Atlanta is playing at home and Ryan is playing well, but they are a bit of a paper tiger. They got to play the NFC West this year and played in a weak division.

The pundits are saying they are on a hot streak, but before beating Seattle, the 5-1 ending to the regular season was based on wins against Arizona, LA Rams, San Francisco, Carolina, and the Saints. There loss was to the Chiefs. They did their equivalent of "running the table" against 2 of the worst teams in football and 3 under .500 teams playing out the string.

They beat the Packers by 1 at home when the Packers RBs who got carries were Ripkowski, Knile Davis, and Don Jackson. The Packers inactives were Cobb, Montgomery, Clay Matthews, Jared Cook, Randall, Rollins, and Starks.  If the Packers played them even then, what should we expect this time.

Ironically, in the end we were much better off losing to them in October. If we'd beat them, this game would have likely been in Lambeau Field. The Packers are a much better good weather team right now.

And that excludes DirecTV viewers in my area, who got made victims of a contract dispute between Fox and DirecTV and did not get to see the game. I kid you not.

Needless to say there exists a slight Public Relations problem to clean up around here.  They sprung it on everyone 2 days before the game, leaving their subscribers to buy out every last digital antenna in the County.

Not sure anything they can do will mollify me after the pay-per-view also wouldn't work, the customer service guy hung up on me, and I had to sprint to my neighbor's house who has cable, missing the first 10 minutes.

I'm thinking I dismantle all their crap, get it off my roof and leave it out by the road.  I'll tell them where it is and some other um, things.

down here in SD....the cable company had issues with the CBS affiliate back in December and the Charger game was in question, but they settled it before the game....but I had heard this is going on all over the country:  the providers wait until a big game or something is going to happen and hold the customers hostage so they contact the local affiliate and complain....

If I'm that guy I just run with the joke and LI and add LII, then LIII, etc. and so forth.  But we all know he isn't that funny.

Ain't enough room for more than LII.
Dude has one more year of hope.

He could always put a C in front of it.

I just wanted to say that everything is awesome except Skip Bayless. He's a ****ing, piece of **** pussy that I'd love to meet in a dark alley. I'd beat his ****ing pussy ass all the way back to whatever slime **** hole he's crawled out of.

It's like he made a pact with the devil or something.  He wouldn't laud Rodgers if he parted the Red Sea.

It's so absurd.

Seriously, why do people continue to watch this idiot? He's never really personally accomplished anything in his life and lies or grossly exaggerates his accomplishments. He's getting 5 million a year to offer unsubstantiated opinions based on incorrect "facts", to never admit he's wrong, and basically shout down people he doesn't agree with. I can't think of anyone else currently in the news that acts like that and gets rewarded.....

Richard Sherman's takedown of Bayless a few years ago was spot on:

Was Aaron Rodgers’ 3rd-and-20 pass overrated? NOW on

Is this a threat or a love poem to Skip?

"He's a piece of (sh*t/d*mn/f*ck/h*ll) pussy I'd love to meat in a dark alley." Is this an innuendo?

"I'd beat his f*cking pussy, ass all the way..." Come on, this has to be sexual.

The sad part about Bayless is that he started out as a good reporter and is probably a really smart guy. Smart enough to have figured out the best way to make a lot of money is to repeat idiotic opinions over and over and generate "outrage"

Guys like Jim Rome, Bayless, and Cowherd make big bucks because they get people incensed enough to call in and argue or they belittle other people which draws a lot of viewers.  Howard Cosell figured this out pretty early on.

I prefer guys like Jaworski who actually add some insight into what's going on. I'd like to see guys like Ben Fennel do a show.

Unfortunately there are plenty of people like this sprinkled throughout the media covering every possible topic. Why anyone would choose to listen to people bloviate and spew worthless opinions out of their a$$es all day about anything is beyond me. Making people rich for simply being controversial jagoffs and making no discernible contributions to society just isn't my thing I guess.

"Most people see what they expect to see, what they want to see, what they've been told to see, what conventional wisdom tells them to see - not what is right in front of them in its pristine condition."   Bugliosi

Anyhow, it's not a love story so much as a hate story.

I thought pussy would have been ******** out too. But apparently it has more than one meaning.

You misspelled meet.

but that's all I wanted to say!  Everything else is awesome even the Brown Steeler story

I would finish the "L" by connecting it to the "I", thus making a capital "U".  The I would add a capital "N" to the right of the "U". That would be appropriate IMO.

Anyone good with photoshop or some other application?

Did anyone else notice the big, emotional hug Rodgers had on the sideline right after the game winning FG?  Was that MM or VanPelt he hugged?  I Just wondered if it was MM, and if they were sharing a moment of "hey, we showed all those doubting bastages!"

After all those rumors of a rift between the two, was this a show of unamininity?
