The problem with 'letter of the law' is they should be calling holding almost every single play.
What an atrocious penalty call that was. It was essentially a turnover.
If they called holding every time it happened, an average game would be about 4 1/2 hours long.
Took almost all day, but Atlanta's D finally made a play.
Bam. Critical turnover.
Haha, GFY Crabs
Physical play forces a turnover.
Great play by what has been a horrendous secondary
Nice Turnover! Now long will it be until Matty gives it back again?
In battle of the douchebags, Dunta won.
But the problem is the defender didn't have to follow through like that. Jump straight up, don't try to hit the QB. I don't blame "Goodell's NFL" as much as the defenders getting busted for crap they have been getting away with for a long time. The extra step and hitting the QB late after the throw, smacks to the head- while I don't think that the hit to CK was dangerous, it wasn't necessary and the defender shouldn't have done it.
My husband is pissed.....he had 4 - 1 for the 2nd and 4th quarters.....it's now 4 - 1 for the 3rd.....hasn't won a dime during the playoffs. He still has the next game and the super bowl, but he's not doing very good in the gambling department. I just want to see SF lose. Ugh......
Just wish they woulda recovered in endzone for touchback
Wow!
Atlanta has saved themselves 14 points potentially.
Talk about a huge swing!

That's right. BM was on to something in the JS.

Nice!
The ladies will not be as willing tonight Michael, oh wait.
Just like last week, Atlanta doing absolutely nothing on offense in 2nd half.
48 yard punt is not a very good punt?
Tale of 2 halves for Matty
3 & out. Classic Matt Bledsoe
Play action works better when you can actually run the ball first.

Man, I miss those WI pools!
Both the boards and those little folded paper strips.
Nothing like that here in AZ.
So they blew a 20 point lead last week and now a 17 point lead this week
Atlanta's defense vs ours. Is there anyone you'd much rather have then who we have? I can usually pick a player I'd say "yes I'd swap ____ with him". I can't think of any.
21 unanswered... Damn.
And that's all she wrote. The fat lady is singing.
Atlanta had over 300 yards in the 1st half and 24 points. This half they have something like 70 yards, no points and 2 turnovers.
Legacy drive coming up for Matty.
The QBs not doing it, but SF running just as effectively this week. Those turnovers from Matty will likely be the difference in the game.
there it is Joe adding to the already impressive resume of CK, "down 17-0 now they have the lead."
Again, blown assignment in defending the pistol. Give NFL defensive staffs an offseason to study it and we'll see how long it lasts.

Sean Weatherspoon would have a spot, but other than that...
"good san fran secondary" as uttered by Joe. really? they've given up a crap ton of yards through the air these past 2 weeks.
OMG a better throw and that's 7. He had him wide open.
CATCH!
With the Justin and Aldon Smith's injuries...the pass rush has suffered, which makes the secondary look worse. Look how much better our secondary looked this season with some pass rush to go with it.
Of course, Casey Hayward and a much improved Sam Shields have something to do with it as well.

Joe Buck cheering for a challenge. What a douche.
Question is why wasn't it defensive holding? The guy tripping was due to the SF guy grabbing him.

Huge blown opportunity there by ATL
Question: on the Ryan scramble, Willis delivers a blow to the head with his arm. This is okay because the QB is now running, but if it had been helment to helment then it is a penalty?

Looks like hand was under it.
Catch looked good to me.
