Still get 6th seed unless Washington ties them at 12-5 (I think) then 7th seed.
Can't even believe I'm talking about a 12-5 team having 6th & 7th seed but here we are
Well well well.......KC has wrapped up the #1 seed. Very nice.....
They won't play meaningful football for 3 weeks. Nice little vacation.
I'm wondering if MLF will give the Packers some time off in week #18 too? Kind of match the bye week.
While a break is nice, I donβt like the idea of anything that would mess up the routine. They have a good mindset right now, Iβd hate to have anything potentially disrupt that.
The games aren't meaningless (yet) if you think it's more important to be a #6 seed than a #7 and avoid Philadelphia.
@AlbertBreer: Bengals needs coming into Week 17 ...
βοΈ Win over Broncos.
βοΈ One more Colts loss.
π¦ One more Dolphins loss.
π¦ Win over Steelers.
π¦ Broncos loss to Chiefs.
Packers need Washington to lose tonight vs. Atlanta, or next week against Dallas.
The difference is 6th seed @ LA, or 7th seed @ PHI. Would really rather not go to Philly.
IDGAF.....bring on whoever

βTo be the best, you gotta beat the best!β Right?
Of course, in the first round, some teams will have the opportunity to play/beat βnot the bestβ in order to move on.
We would have an actual chance of winning a game vs the NFCS or NFCW opponent.
The same is not true vs Philly, Detoilet, or Minnesota when going head-to-head.
Especially in the first round.
Let's go to Tampa. FIRE THE CANNONS!!

I'm not scared.
Why are you scared? You think they're going to lose anyway. Or is it just about being "right"?

You and your extremes and hyperbole.
Why would I be scared? I have no bearing on the game. Iβm a fan.
And I donβt think theyβre gonna automatically lose in the playoffs. I think they can beat any team in the NFL, home or away, But I also donβt think theyβre a shoe in to beat any of the playoff teams either. You seem to think that teams are afraid of playing the Packers. Thatβs laughable. And apparently if fans donβt think the Packers are the best team in the NFC/NFL, then those fans must think theyβre gonna lose. Really???
The Packers had an opportunity to beat the Lions. Twice. They didnβt. But the Lions are afraid of the Packers.
The Packers had an opportunity to beat the Vikings. Twice. They didnβt. But the Vikings are afraid of the Packers.
The Packers had an opportunity to beat the Eagles on a neutral field. They didnβt.
They swept a very weak NFC West and AFC South. What is their signature win? The Rams early in the season when they were without Kupp and Nacu? Miami, who most likely miss the playoffs?
The Packers are a really good team. But so is Philly, and Detroit, and Minnesota. And those teams have swept the Packers this season. And to me, playing Philly in the first round is less desirable than playing one of the other non north division winners which is what they will most likely face. And thatβs why I didnβt understand your βif LaFleur wants Detroit to get the top seedβ¦.β. LaFleur wanted to win the game, and Iβm fairly certain he didnβt care about the #1 seed if it wasnβt GB.
Anyway, there are plenty of negative Nellieβs on this board. Iβm not one and never have been. But I also donβt think thereβs a team in the NFL that doesnβt think theycan beat the team across from them on any given Sunday. And I doubt thereβs a team thatβs βscared to play the Packersβ. You throw the βscaredβ word around with relative ease.
Would love to see EVERYONE and ANYONE who is nursing even a minor malady sit for next Sunday's contest.
Would love to see MLF unclench the collective butt cheeks and go into the (likely) opening playoff game in Philly playing like the Pack has nothing to lose.
Nobody expects GB to go on the road and beat 2 or 3 teams they could not beat during the regular season, so go down fighting.

Packers are 1 & done right? It's a forgone conclusion obviously.
@Boris posted:Packers are 1 & done right? It's a forgone conclusion obviously.
Yeah, thatβs what Iβve posted.
I came into this season thinking this was 1994 or 2009, sort of βThe year before the yearβ for the Packers. I still feel that way.
Maybe the one thing different is that in 1994 and 2009 we had QBs who made huge improvements in the 2nd half of those seasons. Love has played better in the 2nd half of this year, but I donβt feel like heβs made the jump to βeliteβ like Rodgers and Favre did. Just to clarify, I know the Pack didnβt win the Super Bowl in β95 but I felt that squad and the QB did enter the NFLβs elite after β94 season concluded.
Thereβs still time for Love to make that jump, but these last 2 weeks havenβt been a good sign heβs going to make that happen.
βPossibly going to Philly scares me for obvious reasons.
My 2 cents, but on the list of things that limit or prevent the Packers from being real contenders Jordan Love is like 10th on the list.
If I had to rank order itβs like this - top 3
1) Gary and Clark have to play at least 80% of their capability. Right now, they might be 50% at best. Step your fucking game already. You are stealing money from this team.
2) Watson and Jaire have to be healthy and on the field. Not because I expect them to play like All Pros, but their mere presence forces teams to account for them on both sides of the ball and opens up a lot more options.
3) MLF has to get his head out of his ass. Quit trying to win the press conference game and collect press clippings. Get your team ready and ignore the outside noise. Play to this teams strength and RTFB. They are really good at it.
Maybe afraid isnβt the right word but I get it.
I have zero expectations for this Packers team because until they prove they can beat the big dogs itβs all just banter. Sometimes as a fan thatβs OK. If they win itβs a nice surprise.
If Iβm a Minnesota or Detroit fan Iβm still concerned. Does anyone really think Sam Darnold and the Vikings wonβt choke at some point? A lot of my Minnesota friends still think like that. As for Detroit, they are a different version of Minnesota. The MIM has to fuck things up, right? Plus I just donβt think their health will allow them to get over.
If thereβs one team in the NFC I wouldnβt want to play itβs Washington. They have nothing to lose and honestly donβt know any better. And that QB is a human highlight reel. No thanks if Iβm a team that has to play them.
As for GB, they are who they are. A B to B+ team thatβs good but wonβt jump up and scare anyone. Itβs always possible they could, but I still think they are a year or two away.
Theyβre babies!!! And as I said before I keep forgetting that. Get their feet wet this yearβ¦.and in a year or two, as previously stated, theyβll be ready, primed and able to kick butt in the playoffs. Now??? Not so much. β₯οΈ π π
Vikings are gonna torch the Lions. Get ready for it.
@YATittle posted:Vikings are gonna torch the Lions. Get ready for it.
So with one of your famous predictions I totally expect the Lions to destroy the Vikings
How is DET's DL mash unit/pash rush playing? That would be the key to that matchup.
Detroitβs OL is the best in football. That Vikings pass defense is suspect and give up a lot of plays if they canβt pressure Goff.
Thatβs the part I canβt understand about the game yesterday. The Vikings pass blocking has been nothing special until GB shows up then Darnold has all day to throw.
It's called "holding" & the refs refused to call it.
Packers need to deal with it because it isn't going to be any different in the playoffs

Itβs crazy how talented Daniels is. He might be the best QB in the NFC already and heβs just a rookie.
I donβt think he has much help on that team, but heβs so good he just needs a minimal amount of help to find a way to win a game.
Daniels consistently makes good decisions, especially on WHEN to run.
They're also riding the unscouted QB train. Everyone was gaga about Stroud last year and this year there is a lot of revisionist backtracking on him.
McClaurin isn't "no help", and Robinson is a decent back. Some new kid had himself a game last night too. Daniels is a rookie phenom for sure. But let's see how he does in year 2 before anointing him best anything. He's not looking as reckless as other young running QBs but he's still taking too many hits. They really shouldn't forget what happened to RG3.
I wonder if the Bears are regretting not taking Daniels or Maye. Both of those guys look a lot better than CW.
Then again, you could have John Elway or Joe Montana in their prime and my guess is Chicago would figure out a way to fuck it up.
I'm not sure the season could have unfolded much worse than it did for their rookie QB. He wasn't perfect but he still did some really good things in his first year. That team desperately needs stability and quality control.
Isn't that crazy!?
They had Darnold and Mayfield
Yeah, but were they 5'8"?
