I hurt
I applaud all of you who have the ability to look objectively on this.
What I’d like to hear from Rodger’s Tuesday talk show: “I played like shit. I let the team down. It begins with me and I have not done my job.”
But I’m not holding my breath waiting to hear it!
Either the board takes control or this will go on for years.
New blood is needed at all levels, management, football operations, HC, QB.

I swear to gawd if he says that………..I will eat my Packer away flag. 🤪 He is NEVER gonna say it was his fault, EVER.
I think Walker and Watson will be good players. Football is a a brutal game, injuries happen and Watson has had tough injury luck. Walker and Watson will improve- Both Brian Williams and Sterling Sharpe had less than stellar rookie years and went on to become excellent players. They put me in mind of these two.
This year's picks might be Gute's best.....and overall he has been about .500--he has made some excellent moves and some terrifying ones. BUT-crashing the team to retain Rodgers will be what he will be remembered for. This truly is the Hadl trade in reverse. Devine left town after that move=Gute should too.
Cannot remember anything quite like this in a single game (all different possessions)
1st & goal - Lions 5 yard line - 0 points
1st & goal - Lions 1 yard line - 0 points
1st & 10 - Lions 23 yard line - 0 points
1st & 10 - Lions 14 yard line - 3 points
1st & 10 - Lions 17 yard line - 0 points

@fightphoe93 posted:Less Negative: Samari Tourre. Other than the freak fumble play, looked good today.
Jaire’s INT was about the only highlight today.
More Negative: The more AJ Dillon has to play, the more ordinary he looks.
I think we are watching the last snaps that David Bahktiari will ever take again.
Christian Watson’s concussion issues have a legitimate chance to end his very short and injury prone career. His pure athletic tools are evident, but once you start getting a string of concussions, it overrides everything else.
Aaron Rodgers is a mental mess and his supporting cast is too weak to overcome it.
This team is physically and emotionally beaten and there’s no bye for a month.
AJ Dillon was drafted way too high. He's more of a 4th or 5th round talent. You can get All-Pro type RBs in the 2nd round.
DeGuara is a 6th or 7th round talent.
Jordan Love was more of a 2nd or 3rd round project.
Amari Rodgers was a 6th round type.
Toure is a 7th round pick for a reason.
The Bakh ACL injury two years ago was probably the event that ended the Packers Super Bowl chances, we just didn't know it at the time.
Rodgers was terrible today, but other than the one throw to Toure where he could have put another 2-3 yards on it, there is almost no separation from his WRs or TEs. He was out there for large parts of the game with Toure, Watkins, and Amari Rodgers as his WRs. Those guys wouldn't get snaps for a lot of SEC teams.
Sammy Watkins appears to be a mental midget. I think he probably ran the wrong route on three key plays today (you don't run your route at the safety when the entire side of the end zone is clear - it's clear because they probably schemed it for that purpose).
Joe Barry is one of those guys that you are just good enough to lose with.
MLF looks like a deer in the headlights right now. The Bakh trick play was a horrible time to call that. It was a one receiver route (they flooded the entire right side of the field and the play was to lob it back left. Rodgers had to lob it because he was throwing to a LT. Bakh reported as eligible (which was the last thing before the snap the defense heard) so Hutchinson probably had that on his mind (plus the fact that - has Bakh ever reported as tackle eligible before?). You run that play on some other down than 4th.
I don't know when you have Rodgers sit at this point. He's your best asset out of this mess in the offseason, but if Jordan Love has any chance it would be behind this OL throwing to a bunch of crappy WRs and handing off to Dillon. Whatever confidence he might have would be gone very quickly.

There have no one on offense that can win a red zone matchup. He goes to Lazard because at least he can make a contested catch, but especially once Jones was out, they didn't have an above average NFL-level starter at any skill position.
Of course, they could have just kicked FGs each time -which is the smart coaching move with a struggling offense against an almost as shitty offense. Even if you assume the two non-4th down picks still happen, they win today if they do that (and kick the XP instead of chasing points that early).
NO, #12 is a complete mess……if it his thumb, great, SIT HIM. IF IT’S HIS MENTAL HEALTH,GREAT, SIT HIM. JUST GET HIM OUT OF THERE, PLEASE.

He may very well say something like that, but 2011-level Rodgers isn't fixing this mess. MVP-level Rodgers might make this an 8 win team, but the offensive talent is just not there.
The personnel decisions prior to Jones getting hurt were also idiotic. It's bad enough that you don't give him more shots down there, but he wasn't even on the field for many of those goal line plays.
Dillon needs space to get going, and that's hard to come by with this OL, but Jones can create his own lanes. At least put him on the field and use him as a decoy.

Every week MLF says we are going to RTFB. and every week we pass pass pass. Today 21 runs by RB and 43 pass plays. Add in the 4 runs by Rodgers and it would have been 47 pass plays. I really find it hard to believe MLF game plans 2-1 passes to runs. Rodgers is not running the game plan and needs to be benched. I don't care how bad Love may look, if you don't hold Rodgers accountable you will really lose control of the team.

He fuckin' stuck it to Gute and Murphy by holding them up for a huge contact and then basically not giving a shit about his job. He should have been at the OTAs working with his new receivers and not half-assing it after being handed $50 million. At this point, rest of season is meaningless and I'd show him up by sitting his ass and playing Love.

Same thing happened four years ago.
Next week Rodgers is going to get his ass handed to him by the last coach that he decided he was too smart to listen to.
team is broken. time to turn the page. they have assets. need to maximize those assets for next year

i’m done with this team until they install new leadership. lafleur is a wimp. rodgers is a narcissist. murphy is clueless. gutey sucks at drafting.
Unless Rodgers is hurt or simply doesn't want to play, there is zero reason to let Love take a single snap. We do not want him lowering his trade value by putting tape out for other teams to see.
The geniuasses that started this kamikaze dive since the Love draft pick should be forced eat their own shit while this unravels.
love has no trade value
What is this trade value of which you speak?
Let me answer that….there is very little.

I said that right away, and every year since, and was said to be too negative about the direction of the team. Funny how everything comes full circle when you realize that the Love draft pick and the later FA/drafts these idiots did the last few years have now completely torpedoed the franchise.
The difference about the end of the Rodgers era compared with the Favre era is we don't have another multi-decade franchise future first ballot HOF'er waiting in the wings. We have a completely inept front office that has years of quarterback carrying to allow them to be smug enough to think that the way they do things is better. They can fuck off.
Even a broken clock is right twice a day.
Hard to believe but the Green Bay Packers now own the longest current losing streak in the NFL this season, 5 games. I never never thought I would be posting this.

The Packers are middle of the road in Pass/Run ratio leaguewide at 15th, which is actually pretty decent for a team with a losing record.

This team is going nowhere until WMM is gone.
And he’s replaced by someone who knows what they’re doing.
Context is different but this team looks like it did right before MM was canned.

But they are 27th in yards per completion. They need to run the ball more.

They banked on getting a full season of a healthy Randall Cobb and that Sammy Watkins in a Green Bay uniform would somehow become a starting caliber WR. Cobb hasn't really been healthy for about 7 years and Watkins can't even seem to run the correct pattern most of the time.
The young WRs they drafted weren't going to really be ready for 2-3 years, and the ineptitude of the FO thinking that Cobb and Watkins were the answer to get them by this year is mind boggling. Couple that with a TE group that includes an overachieving marginal athlete coming off an ACL tear, another guy older than Rodgers, and an overdrafted 3rd round TE, and you have a recipe for disaster.
You are right, the biggest difference in the end of the Favre era vs. the Rodgers era is the caliber of offensive talent the new QB (maybe Love) will have to work with.
Look at who TT drafted in the 3 drafts before Rodgers took over in 2009: Jennings (2nd round), Jordy Nelson (2nd), James Jones (3rd), Josh Sitton (4th), Jermichael Finley (3rd). That's 4 future Pro Bowl-level guys and a good #3 WR (Jones).
Other than E. Jenkins, there is nothing obvious to help out the next QB -unless Watson or Doubs hit it big.
@ammo posted:But they are 27th in yards per completion. They need to run the ball more.
It's tied to the fact that they don't have a deep threat. So they either run into 8 man boxes or they throw. The offense is designed to throw in those situations, but their WRs and TEs would have trouble beating press coverage in the SEC. When they tried running the ball on the goal line, they lost yardage because they are playing some guys that need some weight room work on the OL.
They were able to run the ball against the Bills because they played nickel most of the game once they got a big lead.
The RBs had 20 carries for 59 yards today. And when they threw, they did get big plays. They just go to guys that don't have the extra gear to get to the end zone and they struggle in the red zone because they lack individual talent on offense (outside of Jones and Rodgers).

Not sure why talent and Rodgers are being used in the same sentence. There may have been talent prior to this year but since the playoff loss and this season, the talent is lacking.
