Well it comes back hard for MOST PEOPLE! 
I think most people were thinking the new KO format was going to play to Nixon's strength, and expectations were high.
Of course, reality turned out to be a different story, and everybody, including Nixon, is disappointed.
However, it's strictly MHO that Nixon has the speed to be a good returner, but he doesn't have the smarts. Returning a kick that's 8 yards deep in the end zone, and losing 10-12-15 yards of field position speaks for itself.
Also MHO that Nixon can play CB, but he'll lose on as many plays as he defends.
Everyone knows we have to beat our division rivals, so right off the top, that means defending Jefferson and St. Brown.
Nixon ain't that good.
Nixon rated 115th of 220 CBs in NFL this season. I like his confidence but he's not a CB1. Jaire was #16 (in 7 games), CB1 if/when healthy. RESET

Nixon is a solid blitzer and tackler, but his coverage skills are lacking.
So, the slot, where he was supposed to play all year, is a great fit.
Except a corner who canât cover is like a receiver who canât catch.

The problem with that is then there is no where to play Bullard.
You play your best 11. If the roster is right and the team is healthy, that doesn't include Nixon.

Why would anyone think that? I mean, it's not like the Bears committed at least 2 very obvious holds on the kick return touchdown. How about the very obvious catch Musgrave made later in the game - they were friggin' showing the review on the scoreboard over and over and yet no zebra looked up and no rescue call from New York...nope MLF had to waste a review. Then the crap in the Eagles game.
Only thing missing was Deion Sanders needed to run on the field to ambush JLove with a steel chair.

The photo is doctored. See foot of third Eagle under that of the second Eagle's arm pit. In 'your' photo it's nowhere to be seen.
Jesus Christ, were debating 2 photos that were probably milli seconds of each other. Nixon's helmet would slide up from the hit and the foot may have been seen from a slightly different angle and just a bit later. It was a blown call in favor of the home team Eagles!!!!!!!!!
There is no other angle. Both from a single TV camera. Any other angle would be radically different. As in society, conformational bias is rampant here. I watched it frame by frame on DVR. This is the first point of contact and it is thus where I grabbed the image.
You have no fucking clue as to where the Boris picture came from. It might be from TV, it might not be. It clearly has a different texture and lighting.

I would have posted video, but I plead ignorance in how to do that. While I probably could figure it out, but I wasn't going to try and learn how to do that during the game (that's when my photo was posted). During the game no one asked for video. In the normal course of the post game I deleted the game (had no desire to watch that again).

1. Excellent replay. I'm not sure how I missed it on my view, but you are correct and I was wrong.
