Lol @ mnpacker. Waits 7 years to post & his 1st is off the charts good
Welcome, MNPacker! You're getting off on the right foot by getting after the troll known as Jaymo...
TT and MM like bigger backs, so Ball, Bell and Michael are likely the best bets if they take a back in the second or third.
Are Brandon Jackson, Alex green & Brandon Saine (gone now) even Dujuan Harris bigger backs?

Looking forward to 2020!
Green came in at 6'0 220#, Saine 5'11" 220#, Jackson 5'10" 219#, Ryan Grant #225, etc. all thicker built guys than Bernard. I like Bernard but he doesn't seem to be TT's/MM's "type". He's even admitted they like bigger backs.
Doesn't everybody like big backs?
I usually like to just read the posts from the knowledgeable football fans but after seeing Jaymo post here I realize you don't have to be very knowledgeable at all to post here so maybe I'll post here more than every 7 years. lol
Giovanni will be there @ 55, but I think Thompson goes line again, O or D. No matter.
In no particular order I can see one of these at 55.
DT, Jenkins - Georgia
OT, Armstead - Ark Pine-Bluff
OT, Watson - FL St.
DE, Hunt - SMU

LOL at the guy who goes searching the internets for the guy named "Jaymo". The Vikings "gave up 4 picks"
Did they actually give away "4 more picks"? They just "gave away 4 more picks" and didn't get anything in return.
LOL....packler fans

You're not that important.
A lot of us read Rubechat on a semi-regular basis anyway. I got in the habit years ago, when Nickolodeon took the Three Stooges re-runs off the air. I mean, I had to do something.
as opposed to the Viking fan that comes to a Packer board to "talk football" but spends the time acting like an entitled spoiled brat. You act like your team has actually accomplished something in their history. You show absolultely no respect to a team that has owned your team for years and has a trophy case full of championship trophies. You do not handle envy very well.
So here a question Jaymo. Would you trade or suppot a trade or Adrian Peterson for Aaron Rodgers heads up?

Keep it up, Boris. You're dangerously close to falling out of top 1000 favorite website owners.

Just because you have extra picks doesn't mean it's ok to get fleeced for them.
The vikings traded their second biggest play-maker for one of the R1 picks. Harvin was a head case, and I like the CB, but never the less that's significant production that needs to be replaced. Will they replace his production adequately ?
Vikings also gave up 4 picks for one player that also has maturity and intelligence questions. They paid a bounty .... pressure is on to produce...and on Speilman to fill significant voids with fewer/later picks.
I actually like the vikings first two picks. Cuorderouy seems like a nice player too, but could have been had much cheaper. If the Pats go on a tear like the 90's Cowboys we always have the vikes to thank
BTW, what is with the 7th grade "packler" word ? At least contribute something a bit more clever.
I believe that's his best.
Don't flatter yourself you little twit!! This site is in my favorites for years even though I have not been here for a while I just wanted to here what they were saying about the draft.
I sure as hell wouldn't search to read your mindless drivel!!!

The Vikings actually played better as a team after Harvin got hurt/was sent home. Great player, but sometimes they aren't always the best team mates. Basically replaced Harvin with Jennings and Patterson. We'll see how it plays out.
And me, personally, I'd rather have 3 1st instead of a 1st, 2nd, and a 3rd. They did get a pick back you realize, so they didn't lose "4 picks".
Those three players are also now under contract for 5 years.
Pretty obvious you guys are insanely jealous of the Vikings first round mastery. Let the butthurt flow.....especially you, mnpackler.
I'd rather have a 1st, a 2nd, and a 3rd with a GM who understands how to evaluate talent than a GM like Spielman with three 1st rounders. Without Brett Favre has Spielman had any success? Because Ted Thompson has...a SB in fact.
I'm wearing Driver jersey (80) tonight
In the next couple of days, I can see the Pack taking Johnathan Franklin or LeVeon Bell, Steadman Bailey, JJ Wilcox, Brian Scwenke or Dave Quessenberry.

To begin with we were talking about the trade up, not about the 2 1's you already had. Ok so you lost a 2nd,3rd,4th and a 7th to get a late 1st round pick when you have so many holes and no depth. To me thats a lot to give up for a pick that is no where close to a sure thing of being any better than what you could have gotten with your 2nd round pick. Just to make this clear if Ted had done something like this I wouldn't have liked it either.
Those three players are also now under contract for 5 years.
I didn't know you had signed them already

Jaymo I don't know about everyone else here, but you got that right. I have been extremely jealous of the vikings and their first round mastery since what 1960 and I know thats why they have been so successful since they came into the league. I just wish some how some way the Packers could come close to that.
Once they lace 'em up, it does not matter which round they were picked.

I think Spielmans draft history is pretty damn good once he was given full control. And saying you'd prefer a 1, 2, and 3 to a 1, 1, and 1 is preposterous.

Not the miracle you make it seem, and definitely of questionable value.
The vikes started the day with 2 R1 picks(Their own and Seattles: thank the gods for Creepy Pete). Still lost their second best play-maker in the process.
It's the third R1 that is in question. Most pundits think Belichick fleeced the vikes. BTW a very deep 2nd and 3rd round are upcoming. vikes still have needs and will be spectators tonight.
Most have said how much they liked the players the vikes picked. Not good enough? You want to hear what a genius Speilman is ??

It's not preposterous when you consider that most rosters are made up of guys not drafted in the first round. When you look at the GB roster, you'll see how much value we have gotten from free agents and below round 1 picks. By the numbers.

Wanna try that last part again? In English? The fact of the matter is the Vikings wanted CP and didn't think he'd be there when they picked in the second, so they went and got him. Not gonna fault Spielman for that.
They have all of their picks next year plus an extra 3rd. They weren't going to fill every hole in one draft. You know that. They got three guys (so far) that they think will come in and make an immediate impact. That's pretty good for any draft.

So it was a pretty big mistake by Thompson to move up for Matthews....right? Completely goes against the "packer way".

I didn't realize they were awarding SBs for great drafting. Seems to me all its gotten him is a sub-.500 record! I'd rather have Ted Thompson and a 1st, 2nd and 3rd than Rick Spielman and 3 1sts every day.
Second round wish list:
Barrett Jones C
Jonathan Cyprien S
Zach Ertz TE
Johnathan Jenkins DT/NT
Terron Armstead T
Barrett Jones C
Jonathan Cyprien S
Zach Ertz TE
Johnathan Jenkins DT/NT
Terron Armstead T
goodness people, jaymo is an idiot, stop arguing with him like he isn't one
ESPN Radio... Aarons tip to TT for the 55th pick... "QB from Vandy is available".
I would love to be known as "an enforcer in the box".
I would thoroughly enjoy seeing Barrett Jones available when the Packers are on the clock. Zach Ertz would also be grand.
Niners move down 6 spots and get a next years 3rd round pick from the Titans
Every time I see a team trade a pick from next year, I'm glad that I don't have to worry about TT doing that.
Stop being do dense.
