Johnny Jolly just tweeted this: "Great news from doc today. Neck fusion is healed perfectly (and) have green light to start some strength work."
Don't worry Doc Jennings. I'm sure your tender will be along any minute now.... any minute...
"Packers put the low ($1.431M) restricted tender on LB Jamari Lattimore."
4th year minimum contract is less than 1/2 this number. I'm seeing one of the incumbent ILBs gone with this move.
that seems odd. I like Lat, but he isn't worth 1.5 million
If #Packers didn't tender Lattimore, KC (Dorsey) and Oakland (McKenzie) would have been all over him, source told me.
Dorsey and McKenzie probably know more than Capers on how to best use him. Either that or the "source" is the agent -- again.

That's what the Packers hoped initially, but apparently opinions vary and they were forced to re-evaluate their evaluation.
Will you now do the same you ungrateful biscuit-eater ?

Report: Packers Not Looking to Trade or Cut Aaron Rodgers
According to various sources within the Packers organization, the team is not considering cutting or trading star quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
âNo, that would be stupid,â said Packers general manager Ted Thompson.
âWhy would we do that? Why would you even ask me if we would do that? Itâs a stupid question. I can tell you with 100-percent certainty that we will not trade or cut Aaron Rodgers.â
Of course, NFL teams are known for diversionary tactics during the offseason to keep opponents guessing at their true plans, and Thompson likely wouldnât want rival GMs to know that he may cut Rodgers if a trade canât be worked out.
....
âI mean, itâs definitely something they should seriously consider doing,â said Chicago Bears general manager Phil Emery. âIâm not going to tell them how to run their team, but thereâs a lot to be said for trading a guy at his peak value. Or is he really even at his peak value? Itâs been a few years since he won a Super Bowl now and heâs in his thirties. Itâs probably best that they just cut him.â
Here's the thing I love about Emery. When he sees a problem or deficiency, he attacks it via multiple angles. He doesn't just sign one FA, he drafts the position as well. I think the Trestman/Emery duo are going to have a fantastic run in Chicago.
@AdamSchefter Nick Collins is still available.

DE Lamar Houston to the #Bears. Deal is for $35M over five years. Peepers is gone then I assume.
Maybe the Packers can trade for Shea McClellin. After all, that's who TT wanted a couple years ago, plus this way McClellin won't break Rodgers's shoulder in a game (it would happen on Family Night).
that seems odd. I like Lat, but he isn't worth 1.5 million
Ted loves to overpay at ILB.

Typical TT. Stubborn to a fault. Paying $22 mil a year to a QB who threw for 2500 yards and a mere 17TDs.
you guys got that wrong. When asked about trading Rodgers, Ted would say, "you know we don't discuss player trades"
local radio says Even Dietrich Smith is flying into Tampa tonight.
Peepers will end up in Tampax with
Goalline would hit her.

I'd smash and then go for a Scrooge McDuck style swim in the loot.
Various reports/rumors put the Packers intersted in Oaklandâs Lamarr Houston, Baltimoreâs Arthur Jones and Kansas Cityâs Tyson Jackson. This could be the result of the Raji situation from the standpoint of:
a - their agents creating the interest thinking Raji is out of the picture
b - the Packers have real interest because they've moved on from Raji
Things is though, none of these guys are NT's and reportedly the Packers are wanting to play BJ there more this year if he [re]signs.
Ted don't flinch.
2 out of 3 gone and the third on a plane not going to Wisconsin. Way to go Ted!!!
Teams aren't scooping up the Packers defensive free agents. Shocking. Just shocking.

someone would have scooped up shields.

Er, MD Jennings? Hello!
In fairness tho, that's more like a scraping than a scoop.
Bite your tongue. Emery scrapes for no man!!!
Maybe he can polish Jennings to a high gloss finished safety.

Yeah. Ok. 1 year contract for a 16 game starter puts him right there with Byrd, Whitner and Bethea. I am one with my humiliation.
You should be, but only because some pretty obvious sarcasm just flew right past you like a football over Jennings' head.
Really silly and totally unnecessary use of the quote feature here.
Hmm. There's a heap of irony in that response. Like I've ever had an ounce of humility on this forum. In keeping with the theme your take is as bad as Jennings play on the Riley Cooper TD pass.
Now you come back at me with a Golden Tate reference. Something like I should have just batted the ball away. I'm gonna make a sandwich.
Have the cookies. Freshly iced. The guy who made them has been eating a lot of pineapple.
NOOOO!!!!!
TT just put us in CAP HELL NOW!!!
Packers fought off #Cardinals RT @mneal96: Hi Green Bay!!! I'll enjoy your winters for two more years!!
Guess that takes OLB off the draft needs list.
I'd hope not. Neal's just a guy.
So does the Neal signing count as TT signing a free agent or not? I mean Neal WAS a free agent and could have signed with anybody. This is not like the Shields signing because Shields never hit free agency.
It only counts as a FA signing if GB gave Neal a 5 year deal worth $32 million and $14 guaranteed.
If it's 2 years and $4.7 million then it's simply a smart football transaction.
Time will tell.
I'd hope not. Neal's just a guy.
Neal isn't ever going to be a complete OLB but he did some nice things last year, particularly with pressuring the pocket. I think he's a solid rotational signing.
