When I lived in Ghana one of our neighbors, a hon...er white American lady had a monkey in a cage. It got out one day and bit one of my cousins. That is the worst bite I have ever seen. Took a chunk right out of her arm. EWWW!

In jr high, our daughter wanted a monkey for a pet.  Our vet said ‘absolutely not.  They can be vicious.’

Yeah, it was pretty nasty. Except for bonobos and orangutans, primates are pretty nasty creatures. Especially humans.

I don't care how cuddly any animal looks...in the right situation, they can cause some damage.

Chimps are a lot more like humans than people realize...from jealousy, to envy...Jane Goodall even observed packs of chimps actually planned out and executed war-like attacks on other groups. She didn't publicize this for fear it would undermine her research...but it's a fact. She witnessed a group of chimps raid another group and kill the males.

The comment about them ripping your nutsack off like a paper towel was based in reality...you get these adolescent chimps with testosterone coursing through their veins, in a fight first thing they go for is the dangle-bag.

Most states make it illegal to own primates, and that's a good thing. It's a lifelong commitment...capuchins can live up to 30 years...and if they are males, wait till puberty hits...then they become a real party.
