Good story on our passing game.
@RochNyFan posted:That was my first game ever at Lambeau. Been a Packer fan since the John Brockington/MacArthur Lane days but never made the investment in tix, airfare, hotel and car rental until my daughter became a huge fan as well. Obviously, all those arrangements were booked way ahead of time and then the f'ing Bears break Rodgers' collarbone and we get to see the Seneca Wallace & Scott Tolzien show. To make matters worse, the next trip we booked was the Saints game, right after Anthony Barr put Rodgers out for the season. Freaking Brett "Bubble gum" Hundley was way worse than Tolzien.
Damn, you had a bad start!
I got to see the whole saga in 2013. Was there for the Bears game when Pakrz man crush took out Rodgers on the opening drive. Watched the huge drop off from Rodgers to Wallace.
Was at the Eagles game because a friend gave us some tickets. Normally wouldn't be there for a Gold package game.
Giants game was on the road but was there again the following week to see Tolzien struggle in the first half then Flynn came in to save the day, sort of.
I've never been to a game that the Packers didn't win that felt so much like a win. That tie put up over the top when all was said and done!

We've done better lately, and I've tried to make it an annual trip for me, my daughter and one of my sons. Saw them beat the Bills in 2018 (when Rodgers opened up about his dissatisfaction with the offense) and the Broncos last year.
Exhibit A of why a bye week matters:
One of the shortest injury reports of the year for the Packers. https://t.co/uCtKVpXblt pic.twitter.com/wAfg1CLrRu

Hopeful that keke can make his way back for next week- he was starting to come on lately
Lazard has not seemed the same since his surgery.
@YATittle posted:Lazard has not seemed the same since his surgery.
It will probably take until next season to really recover from that type of injury. It seems that most of his catches after he's returned have been crossing patterns or short outs where he doesn't have to extend his arms or turn his body. That makes sense with a core injury, but it takes away from something he does well which is to use his frame to jump over guys and extend his arms to beat tight coverage.
Luckily he plays in an MLF offense which actually tries to scheme guys open. If he were in an MM offense he'd be unplayable because he is not likely to be a threat in tight coverage if he can't twist his body and extend for catches. We all saw what D. Adams looked like in 2015 when he was expected to beat guys 1X1 with his leg injury and he was statistically the worst WR in football that year.

Yep. I think the bye week will help but doubt he will be himself this year.
Oh s**t
@FieldYates: The Packers have placed recently signed OT Jared Veldheer on the COVID-19 list as a result of a positive test.
Valdheer on the Covid list with a positive test.
Some guesswork re: Veldheer.
“ @TomSilverstein: Explains why he was not at practice Wednesday. It almost certainly rules him out for Saturday, but not necessarily for the whole post-season. A bigger question is did anyone have close contact with him in Green Bay?
Since the #Packers probably found out about his test at 6 a.m. and still conducted practice, it probably means they did all the contact tracing and came up with no close contacts. Now they'll hold their breath no one else contracts it. “
Obvious next question...was he in the locker room?

That could be a dagg.....
Th question is why the fuck was he even let in the building
He tested negative everyday up to this point, that’s why.
ah shit.
Ruettgers would have faked COVID to get out of training camp.

Knew that guy as he's another Bakersfield boy, he always had his head on his shoulders, was working as a real estate appraiser in the offseason and I had a friend who worked with him. Once had a shirt he gave him as the friend was not a Packer fan. He moved up to Oregon and as I understand has been active in an organization trying to counsel CURRENT players so they don't go broke after their playing days. I'm pretty certain he was smart with his money from his 10 year career....
But he did hate training camp.
@packerboi posted:Source said that Veldheer had tested negative Monday before being allowed to enter the #Packers facility and so that means the positive reading came from a Tues. morning test. He practiced w/the team and took part in meetings Tues., but tracing must have shown no close contacts.
Going to be a very stressful week of seeing what the fallout is. Hopefully mo other positive tests. Given the incubation period, we won’t be in the clear until after the NFFC.

He got a Super Bowl ring by playing 4 games in 1996.
Is swerve still alive...any chance he may be activated for the playoffs? Just haven't heard any word about the swerve!

complete radio silence...not sure why, but he's a missing person at this point
Supposedly the Rams D is not good on play action . Don’t know where to get the stats on that
2-4 inches of snow between tonight and Saturday morning. Just missed by about 36 hours. That would have been fun to see.
Game time temps calling for about 29 degrees with windchills around 20. WC's should drop into the teens by the time the sun dips down.

Paul Joseph's tells me to watch for some NE winds with possible LE snows from an Alberta Clipper Saturday afternoon/evening.
...but tracing must have shown no close contacts.
Thank goodness. We were lucky. That was a close call.
I'm not exhaling yet. The peak time to test is 4-5days after transmission, no? You can test negative immediately after transmission. I could be off a little on this?
You are correct. However, if there were no close contacts to other players the chance of further transmission is really, really low.

Again, I fully assume Donald and Goff play. But comparing GB, that's a pretty banged up group.
The Seahawks beat these mofo's up.
Brian Daboll, Josh Allen, and the Bills were the lone team to unlock this Rams defense in 2020. Their ability to use play-action, particularly near the goal line, provides Green Bay with some useful instructions. https://t.co/VWNhC9MD0A

Maybe partially....The Rams played really hard too. Told ya...
The Rams were the better team...the better team usually wins.
The linked article Boris posted above does not conclude whether there is an advantage when #1 O faces #1 D in playoff history. It does though pull into the conversation overall team ranks and how it is (mostly) the better team that comes out on top.
Read with caution as there is a certain 2014 NFCCG referenced.
