I am happy that the emphasis for the OTA's is on passing and pass defense. I expect with 88 as well as our new group of TE's, the offense can be lethal. That's great! But there is also a hopefully refreshed group of DB's who get to practice against that powerful pass offense. Jones has already stood out. I am glad that we have a veteran voice in House to go with that "Battle Tested" group. Yah, they looked rough last year, but they were trying to play a soft zone. However, now with confidence in our safety's as well as a plan to go back to man coverage, I see improvement and I am glued to the news over practice. That's a first for me. I call it hope.

Watching Aaron Jones video. I predict he's going to look like he's played in GBs offense for two years when the first preseason game rolls around. He's a pure prototypical shotgun RB.

The battle between Jones and Williams for snaps behind Ty is going to be intense in camp. Early word out of GB is that both guys aren't short on effort or work ethic.

Are you suggesting there's someone in GB who is short on effort and work ethic?

Too many to name who like China food and video games.

The Packers released back up center Flores and picked up Robert Leff (a College tackle).  Leff is known more as a run blocking type tackle. I see a possible position switch for him. Otherwise its Don Barclay next up as backup center. He is doing it already in OTA's.

The thought of Barclay playing center in Lambeau in December makes me nauseous. Hell. The thought of Barclay on the sideline in December with a possibility of playing any position in December makes me nauseous.

At least Blair Kiel still has Donovan Darius.

Did I ever tell you about the time I saw Mark Brunell at the copy store? It was around '98 and I was with my 5-year-old Kiel-ette ---we were the only people in the store. I whispered to her to say "Go Packers"---she did, he smirked and that was about the extent of the exchange.

Dude is broke as schyt, having blow $25 million dollars---he should have smiled.

Karma.

Jacksonville celebrity sighting.  Ran in Vijay Singh at practice range.  What a dick.

Hell, Goalline thinks my jokes are funny as long as I end every one with...."And she had a really big butt."

You forgot "I cannot lie".  "Juicy booty" would be the preferred context.

Josh Jones continues to impress:

Another OTA practice another big play by rookie Josh Jones. Ripped a completion away from TE Lance Kendricks on third down in no-huddle.

I can't wait to see this kid play on Sundays.  It's early, but it looks like he'll be able to  really contribute this season.
