Still get 6th seed unless Washington ties them at 12-5 (I think) then 7th seed.
Can't even believe I'm talking about a 12-5 team having 6th & 7th seed but here we are
Well well well.......KC has wrapped up the #1 seed. Very nice.....
They won't play meaningful football for 3 weeks. Nice little vacation.
I'm wondering if MLF will give the Packers some time off in week #18 too? Kind of match the bye week.
While a break is nice, I donโt like the idea of anything that would mess up the routine. They have a good mindset right now, Iโd hate to have anything potentially disrupt that.
The games aren't meaningless (yet) if you think it's more important to be a #6 seed than a #7 and avoid Philadelphia.
@AlbertBreer: Bengals needs coming into Week 17 ...
โ๏ธ Win over Broncos.
โ๏ธ One more Colts loss.
๐ฆ One more Dolphins loss.
๐ฆ Win over Steelers.
๐ฆ Broncos loss to Chiefs.
Packers need Washington to lose tonight vs. Atlanta, or next week against Dallas.
The difference is 6th seed @ LA, or 7th seed @ PHI. Would really rather not go to Philly.
IDGAF.....bring on whoever

โTo be the best, you gotta beat the best!โ Right?
Of course, in the first round, some teams will have the opportunity to play/beat โnot the bestโ in order to move on.
We would have an actual chance of winning a game vs the NFCS or NFCW opponent.
The same is not true vs Philly, Detoilet, or Minnesota when going head-to-head.
Especially in the first round.
Let's go to Tampa. FIRE THE CANNONS!!

I'm not scared.
Why are you scared? You think they're going to lose anyway. Or is it just about being "right"?

You and your extremes and hyperbole.
Why would I be scared? I have no bearing on the game. Iโm a fan.
And I donโt think theyโre gonna automatically lose in the playoffs. I think they can beat any team in the NFL, home or away, But I also donโt think theyโre a shoe in to beat any of the playoff teams either. You seem to think that teams are afraid of playing the Packers. Thatโs laughable. And apparently if fans donโt think the Packers are the best team in the NFC/NFL, then those fans must think theyโre gonna lose. Really???
The Packers had an opportunity to beat the Lions. Twice. They didnโt. But the Lions are afraid of the Packers.
The Packers had an opportunity to beat the Vikings. Twice. They didnโt. But the Vikings are afraid of the Packers.
The Packers had an opportunity to beat the Eagles on a neutral field. They didnโt.
They swept a very weak NFC West and AFC South. What is their signature win? The Rams early in the season when they were without Kupp and Nacu? Miami, who most likely miss the playoffs?
The Packers are a really good team. But so is Philly, and Detroit, and Minnesota. And those teams have swept the Packers this season. And to me, playing Philly in the first round is less desirable than playing one of the other non north division winners which is what they will most likely face. And thatโs why I didnโt understand your โif LaFleur wants Detroit to get the top seedโฆ.โ. LaFleur wanted to win the game, and Iโm fairly certain he didnโt care about the #1 seed if it wasnโt GB.
Anyway, there are plenty of negative Nellieโs on this board. Iโm not one and never have been. But I also donโt think thereโs a team in the NFL that doesnโt think theycan beat the team across from them on any given Sunday. And I doubt thereโs a team thatโs โscared to play the Packersโ. You throw the โscaredโ word around with relative ease.
Would love to see EVERYONE and ANYONE who is nursing even a minor malady sit for next Sunday's contest.
Would love to see MLF unclench the collective butt cheeks and go into the (likely) opening playoff game in Philly playing like the Pack has nothing to lose.
Nobody expects GB to go on the road and beat 2 or 3 teams they could not beat during the regular season, so go down fighting.

Packers are 1 & done right? It's a forgone conclusion obviously.
@Boris posted:Packers are 1 & done right? It's a forgone conclusion obviously.
Yeah, thatโs what Iโve posted.
I came into this season thinking this was 1994 or 2009, sort of โThe year before the yearโ for the Packers. I still feel that way.
Maybe the one thing different is that in 1994 and 2009 we had QBs who made huge improvements in the 2nd half of those seasons. Love has played better in the 2nd half of this year, but I donโt feel like heโs made the jump to โeliteโ like Rodgers and Favre did. Just to clarify, I know the Pack didnโt win the Super Bowl in โ95 but I felt that squad and the QB did enter the NFLโs elite after โ94 season concluded.
Thereโs still time for Love to make that jump, but these last 2 weeks havenโt been a good sign heโs going to make that happen.
โPossibly going to Philly scares me for obvious reasons.
My 2 cents, but on the list of things that limit or prevent the Packers from being real contenders Jordan Love is like 10th on the list.
If I had to rank order itโs like this - top 3
1) Gary and Clark have to play at least 80% of their capability. Right now, they might be 50% at best. Step your fucking game already. You are stealing money from this team.
2) Watson and Jaire have to be healthy and on the field. Not because I expect them to play like All Pros, but their mere presence forces teams to account for them on both sides of the ball and opens up a lot more options.
3) MLF has to get his head out of his ass. Quit trying to win the press conference game and collect press clippings. Get your team ready and ignore the outside noise. Play to this teams strength and RTFB. They are really good at it.
Maybe afraid isnโt the right word but I get it.
I have zero expectations for this Packers team because until they prove they can beat the big dogs itโs all just banter. Sometimes as a fan thatโs OK. If they win itโs a nice surprise.
If Iโm a Minnesota or Detroit fan Iโm still concerned. Does anyone really think Sam Darnold and the Vikings wonโt choke at some point? A lot of my Minnesota friends still think like that. As for Detroit, they are a different version of Minnesota. The MIM has to fuck things up, right? Plus I just donโt think their health will allow them to get over.
If thereโs one team in the NFC I wouldnโt want to play itโs Washington. They have nothing to lose and honestly donโt know any better. And that QB is a human highlight reel. No thanks if Iโm a team that has to play them.
As for GB, they are who they are. A B to B+ team thatโs good but wonโt jump up and scare anyone. Itโs always possible they could, but I still think they are a year or two away.
Theyโre babies!!! And as I said before I keep forgetting that. Get their feet wet this yearโฆ.and in a year or two, as previously stated, theyโll be ready, primed and able to kick butt in the playoffs. Now??? Not so much. โฅ๏ธ ๐ ๐
Vikings are gonna torch the Lions. Get ready for it.
@YATittle posted:Vikings are gonna torch the Lions. Get ready for it.
So with one of your famous predictions I totally expect the Lions to destroy the Vikings
How is DET's DL mash unit/pash rush playing? That would be the key to that matchup.
Detroitโs OL is the best in football. That Vikings pass defense is suspect and give up a lot of plays if they canโt pressure Goff.
Thatโs the part I canโt understand about the game yesterday. The Vikings pass blocking has been nothing special until GB shows up then Darnold has all day to throw.
It's called "holding" & the refs refused to call it.
Packers need to deal with it because it isn't going to be any different in the playoffs

Itโs crazy how talented Daniels is. He might be the best QB in the NFC already and heโs just a rookie.
I donโt think he has much help on that team, but heโs so good he just needs a minimal amount of help to find a way to win a game.
Daniels consistently makes good decisions, especially on WHEN to run.
They're also riding the unscouted QB train. Everyone was gaga about Stroud last year and this year there is a lot of revisionist backtracking on him.
McClaurin isn't "no help", and Robinson is a decent back. Some new kid had himself a game last night too. Daniels is a rookie phenom for sure. But let's see how he does in year 2 before anointing him best anything. He's not looking as reckless as other young running QBs but he's still taking too many hits. They really shouldn't forget what happened to RG3.
I wonder if the Bears are regretting not taking Daniels or Maye. Both of those guys look a lot better than CW.
Then again, you could have John Elway or Joe Montana in their prime and my guess is Chicago would figure out a way to fuck it up.
I'm not sure the season could have unfolded much worse than it did for their rookie QB. He wasn't perfect but he still did some really good things in his first year. That team desperately needs stability and quality control.
Isn't that crazy!?
They had Darnold and Mayfield
Yeah, but were they 5'8"?
