FTFY!
What is soccer? Sounds familiar. Is it related to Covid?
You came up with that picture suspiciously fast.."doctor".
Or if the defense is offside/has 12 men on the field, but as we saw in the 2014 NFCCG, sometimes the referees miss that.

MLF to Gutey privately
"We are 50 million over the cap right now for 2022 and we all know we can't afford to keep Rodgers and surround him with any veteran talent. J. Love needs at least a couple of dozen NFL starts before we know whether he's going to learn not to make poor decisions like that. So, I'm going to have to coach a team where we jettison a half dozen good starters (even with trading Rodgers) using a raw QB who is prone to making a lot of mistakes? I want a 5-year contract extension right now."

Wait, I thought if it's 4th down and the game is on the line (down 8 or so) you kick a FG?
No dummy, you play it safe according to the super stat-o-later when the Super Bowl is on the line.
Finally got to watch the 1st half today. I think I've seen what I need to see WRT Love being the backup. He's not getting this job by default. He has earned it. He moved the ball very well all 3 drives, 2 of them with the Bills #1 defense on the field while surrounded by 2nd-4th string guys on his side of the ball. He even erased some negative plays by his teammates. The only negative (obviously) was that chump pass he heaved up for an INT to Hyde. You just can't do that. Teachable moment, I guess. Would have been nice to see them come away with at least 13 points on those drives. The 4th down pass was right where he should have been throwing it, just led the receiver about 2-3" too much.
Really like Kylin Hill, too. We are really stacked at RB. Won't miss Jamaal aside from his personality.
I'd be really disappointed if Hefferlin didn't make the final 53. There's no good reason to keep Lancaster over him.
Article Y.A. posted has a scout calling Heflin a "trash can full of dirt".
Doesn't really trip off the tongue as far as nicknames.

I concur on the Iowa UFDA. He's a keeper. Cheaper, too.

You know, as everyone has ragged on Adams and Rodgers for their play in that game, MLF has not been discussed enough for his coaching screwups. Not getting Dillon involved more after Jones went down is a big thing, and not giving Aaron one last shot at the end zone instead of giving the ball back to Brady and letting King do his magic were the biggest issues I had. Playcalling after the INTs that resulted in ZERO first downs is embarrassing...

They save a million dollars in cap charges if they move on from Lancaster. Every million they can move to this year in some form of bonus helps for the cap hell they are in next year.
Hopefully not βrub some dirt on itβ

There is not good reason to keep Lancaster period.
This is year 4 of the Tyler Lancaster experiment. He is not going to be any better than he was in 2018, 2019, or 2020. He is not good now, has never been any good, and will not be any good in the future.
If Lancaster and Lowry are #2 and #3 on the DL for the 4th season in a row, the defense will resemble what we've seen the past several years, and that is on Gutey.
Hope and pray Slaton is not the next Montravious Adams and that he and or Heflin or someone (anyone) else can inject some talent into the constant weak link that is our defensive lineman outside of Kenny Clark.
SteveLuke, I agree with you. I have hope that Keke will take a big step up, but still think we need more. Hoping Gutekunst will move to add a starting quality DL -- either via FA (Jurrel Casey, Geno Atkins, other?), waivers or trade.

Every time I see him mentioned, I think of Van Heflin.
Folks complaining about the bad Bills announcers need to remember that in many NFL cities (unlike Green Bay) the broadcasters need to sell tickets. Thatβs why the relentless hype flows. Early on they even mentioned single game tickets are still available. Thatβs what preseason is for in many cities

I actually thought Tasker was pretty good as a color guy.
Cole Beasley is missing teeth. So why is he afraid of the vaccine?

I loved our announcers, Kevin Harlen and James Loftenβ¦β¦they were great.

Thought they did a pretty good job.
Of course they're homers, but they tried to be fair.
When I watch a game I would like the announcer to mention the play and players once in a while. I donβt care if they are homers so much as just give the play by play once in a while. In the Bills game they spent a whole quarter interviewing their GM.
Yup coverage sucked in the 4th Q.
And the idiocy of them thinking the bills are a 15 win team.

They spent the first 2 quarters giving Josh Allen verbal fellatio.

without mentioning once that the Packers had 4 Pro Bowl-level defensive players in street clothes on the sidelines (Alexander, Z. Smith, Clark, and Savage)
They basically ignored the game while chatting with the GM.
Unwatchable.
I was unimpressed with virtually all the preseason, none of the homer announcers even announce who made the play for the opposing team...was silent when a play would be made - was really bad with the 49'ers guys, geez. didn't mention the defensive plays being made hardly ever.
Aren't those games on the NFL Network just local feeds from the home team. Of course the "home" announcers are gonna focus on the home team. They weren't nationally televised games. I listened to the first half with the radio audio synched up with the TV feed. Didn't hear Wayne talk too much about the Bills.
First world problem
I missed out on the away announcers. Local NBC station carried the Packer broadcast.

That's a pet peeve for me--who on the Packers made the tackle. Basics of journalism. Info.
I wonder, after this summer of joint practices, if preseason games will become more about deep depth competition than ever before. Essentially, teams will have joint practices to get a longer, situational view of starters and preseason will be for the unproven almost exclusively.
