At 2-5, the Packers are positioning themselves into a top 3 pick and will have a realistic shot at Williams, Maye or McCarthy in a very strong QB class.

With just one year left in the Murphy era, I have little faith he will have the balls to clean house. At most, I think MLF is on the hot seat but no guarantee he's canned.

This is just a horrible team and Love played a game where he really looks like he may not be the guy.

- Ready for MLF and his entire staff to be gone. Been on the fence about him for quite awhile, but after these last 5 games I've become convinced that he's not the guy.

Lotsa money at stake and peeps want to get a chance at NFL "heaven" (Lambeau).

Lotta folks be checking off the bucket list of visiting Lambeau this season. 😁

Don't think we'll see Clifford unless Gutey forces MLF? Maybe?

Just 2? Mostly because they lost Cousins and their kicker sucked today.

I was skeptical after the Lions game. They got smoked when they played a decent team but it was just one game. Every game after that I've been saying he could be done after this season. Wins and Losses are one thing but if your team is unmotivated every week coming off a losing season he can't survive. His only hope is Murphy won't make a change with one year before retirement.

I really hope that's not the case. I would never cheer injuries to even a rival I hate. But if this is the case, the Lions can just celebrate their NFCN division title now.

All minuses at this point...team is regressing in almost every phase each week.

Good NFL QB find ways to make plays in the face of adversity from time to time. Right now this team is too bad in too many areas for a guy of Love's abilities to overcome. Brock Purdy is surrounded by a great OL, very good weapons, a HC who is an innovative playcaller and a top 5 defense.

Love my be a good NFL QB some day...but not with this offense/personnel around him. He makes some good throws...on occasion he makes a great throw...but all too often, he makes way too many bad throws. He is still a major work in progress.

I would be more willing to give Love a longer look into 2024 if he was a true rookie. He's not. 3 years in MLF's system and he isn't making great reads, he's either overthrowing or underthrowing his WR's and on the play he takes off and runs where he needs 16, he does nothing to avoid the safety and settles for a yard short on 4th down.

I am not for starting Clifford at this point. I still think you need to ride this out and see if he and MLF can do anything to right the ship. The problem is now the schedule gets ugly with the Steelers, Lions, Chargers and Chiefs coming up.

As ugly as it is now, it's highly likely it gets much worse very soon.

Kirk was playing some really good football these last few weeks.  If he’s done for the year, the Vikings will be joining the Packers and Bears jostling for position in the top 10 of the 2024 NFL draft.

But maybe to salvage any confidence he does have he needs a week off.  Very similar to giving a struggling MLB player a few games off to get his mojo back.  If the offense looks the same with Clifford go back to Love and finish the season.  If the offense looks better maybe Clifford IS the QB of the future.

I really don't see how giving Love a "week off" will help his confidence.  It's nothing like baseball.  Baseball is every day and 162 games.  Giving a guy a couple of games off is nothing like not starting your QB1 for a week.

- Will Levis, the guy that couldn't beat out Sean Clifford at Ped State.  Already a better game in his first start then Jlove has had in his 4 year career.

Will Levis wasn't sacked today. Derrick Henry rushed for over 100 yards.  Deandre Hopkins had 3 TDs and 128 yards.

Personnel matters.

+/- Love hit receivers in the hands more often in this game; unfreakin'-believable how the WRs cannot catch or fight for a pass. The throws to Jones on the first drive and Musgrave during the second drive were in decent to good spots; each brutally flubbed it and it was like a pin to a balloon on offense. The scramble and great throw by Love; it was negated by another f*cking penalty, one of 11 for 99 yards. Finally, some good DL play (62 rushing yards by MN; three sacks); I never want to see one more f*cking soft zone that leaves a guy wide open in the middle of the field for an easy reception. I never want to see AJ Dillon running up the gut on third and short after the blocking has failed in at least three of the same scenarios; that's shitty coaching/play calling.

If anyone looks like they're going to cry after a game, it's Love. He has regressed back to the 2021 KC game level. He takes longer than ever to make decisions, and his accuracy during games is suspect. His confidence looks like it has really taken a hit, and I wouldn't be surprised if the team's confidence in him has plummeted as well. While he's always calm, it's past time he gets after the WRs to get after the ball and concentrate. It may be time to sit him for a game just to let him regroup and let Clifford try to dodge Aaron Donald next week. Clifford's ego isn't going to be hurt.

+/+ Whelan's punting: 4 for a 51.8 average. A redo on the missed field goal. Big whoop.

I hate the f*cking Vikings with a purple passion.

That's going to be a really scary position for this front office to be in.  If Love doesn't completely crater and they end up with a shot at drafting one of the top 3 QB's, I really fear that they pass and stick with Love.  And the real sticker is the next regime post-MM would almost certainly pick their own QB.

And who is that QB going to throw to?  Love hit multiple guys right in the hands and they couldn't catch the damn ball.  Not excusing Love, but a new QB isn't going to solve much of anything.  We're not a QB away right now.

Our first 2 offensive series .... 2 missed blocking assignments and two dropped passes...first defensive possession, dropped interception. Pretty much set the tone for the rest of the game.

The problem is you have non-rookie OL making rookie mistakes. You expect some of that from a Rasheed Walker...but not Josh Myers or JRJ. I've said it for weeks...if this is best OL Gutey can assemble, it tells me he isn't a very good drafter of OL talent.

The cornerstone of this type of offense is it's very good at running the ball and sets up everything else. The Packers cannot be counted on to get a yard on 3rd and 1 or 4th and 1...that is a given for teams like the 49ers, Dolphins, Jets, Rams, etc.

This offense all starts with the OL. Gutey must have missed that meeting. Fix the OL, or none of the other shit matters.

So if the WRs are making catches that are hitting them in their hands, is Love still regressing???

The receiving corp needs to make some plays., The O-line needs to block better in the passing and running game.  Dillon needs to power thru some arm tackles. And Aaron Jones needs to get MORE FUCKING TOUCHES!!!!!

Feel bad for Cousins. Can't stand the the way he smiles, calls signals with that whiny voice, but the guy is a baller.  Now Viking fans after the way they acted after Rodgers injury can go play in the road now.

No way Murph lets Gute or anybody else bench Love or fire McFly. He hitched his wagon to both of them. The only way it's gonna happen ids the board firing everybody and that ain't happening.

-Biggest Minus:  There’s nothing this team is good at and at present, there’s not much on the team to make you feel like things will get better in a couple years.

-Equally big minus:  Gutekunst made a huge gamble on Jordan Love.  It was catastrophic to the 2020 team that was maybe a quality player away from a Super Bowl title, and it continues to be a disasterous personnel move 3 years later. Jordan Love seems like a great guy, but the more he plays, the more he looks like a backup level player and shows no signs of being a Championship caliber starter.  Gutekunst put his job on the line with his choice, and he should be terminated for this mistake among many others.

There is no rookie that would have made a difference in 2020, we need to stop with this horrible take.  3 years later though, totally agree.

Both. In earlier games, he was making guys have to make good catches on even the short or intermediate stuff; now, he's hitting those but still can't hit a guy in stride for a TD. It's also the lack of being able to anticipate and get the ball out early. Look how he has guys open deep and by the time he throws, a DB or S has time to get over and break it up. I don't know if Love will ever be able to "throw a guy open" or consistently hit timing passes.

Other than playing for the rival.  Seems like a really good guy and teammate.

Yeah, passing on one to trade out for a shot at the top pick in 2025 for the new President/CEO to preside over in Green Bay could be a major blunder. If they have the chance to draft a top guy, they absolutely should. On the off chance Love breaks out next preseason/season, they have major trade bait.
