The Queens sure have traded away a lot picks the last two years. With the rate that NFL teams turns over players I wonder if they are getting a bit thin depth wise.

Correct me if I am wrong is not one of the raps on Bridgewater is his hand size? I am just asking become I seam to remember the Vikings had the same issue with a QB with small hands in the past.

Guys likely to be available at 53 include DT Rashede Hageman, WR Cody Latimer, TE Austin Seferian-Jemkins and Troy Niklas, LB Kyle Van Noy.

Timmy Jernigan appears to have smoked his way out of the first round, and could slide to the mid second round too.

I'm hoping Stephon Tuitt falls to 53, but that is likely a pipe dream.

Who is your pick?

I love that the Vikes picked Bridgewater, he's going to be an awful pro QB. Small hands and a narrow frame in a division featuring Clay Matthews, Julius Peppers, Jared Allen, and Nndamukong Suh among others. He's not going to last long. At least Senneca Wilson has big hands and a solid frame to make up for his lack of height, Bridgewater is a smart, pocket passed QB in a WR body. More of the same, but hey at least the Vikings got to pick 32nd! That's the first and last time that will happen!

If it weren't for the fact that he went to Cleveland, I could see Manziel on a career path similar to Aa Rod's. The motivation from dropping well below his predicted draft position would seem to mesh with his talent and confidence. However, coaching is a dire need and historically, there doesn't seem to be a ready supply from the factory of sadness.

When McGinn is sharing information he's told by his network of contacts then I pay attention because that is not his opinion, but guys like McGinn and Bedard aren't experts on football.

That,I agree with.

I think Tuitt is gonzo by #51...Hageman might be available. Not sure Crichton is what we are looking for in a 3-4 base end...Hageman projects as a 4-3 DT...but I also think he can be a Cullen Jenkins type 3-4 base end.

Jace Amaro also an option here.

Helmet Hair has us taking Borland...scares the hell out of me because of his shoulder history.

This is where things get muddy because who knows what TT will do.  Dix seemed like the obvious pick, as he was BPA on many draft boards and was easily the Packers biggest need.  They can live with Hawk and B Jones in ILB and Quarless/Bostick at TE, but they did not have anyone on the roster that has started at safety in a football game in years.

I'd like to see front 7, either DL or linebacker, but I'd be happy with a TE or WR.

Hoping there's a run on RB's and a few more QB's in the first 20 picks of the 2nd round. And my preferance for our 2nd round pick is Jordan Matthews. Just got a hunch that guy is gonna be really good. Would even like to see TT move up a tad to get him. However, in TT I trust to make the best pick from whomever is available when we are on the clock.

Overall pleased with Dix, not overjoyed cuz I wanted Shazier who went before our pick, but of who was available at 21 it was a nice consolation prize.

So maybe TT trades up today to take Jace Amaro.

It would take our 3rd round pick to move in to the early picks today.  As much as I like Amaro I do not make a trade.  Now if some one is there named Jace and we can get there with out 4th rd pick.....

Ted didn't want Lions grabbing an LB or a Safety so he called about a trade and told them he wanted Ebron. They hung up the phone and drafted Ebron...

mission accomplished

I have bigger hands than Teddy. The Vikings probably read about the Browns' analysis on Teddy.
