I don't know if this has been posted before, but I think he is funny and he hardly ever has a bad thing to say about GB - although in a back-handed way this time.  It is about every team's worst fears this season.  The Packer segment starts at 8:10. Might want a link - sorry.

Well, my apologies for getting excited during last year’s second half and playoff run and starting this thread back in January.

The 2024 team will score points and probably win more games than they lose but this looks to be the same ol’ Packers we’ve come to know.

They are lacking in the trenches and will not stand up to the more physical teams come playoff time if they get there.

Oh, and the D looks like every D since 2010. Subpar.

Enjoy the season and as for this thread I was dead wrong you can shut er down.

Its too early to make predictions on the entire season but it sure looks like this team isn't even close to being Superbowl ready. I hope they prove me wrong but no one is fearing this team.

So every packer opponent is just putting a "W" on the schedule....like they're the Broncos??

This degenerate gambler thinks other degenerate gamblers should get on the Packers vs the Vikings now. I'm not a degenerate gambler and this is not gambling advice for any degenerate gamblers that may be reading this*, I thought it was interesting and am merely passing it as a curiosity.

*If any degenerate gamblers out there decide to bet the farm and win this was absolutely gambling advice and a modest donation to me might be looked upon favorably by whatever gods or demons are involved in the outcomes of sports wagers

Not sure why this nonsense is even being discussed in the Twitterverse...this would be the most un-Gutey move ever...

The most un-Gutey move ever is exactly why he should do it!! He'd fit very well in Hafleys defense

More pass rush is NOT a bad thing and Crosby wants out of LV, especially now that his friend Davante is gone.

No salary cap for it, and two first round draft picks it would cost. Cap could be managed if they traded some salary away, but the picks...not happening.

Not sure if the Raiders would actually get that (Crosby is also 29), but the other piece is where the 2025 NFL draft is.

Gute wants all those picks plus whatever else he can accumulate. Murphy also wants that draft weekend to be a huge success and for Packer fans to have a lot to cheer for that weekend.

Can't see that trade happening either.

They're never getting (2) 1st rounders for a 29 year old pass rusher not named Reggie White.

Gutey definitely not giving up picks especially with 2025 draft being in Mecca as @packerboi pointed out.

Or the Raiders can get nothing for him & they have a disgruntled player, pushing coaches on their hands. Let the dysfunction continue!! 🤭🍿

Speaking of dysfunction:

@CharlesRobinson:  An aside in the Davante Adams deal, when #Raiders owner Mark Davis reached out to players to decide the fate of the team last season — leading to firing the HC & GM — the 3 guys he leaned on for counsel were Maxx Crosby, Davante Adams & Josh Jacobs. Nobody is ever safe in Vegas.

OMG!! And now 2 of the 3 are gone.

What I posted last week: If Crosby is traded and not playing for Green Bay, they aren't serious about this season.

Don't agree with that 100% but the window is open. This is a very good Packer team and they shouldn't waste it. They can still be serious but not trade for Crosby.

It would all depend on the comp the Raiders want. (2) 1st rounders?? Eff that

And those 2 first rounders will do what? That's why I used the LVN and Morgan reference. You got  the QB for 4 years. The RB, The TE, several receivers on a cheap deal, an explosive LB and an excellent DB group. You lack a pass rush. Can't give the Sam Darnolds of the world all day to throw. What are those future guys going to do? Rotate in and out? Make no impact? The time is now. Before you have to pay Reed and another pass catcher or Kraft, or have to re-sign Love again or replace Jacobs. Go all in for freakin once in their lives.  I know they don't have the cap space but the future is now. We all know how hard it is to even get to the Owl. That's the goal. This defense without a pass rush won't get there. I'm going to be 66 years old. Seen lots of football. Seen a lot of first rounders do squat. Unless your picking in the top 5,  Trade the picks. If you don't someone else will and it may be the Bares, Loins or Vicklings doing it.

F the queens!

Those are all real good football players that many teams would want if they were available.

Oh, I forgot one....Jordan Love. He might be a hot commodity if he was available.

You don't mortgage the franchise by using multiple 1st round picks unless it's a young QB or Young franchise LT. Then maybe.

We can go back and forth. The draft is a crap shoot. If the team is decent, you pick late in the round anyway. All this team needs is a pass rush to be right at the top. That's the goal. No team fears this defensive line. Kenny Clark fell on a fumble. Gary has gotten close a few times. Wyatt a couple of plays. Brooks made a couple. If you want to make the playoffs every year and HOPE to catch lightning in a bottle by all means keep your LVN's and Morgans. How many sacks do the Packers have through 6 games? Outside of the 8 against the Titans how many? According to NFL.com FREAKIN 0!!! Every week in the game thread it's "No pass rush" "QB has all day"  "Lovely defense"  Crosby is a difference maker just like McKinney. If you can get a difference maker in an area of need with Owl aspirations you do it.
