Why trade Adams for a second round pick when we can throw in Jarrett Bush and a 7th rounder to get Joe Thomas? Maybe we can sign Robert Ferguson out of retirement to spice up the deal.......
That there is brilliant GMing.
2016 is a bad draft year for TE. Multiple consensus boreds have told me so.
Trashing aside, I still have high hopes for Adams. He was great at times in 2014. His injury was pretty serious, so that obviously impacted his start to the year. May have even lingered. Plus, he was hardly alone in failing to step up in Jordy's absence.
I haven't given up on his potential, but I do still hope he has to earn his spot in the pecking order this August.
Davante had one leg he could cut on for most of last season. I'm more than willing to see what he's got being healthy this year.
Is Gerg available?
And we always have J Jones. They may keep him in the rolodex like they did with Flynn and Grant.
It is remarlable how under the radar this signing is. ESPN doesn't even have him listed on their free Agent Tracker. SI also had no real story other than the standard wire service story. Way to go TT and Packers.
Since he was released and "on the street", he doesn't fit the media's take on NFL FA.
Ted is boring = no ratings
I absolutely love the way this team is run.
Envy of the league.
I'm good with flying below the radar.

And NFL Network gives anything GB even less than that. This off season I have never heard GB discussed on the NFLN.
In that font it looks like a Jack Handy quote.

Serves you right for watching that dreck!!!
Check out the video. Cook at OTA's. That is one big boy..
He needs to get on P90X with Eddie. I want him at GRONK status.....LOL
GRONK status... banging pornstars and partying like a rock star?
Yup....You got it
PHAT Jared. Need to re-title the thread.

I've got to be honest, one of the reasons the Packers aren't covered much in the off-season is that they rarely make any sort of big splash. The Packers are covered more than enough once things actually start to matter. As a matter of fact, I got to the point in 2011 that I thought the coverage was too much.
The Packers are just 1 of 32 teams, they don't make big off-season big splashes, they haven't been to the Super Bowl in 6 seasons. There's a reason they aren't covered that much this time of the year, there's little new to cover at this point.
The off-season is the shining moment for teams like the Cowboys and the Browns. The Packers' shining moments come on the field during the regular season.
Lots of bad yelp reviews from Rams fans in the comments sections.
Green Bay Packers tight end Jared Cook, the team's biggest offseason acquisition this year, underwent foot surgery this week and will miss the rest of the offseason program. Cook was not at practice on Thursday when reporters were allowed to watch for the second time during organized team activities, and coach Mike McCarthy does not provide updates on injuries or attendance during voluntary sessions. The Packers gave Cook a one-year, $2.75 million contract after the Los Angeles Rams cut him in February.
I wonder if "the offseason program" means Training Camp or this is just OTA's and the June mini-camp? I hoping this kid is back by TC. Rodgers and Cook need to get timing down. Rrrrggg
Further update..
GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Green Bay Packers tight end Jared Cook, the team's biggest offseason acquisition this year, underwent foot surgery this week and will miss the rest of the offseason program, multiple sources told ESPN.
The Packers hope that Cook will be back for training camp next month. The surgery was described as "preventative" and something both Cook and the team wanted to take care of now so that it didn't linger into the regular season.
Why do I feel like.....
An idiot?
This guy, usually has some solid info.
Sounds like he could actually participate in minicamp if #Packers wanted to push things (they don't). https://t.co/HhkwzaelC6

He's Cooked.
Except that he's apparently quoting Demovsky.
"You can't kick some ass without healthy feet" - Chuck Norris
Cook's issue may mean Janis gets on the field a little earlier this year. Besides this is the year we have Nelson back - what could go wrong?
what could go wrong? anything, anytime. that's why winning SBs is hard.
Per WISN last night, Cook's surgery was so minor that he could and would have played this Sunday if this were the regular season.
Hang nail? Needed a Pedi? I mean a certain former TE for GB got them all the time..
She has cute little *PACKERS*
A lot of players have nagging injuries that could be taken care of or not. Most docs tend to want to put off surgery unless absolutely necessary. Jordy had hip problems and put off surgery, AR had a knee problem that he put off, Lang had shoulder problems that he put off. Sometimes it better to wait and see if the problem gets worse before needing surgery. Surgery is always the last solution from a medical standpoint in iffy cases.
This...
I'm liking #Packers TE Jared Cook in fantasy this year... I can see some Donald Lee 2007 type numbers - 48 catches 575yds, 6TDs
â Ben Fennell (@BenFennell_NFL) August 30, 2016
... would be great. Lots of 1st down catches in that 575 yards.
Let's hope he's closer to prime Jermichael Finley than Donald Lee...ever.
I drafted cook in my ff league, hope he scores more TDs than that.
edit: not just for my ff sake, btw.
