I see Brady's agent is trying to deflect the guilt.

Don Yee, Tom Brady’s agent: “The Wells report, with all due respect, is a significant and terrible disappointment.“

“The Wells report omitted nearly all of Tom’s testimony, most of which was critical. It would have provided context that it lacks”

Wells report "suggests it may be more probable than not the league cooperated w/Colts in perpetrating a sting operation."

Yee is making an honest statement, it was a "terrible disappointment".

Of course by omitting "to Tom Brady" and then calling out omissions and their relation to context is rather hypocritical.

Yes, that's why they snuck the balls out of the room, defied the refs, broke the rules, lied about it, covered it up, refused to cooperate, didn't make the witnesses available and claimed their innocence.

They did all of that NOT to gain an unfair advantage, risking getting caught, fined, penalized and ostracized.

Let me know when you're in the market for some awesome real estate, I've got just the parcel picked out for you.   Jesus ****

That just proves they went to a lot of effort to accomplish very little. What real advantage does this give you? Makes it easier for Brady to grip the ball, but it's not like it turned the ball into a NERF football. He still had to throw it accurately and actually play the QB position. It's easier to catch, but it's still a fastball coming at you and you still have to do all the other things a receiver has to do...it works both ways for receivers also, the ball is easier for the D to catch as Brady found out. They went to a lot of effort to film other teams signals, but what does that actually do for you? Guys have to see the signals, determine what that means, call a play based on that signal, all in about 20 seconds because most of those signals come after the D sees the personnel grouping. So no I don't think they got much out of any of it. They won because they were better than Indy, not because Brady could grip the ball better.

They broke the rules though and got caught, punish them. I don't think the Patriots do anything that every isn't doing, they're just sloppier about covering their tracks.

The Patriots consistently strike at the heart of the integrity of the game. It's pretty disgusting & shows even more why Belichick looks up to McCarthy & his program.

I was as surprised as any when Belichick complimented MM & the Packers

Yeah, I feel it's probably more a psychological thing for Brady rather than a physical thing. It's not like he hasn't done well with balls at legal inflation, but the slight deflation likely just feels "more comfortable" to him.

Right, they cheated for a psychological advantage so it's not really cheating?

For Brady football is 90% psychological and the other half is physical I can see how this was an advantage.

Tom Brady is a cheater. He'd better get used to wearing that badge around.

I wonder what the temperature of these peg boards would be this morning had New England beat Green Bay in the Super Bowl.

Let's just be honest. It's easier to dismiss this as nothing major because the end result was a Seattle loss.

These are the kinds of things cheating ****s like Brady do.

I'm not sure a year suspension is enough given how he orchestrated everything. But that's the starting point IMO.

What? One year? That's a little extreme. Fine him a game check. Ultomately, for little Tommy, getting busted is the ultimate punishment.

This comment.  #SCORCHINGHOTTAKE  Possibly the hottest take I've ever witnessed.

I think we can safely shut the internet down now, this will never be topped.  We can all go home now everyone, thanks for coming out.  Drive safely!

I'm of the thought he cheated for something he really didn't need from a physical standpoint is all. I make no judgements on his psychological "need" for a somewhat deflated ball outside of the theory that it is a psychological thing.

Cheating by doing something dumb and unnecessary is still cheating and while not a big deal in-and-of-itself, it is definitely part of a culture/pattern in New England and I would like to see a somewhat stricter punishment than maybe it would otherwise warrant.

Exactly. Tell that to Bin Laden

Here's a drink recipe: The Bin Laden Cocktail

2 Shots of Bulliet bourbon and a splash of salt water.

As much as Patriots fans may disagree, however, (1) the “preponderance of evidence” standard will be enough to warrant discipline from the NFL, and (2) circumstantial evidence does not mean that the evidence is not strong (recall that a former Patriots tight end was recently convicted of murder with only circumstantial evidence).

Belichick is known to compliment foes no matter who they are.  It doesn't mean anything and we don't know how sincere he was being when he made that statement.  It doesn't really matter what BB's opinion of MM is.

Sure, after the Pats beat the crap out of them NOT when they lose.

It matters because my point is Belichick showed respect towards MM & the Packers after the Pats lost. He doesn't do that very often. Go watch the end of the game & subsequent interviews.

Billy B & the Pats would love to be able to reach the level of the Packers as one of the flagship organizations of the league without cheating....but he can't. That's my point.

easy solution, just make them play with a balloon ball on offense.

Problem solved.

If the inflation level is no big deal as some small- brains have suggested, then playing with an over-inflated ball shouldn't be a problem either. Right Tommy Boy ?

NEW YORK CITY, New York - Green Bay Packers Receivers Caught Using Battery Powered Gloves; Cobb, Nelson Face Lifetime Ban

National Football League commissioner Roger Goodell announced this morning that after an undercover investigation, significant evidence has been uncovered suggesting that Green Bay Packers wide receivers Randall Cobb and Jordy Nelson have used battery-powered, ‘performance enhancing’ gloves during games this season. “We have found proof of wrong-doing by at least two players, Nelson and Cobb. Both players are facing a lifetime ban from the NFL,” Goodell said.

The performance enhancing gloves, called BPG’s – short for ‘battery powered gloves’ – work by acting as a magnet when a leather football is thrown in a spiraling motion, creating a force of circular-bound energy, attracting the leather football toward the BPG’s and sticking to them, therefore giving the receiver an unfair advantage.

This article shows how the Patriots became fumble proof starting in 2007.

Good stuff. Pretty telling that fumble proof Patriot players suddenly fumbled at alarming rates after leaving the Pats.

Since Flacco made that awful throw at the end of the playoff game that was picked, I have often wondered: Did the Pats sneak in a 'Brady Ball' for that series? It is the Pats......... And odds are that neither the Center, nor Flacco, would have noticed at that moment.

Bob Costas on NBC national news is predicting a 1 game suspension for Tommy. And this would of make it the opening game of the NFL season on national television. This would "show" that the NFL cares deeply about the integrity of the game.

Ya ok Bob. I believe it when I see it.
