GB/SF games were a lot of fun in the '90's.
We generally played them pretty tough even when we were terrible, but after that first playoff win in '96, we had their number.
Of course, in '97 we had beat them in the regular season, then gobstomped 'em in that playoff game.
They didn't win again until '99, and that required a terrible call from the refs.

Likely will sign a punter today, just in case. They have an open roster spot.  Last year, when Scott's wife was expecting to deliver their first child, the Packers signed Drew Kaser on a Saturday before the Patriots game, then released him the day after the game.

Why can't a punter play? He's in for maybe a dozen plays in the game.  He employs 2 skills that are completed in 3 seconds or less. Only one requires any physical exertion at all. He doesn't have to run or block or tackle. You won't convince me his discomfort is any greater than that of an average lineman on an average game day.

Didn’t sign an emergency punter.

Activated Raven Greene instead.

@RobDemovsky: The Packers have activated S Raven Greene in advance of Sunday's NFC Championship Game. He was designated to return off IR (ankle) and has been practicing for the last two weeks. They didn't have to make room since they had an open spot.

If he has to punt, when he is sick, expect 10-20 yard punts to happen because he doesn't have the strength to punt long ones. If you get the flu, I'll bet all you want to do is crawl into your bed. Now that Opie has it, you expect him to suit up and play? Ridiculous!

God damn it. JK Scott not playing tomorrow because he's sick is nonsense. Nonsense.

Is this confirmed or just fearmongering!?

But seriously, as a punter cant they just shoot him up with some B12 and crack the smelling salts when he needs to be out there?

If he plays they better quarantine his ass.  Put him in his own tent.  Give him some cocoa and blankies and call him when you need him or just let the kid rest.  It's the flu, not a cold.
