Hell yeah, Mason!
Mason can punt.
Oh... Just did it because he wanted to give it a shot.
THAT'S how we keep 3 QBs... Mason Crosby plays K/P
Is Opie's punting career in GB officially over?

Or Molson is the Place Kicker.
McDuffie bringing it!
Crosby in at RT!
McDuffie over Summers all day.

Punishment for missed field goal? Put him back on the field to end on an up?
Keep Patrick Taylor somehow.
Isaiah McDuffie, who played four Section VI/state playoff games at the Ralph/New Era/Highmark, has nine tackles and 1/2 sack today. #Packers

Nice game from the rookie.
I dunno I get the injury but part of the preseason is the rehearsal I think about 3 games will be knocking rust off against real teams- there is an argument for using preseason to get revved up. Watched every team play the starters at least one series EXCEPT us - once again could be this smartest guy in the room shit backfires

If Crosby can punt, maybe he can hold instead of Scott?

I'd rather they be a little rusty over being injured. Really it's more bottom of the roster stuff.
Crosby MVP!!!
I think Taylor and Williams are the same player, but Williams is at his ceiling.
Surely Taylor's is higher.
I wish there was a way to listen to the rebroadcast from local announcers. It was a waste of time to watch this game and learn anything. Yet the coaching staff knows so there is that I suppose.
I think Taylor and Williams are the same player,
So they can take up one roster spot together and leave room for that third QB.

Speaking of the QB positionβ¦.So far I have seen nothing that says β WOWβ we have our guy. I know it is a small sample but I was hoping for a glimmer of the greatness we moved up to get.
LaFleur on the radio post-game interview, "Crosby punted because JK Scott had cramps. Nothing serious."
Now on to the 20 game winning streak. Packer slogan this year "Packer points > opponents". Do it 20 times - what could go wrong?
I think 84+86 make the team. Esb is gone,no 3rd qb, not sure about punter maybe we double up with Crosby

I remember Aaron Rodgers first year attempts at playing QB in GB. Not a good thing. If you could have compared Love with Rodgers after their first Packer showing you would have taken Love. But AR had 3 years to get his game together, and has grown into the role once he was the starter. If Love is going to work out well in GB, I expect some of the same. Meanwhile I like his initial start.
57,58,75 flashed that dude from the Jackson trade is gone -thought Myers had a hard day OL did well though - van Lanen looked ok
Yeah, I'm not going to worry about Love until next year minimum.
Think Taylor locked up the #6 receiver and they'll go with Heflin instead of Lancaster. Like what I saw from Love in spite of the poor decision to force the ball, to Taylor.
Fast forward me 2 weeks, when our offense puts 40+ on the Saints defense.
I thought overall our back ups played much better today than in the previous 2 games.

Would not be shocked at all to see Lancaster on the 53 and Heflin on the PS. Iβd prefer Heflin on the 53 though.
Zero chance there is any consideration of Crosby being the punter. They were just fucking around⦠not buying the cramps BS either.

anything to do with covid testing ?
One of them is your vaccination status. The other is probably for a negative test.

@MichiganPacker2 posted:There are a lot of those types of guys over the years: Jay Cutler, Kirk Cousins, Aaron Brooks, Jameis Winston, post-Holmgren Favre (statistically worse than Culter), Garoppolo. They are more physically talented enough to succeed and their stats usually look good, but they make poor decisions under pressure.
The problem is that it's tough to evaluate that unless it's when it really means something. It's like the guy who is an 80% FT shooter and then tightens up in the clutch. Can a guy like Love learn to succeed under those circumstances or do you either have "it" or not?
The Cutler comparison strictly on the field was valid today. Cutler did a lot of throwing off his back foot for INTs. On both plays where Love threw the INT and almost threw another, he was way off balance and couldn't get enough arm strength on either throw, and frankly neither throw should have been attempted.
One thing that I believe Cutler had that I don't think Love has, was a sense of arrogance and entitlement. Denver saw he had the physical tools, but he wouldn't listen to or respect his coaches and they shipped him off for some draft picks. Cutler had 1 pretty good year with the Bears in 2010 being a good complement to a great defense, but other than that he was a bust there.
I don't get the feeling Love has that sense of entitlement, I believe he will take coaching and try to get better. I'd say watching him this pre-season, I was slightly disappointed with him, but not hopelessly disappointed. It sucks for him that we compare him to Favre in his prime and Rodgers today. Both of those guys are regarded as being among the 10-15 greatest QBs to ever play in the NFL. He can still become very good and not be at the level of those guys.
Everyone is starving for real football so when all you get is this PS stuff, of course we're all going to pick this shit apart with tweasers.
