Any word on compensation?
Man, it's like Christmas came early this year.
Sorry MJ, posted at the same time.
Unlike Monty, this is a player Gute absolutely should get a 1st day pick for.
Tell you what, #Packers GM Brian Gutekunst ain't messing around. Don't want to be in GB? He'll ship you somewhere else. It's a ruthless approach, but one this team has probably needed for some time.

Agree
GlenGutey Glen Ross.

Bag of dicks.
Get a first day pick, and then package that for Landon Collins. There is some talk that the NYG say he's available.
I was hoping for Landon Collins for HHCD. Maybe throw in a mid round pick to sweeten the pot. Collins is same age and an upgrade overall.
good. watching the games, he was a lynchpin that made a lot of mistakes lately. so i think the big role is too big for him, he's good if he's not the man. but holy cripes, missed tackles, blown assignments, goodbye. i would hope we get something better than a 2020 pick, lol.

He wasn't asking for your Christmas wish list.
I think with all the other DB's healthy now they could be moving Tramon to safety. Breeland maybe actually becomes active on gameday.
Can Tramon hold up at safety?

Can he be worse than Ha Ha?
Move Tramon to safety, or Breeland or even Josh Jackson.

4th rounder

4th round pick. Terrible.
Comp update: Redskins traded a 2019 fourth-round pick to Packers for Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, per source.

He has more speed and smarts than Dix. Size isn't ideal but he did it in Arizona.
4th rounder?
HHCD was a RD1. Not a good investment. Still want to know how it all went south with him.
Jesus. So this is the "get what you can" fire sale with little room for leverage.
I'm sure there's nothing behind it.
Bad value for us. He's above average safety.

He's in the final year of his contract. Thought he'd renegotiate it and we'd get at least a third for him.
Bet he doesn't stand around on that team.
They got more than the 4th rd pick, they had him for 4 years. That's longer than the average a player lasts in the NFL.
Way too inconsistent. Morgan Burnett didn't play at a high level but at least you knew what you were getting game in and game out.

Above average safety record when he's driving? Because that dude is not above average at anything that takes place on a football field.
If they had kept him, have to wonder as a compensation pick in 2019 if GB would have gotten more. Then again, maybe it would have been no higher then a 4th rounder anyway.
Dix continued to shy away from hitting anyone. Happened again against the Rams. Had an absolutely piss poor effort in the RZ. Good riddance, just wish he would have garnered at least a 3rd.

It's a 4th round pick for a 9 game rental. It's better than having him on the field the rest of the season and letting him walk. Get the cancer out of the locker room.
And he hasn't been average (much less above average) for 2 years.
We do what we do.
I'm hoping the next thread is "McVince traded to Cleveland"
So Brice and Whitehead starting safeties against Brady this weekend?
yep, he's inconsistent and will make you pay at the worst time, so we have seen that movie enough. let's move on from waste, gm is not playing around, get er done gutey! i like it, no more complacency. play or yer out.

That siren went off in my head too.
We don't know if he was a cancer, but I believe everyone knew he wouldn't be in GB next year, so get something now.
The team is healthy and they have a lot of DB depth. Let's see what Pettine does with that group. Not having HaHa (the consistent vet presence) may allow for more play making be the yutes.
Trade McVince for Randall.
Gute will need to start completely over at safety, thanks Ted.
No way they can go into 2019 with Whitehead and Brice as starters.
