn't have to milk cows but would be out cutting wood, fixing fences, my Dad drinking warm Stroh's, and listening to the Packers on the radio.  Great memories except for the warm Stroh's part.

Blatz wasn't on sale? Old Milwaukee was our go to for the stock car races on Sunday nights. You could buy a case on Theodore Cleaver's allowance!

AND the Brahns were without Chubbsy-Ubbsy IIRC

That wasn't exactly the blowout it looked like. Cards jumped out to a lead. Mayfield made some throws and Hunt had some success running the ball. They were down 20-0 and cut it to 23-14 on a hail mary before half. Mayfield took the opportunity in the second half to do Mayfield type things- a bad int and numerous terrible sacks that cut their legs out from getting back into the game. But Stefanski was finding some things that worked had they executed better and limited mistakes. Mayfield was more injured than they let on, as well. GB has as many weapons as CLE, even without Adams/Lazard. They also have a qb who isn't so willing to offer up mistakes. If they play smart football and win TOP, there's no reason they can't be in a position to win tonight. The guy they may miss the most could be Jamaal Williams, as he was dependable af in situations like this. I'm not sure they've found that same attribute yet with this roster. I expect the Pack to play with a chip on their shoulder tonight.

Someone remind me if: 1) we're playing the same team that essentially lost to the bandwagon franchise in week 2 but for a missed chip shot field goal that even Allen thought was good; and 2) we're better than the bandwagon franchise even without our top 3 receivers.

It's a common opponent conference game where we can add more space to the divisional lead. Zero reason we can't win.

From packers.com:

The Green Bay Packers activated TE Dominique Dafney off injured reserve, activated WR Malik Taylor from the reserve/COVID-19 list, elevated G Ben Braden from the practice squad to the active roster for gameday and elevated WR Juwann Winfree from the practice squad to the active roster for gameday as a COVID-19 replacement. The transactions were announced Thursday by General Manager Brian Gutekunst.

The Cardinals are likely going to have both safeties pretty close the LOS. Without Adams or MVS, there isn't much chance of getting beat deep. It makes it hard to do much of anything against the run, but if you break one there is no one in the deep middle to stop a home run.

They need to stay in 12-personnel all game and just play "guess" with pass/run, hell go 13 a lot while you're at it.   ARZ has been lights out vs. TE's this year so Tonyan and Lewis, maybe Deguara and Daffney, need to earn some money.   ARZ will have heavy boxes so somebody not named 17, 13 or 83 needs to step up.  Could be Cobb.

This might have been a big deal 60 years ago when cars had only am receivers. It's not like WTMJ supplied the talent, format or content for Packer broadcasts. It's just a transmitter on the Packer radio network. As long as the market is covered, the Packers should go with the highest bidder.

Some cars can stream radio stations like 97.3 The Game. What is AM  radio?

This guy's available and has a history of playing well in Phoenix. Fire up the jet.

He holds the NFL record for the most yards receiving on a single offensive drive in history (101 yards). Of course, over the rest of his 56 game career, he added another 245 yards.

And you can get gas station bbq next door.

I wanted to say this would be a career game but I checked to be sure.

5 for 94 is the best game of his career back in 2018 so this is it for sure! Make it happen ESB.

I was waaaaaayyyy off on that one. But I don’t mind, the W is sweet!

Sit everyone. Start Love. All backups. Get a mini bye in before the actual bye in 6 weeks. Lose by 40. Live to fight a bigger fight. NBA regular season stuff.

You can't win the conference in week 8 2021 on a short week. But you sure as fuck could lose it with a hurt team.

Shake the NFL up MLF!

I'm leaning this way too.   Especially if Bahk and MVS are still out.    Just call it a bye week and get ready for KC.

I thought the same thing too. My thinking was mostly because it was a Thursday game and the injury problems just seem worse for these types of games. I was worried about things like Tonyan's ACL injury happening at a higher probability without much benefit if the Cards were going to roll them.

I did not see that defensive performance coming at all and I thought the Packers would struggle on the third down and in the red zone without a WR to get separation or the size to basically postup.
