LaFleur said the CB Jaire Alexander is getting close to return, but they don't have a true test for tackling and so they are just trying to get him comfortable in his pads and do what they can to test his shoulder. Said the contact/tackling is the last step in clearing him.

From the Packer website:

The Green Bay Packers have activated LB Chauncey Rivers (reverts to injured reserve) from the reserve/COVID-19 list, placed T Dennis Kelly and S Darnell Savage on the reserve/COVID-19 list, placed WR David Moore on the practice squad reserve/COVID-19 list and released K Elliott Fry from the practice squad. General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transactions Monday.

Give AR  a cameo if he insists on playing. I would not let Clark any where near the field.   Treat all others as if it is a preseason game.

Oh, and stress to all the seriousness of this chance, ask the guys to stay away from people as much as possible over the next month or so.  One bad infection by one careless guy can fuck up the whole team.

One month.

Given he's on the reserve/COVID-19 list, I doubt he'll be able to go this weekend since he'll miss practice most of the week--which is a shame because I'd love for him to get some game snaps before the playoffs to get rid of any dust.

Savage was also placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

Any word on Myers and Turner? I think Z is dunzo.

I saw a random youtube clip pop up today where the guy was referencing a tweet from one of the national writers (sorry, didn't catch who) saying Z was back in the facility with his teammates and suggested that meant he was close to practicing.  For whatever that's worth.

Z Smith was on the sidelines last night.

So as soon as we get a decent returner, he ends up on the C-reserve list? Ugh.

Packers coach Matt LaFleur said LT David Bakhtiari (knee) will return to practice this week and could play on Sunday against the Lions.

Sounds familiar.

I would need Bahk to play a significant amount of snaps before letting him play in the playoffs.    Yosh has been steady and it doesn't make sense to rush Bahk in there if he can't move.    Let him show what he can do against Det and knock off some rust.

Same thought for Jaire but with tackling.   If he can't go against Det because of Covid then the plan should be to play him as CB3 or CB4 in the playoffs to get his feet wet.    Do not throw him out as CB1 without any game action for the past 3 months.

Agree, I hope all the walking wounded can play. Right now all units are doing pretty well, if and when guys come back no need to start them.  The D guys can rotate in in the various down and distance packages.  The O guys, just being available as backups and playing as needed will be fine.  However if the current starters shit the bed against the better teams they will be facing all bets are off.

Packers activated WR Amari Rodgers and DL Kingsley Keke from the COVID-19 reserve list today. They both have a roster exemption expiring tomorrow, so expect both to be back.

AR was asked about this is regards to Bak ... he said "I'll take Bak back in the lineup at 60%"

It's a bit scary to think of Savage and Moore playing last night, then testing positive (my assumption) today. Seems like a lot of the team would have been exposed.
Also interesting to note that the Vikings placed 5 players on Covid list today.

If there was a good time for the Rona to run a train on this team it’s now…19 days until meaningful football will be played. Get it over with.

In my opinion, there are 3 starters that the Packers absolutely could not afford to lose going into the playoffs: AR, DA, KC .  If you lose any of those three there is no one on the roster even close to their ability.  I would also consider De'Vondre Campbell very close to indispensable as well as Yosh Nijman (if Bahk can't play).

That said, I'm leaning towards MLF's preference of playing his starters.  Three weeks off is too much time, especially for "skilled" position players.  The only one that I'd be fine with sitting that long is KC.

It really is an impossible situation for MLF in terms of being second guessed.

Make everyone makeout with Savage.    Forfeit the Lions game and the entire team is clear through the super bowl.

WINNING!

I'm in the play the game camp.    I don't want guys coming into a playoff game without any game action for 2 weeks.    Play the Lions, take a week off, kick some ass.

FWIW, Rodgers and Adams said right after the Vikings game that they want to play against Detroit.  They think it's important to keep the rhythm.  Rodgers also said he hopes that some of the guys that have been out for a while can play this week because having rust is real and it takes a bit to get back into the swing of things.  Practice only can do so much.

I think the starters will play a half, and anyone who is coming off injury and can play will test the waters a bit if they are able, if only to ease back into it.  This is the perfect game for it if there was one.

Well, part of our dream Week 18 scenario is over. We won't get Boger's crew to officiate. We're getting Scott Novak's.

A Love-Boyle second-half shootout is still in play. A duel between the St. Brown brothers is also on the table. The most important thing is, of course, Talib and Gus Johnson in the booth.

@NFL_Talk_Sports
Packers’ OL David Bakhtiari is expected to practice this week and could end up playing some on Sunday vs. the Lions, per sources. GB could possibly have Bakhtiari and Alexander back this week, with a chance of LB Za’Darius Smith returning for the divisional round.

Can you imagine Snoop and Betty White together? What a riot. I wonder if they have ever worked together?

IMDb lists a 2019 animated film called Trouble as the only movie to have cast both of them.  I have no idea if they had any scenes together.
