I think this is a good point. Even if a guy makes too many mistakes, you'd expect a few "Wow" plays from a highly drafted QB. I remember maybe one really nice throw down the seam in a preseason game last year, but not much else that really popped.
He simply hasn’t made enough plays. I don’t expect perfection from a young QB, but I want to see some plays and and I want to see him start to minimize his mistakes. We will see what the rest of the preseason brings. I will form my opinion after this preseason.

Highly drafted? A lot of guys drafted in the top 10 don't work out.
If Rodgers retires after this year then it's likely they pick up that 5th year and draft another QB in 2023 much like they did with Brian Brohm in 2008.

While this is true, expectations are simply higher for first round pics and it would be nice to see some flashes from #10.

No, I meant Brohm. He was the 2nd round pick and the Packers were hedging their bets on Rodgers by taking him. Yeah, he sucked and 7th round Flynn ended up a real good backup but I would expect a similar strategy next year if Rodgers retires.
You move forward with Love and hedge your bet with another draft pick. Maybe this time the QB you have sucks and the one you take in the 2nd round becomes your 3rd consecutive HOF QB.
