Rawlings says you can't use ****ty examples.
I'll try to be clear (but not brief)
I don't care if he is an ass. I don't care if you don't like Sheryl Crow or the US Post Office. Not really germane.
I think to hold to your opinions regardless of what is in front of you is naive. That is how children think.
I think to adjust your position based on new information is how adults think.
I think it is reasonable to suspect Lance took some sort of chemical to be a better athlete. But really, if the standard for damnation is a accusation, then it should hold true for the entire field, which he decimated for 7 years.
I am fairly positive there are athletes out there using PED's and not yet caught, the cost/reward is to high for them not to try.
I do think that, as one of the most tested athletes in the world, Lance was always clean (according to the tests). To strip him based on accusations in this situation is a horrible way to do business.
If pictures of him shooting up appear, or receipts connecting him to BALCO, or the SuperMassSpectrometer2 (SMS2) is developed and his old specimens come up dirty, I will adjust my thinking. In the meantime, another guy saying he juiced with nothing else to back it up is simply inadequate to strip him of his accomplishments.

and I think this whole thing is just like the OJ case
You mean Lance Armstrong slit Sheryl Crow's throat? I missed that one.
Well, guess who refuses to have his urine retested, Bong?

Obama?
It is a well known fact that no Kenyan has ever taken a PED.
Do the athletic rules say you can take performance enhancing drugs so long as you don't get caught ? Probably not. The testing is just a verification system for the rule and that system changes all the time. The rule stays the same
And riddle me this one Armstrong fans:
What would any US group have to gain by besmirching the most famous and successful rider this country has ever produced ? His success only fueled interest, ratings and pay for everybody in cycling - why take a crap on all that ?
I'd think they would try to bury it instead...
Plus we got to rub it in the frenchies' face, who would want to give up that opportunity ?

We test regularly here at x4. Bong is the most tested. He's cone up clean every time.
Follow the rabbit hole. If you go back & test Lance you must go back and test every single rider in each of the 7 fields to be fair. Is even 1 rider clean? I'm guessing not
My results never show up, usually because Henry drinks my urine before it gets analyzed.
Sounds about right.

Yup! If the whole field is tainted I'm okay with Lance's performances. The whole field was tainted.
The whole USADA "witch hunt" idea is nothing but BS coming out of Lance's PR team. The USADA used the same rules and guidelines to go after Lance as they've used to go after every other doper. It only became a "witch hunt" when the target was Lance.
Lance has failed drug tests, but he used his money and power to cover the positives up.
After he was diagnosed with cancer in 96', he told his doctor that he had taken HGH, testosterone and EPO. So yeah, it's at least possible that his doping caused his cancer.
The USADA supposedly has a lot of evidence against Lance. He could have accepted arbitration and asked for a public hearing. Then all of the evidence would have been released. Instead, Lance took his bike and went home. He knows he's guilty and doesn't want the evidence to be released. So instead he has launched a PR war against USADA. The evidence will probably come out anyway as there are charges against many of Lance's former associates.
Lance has done many things to fight cancer, but he's still the biggest fraud in sports.

If that evidence comes out, I will agree with the decision.
If I were Lance, I'd stop throwing millions of dollars at defending the witch hunt as well.

If Lance has his way, we'll never see the evidence. Then all of his fanboys can continue to believe the myth.
You stated that Lance failed drug tests but used money to cover them up.
The question is simple. Do you have evidence stating such that I'm unaware of?

Yeah I know that. Just a knee jerk reaction. Won't happen again. (Yes it will, but just ignore it. I mean no harm).

An authorless blog post?
I have decided based on the witty banter here to take no stance on the subject.
Firmly.

Index of Lance Armstrong doping allegations over the years
Report: Armstrong hotel search cancelled in 2005
Armstrong 'tipped' off before doping tests
My guess is there will be a lot of information released soon, as well as all of the USADA's evidence.

Yeah, he didn't lose that testicle to cancer. I'm going with lack of circulation and general nut assault. Christ on a crutch, get a codpiece.
I can't tell if it is 1 o'clock or 7 o'clock
It's 1:45 or I'm reading that guy's package wrong. Do you think women look at a picture like that and go "ooh la la"?

What did he do, bag your sister or something?
Nah, just stuck in Austin where the hero worship is beyond ridiculous.
I REAd That entire article. It hasn't changed my mind. Every single rIder on the tour needs to be tested with the same criteria as Lance
I couldn't care less about Lance or anyone else in the sport. It sounds to me like the rider that finished last was the only one NOT doping. So is he the "winner" of the Tour De France??
If you're going to go back on 1 rider and re-test with new techniques, you need to test them all. Good luck with that.

can we all just agree to hate ChiliJon?

Right. He could take dump on a platter at 6th & Congress and people would come by to get a Dirty Armstrong.
His victories were probably only 70% who he was. EPO rebuilt his blood after chemo. Can't totally blame him for asking for a little more of that.
Gov't had 10 former teammates ready to rat him out... Guilty as sin!
