I'm not scared.

Why are you scared? You think they're going to lose anyway. Or is it just about being "right"?

You and your extremes and hyperbole.

Why would I be scared? I have no bearing on the game. I’m a fan.

And I don’t think they’re gonna automatically lose in the playoffs.  I think they can beat any team in the NFL, home or away, But I also don’t think they’re a shoe in to beat any of the playoff teams either. You seem to think that teams are afraid of playing the Packers. That’s laughable. And apparently if fans don’t think the Packers are the best team in the NFC/NFL, then those fans must think they’re gonna lose. Really???

The Packers had an opportunity to beat the Lions. Twice.  They didn’t. But the Lions are afraid of the Packers.

The Packers had an opportunity to beat the Vikings. Twice.  They didn’t. But the Vikings are afraid of the Packers.

The Packers had an opportunity to beat the Eagles on a neutral field. They didn’t.

They swept a very weak NFC West and AFC South. What is their signature win? The Rams early in the season when they were without Kupp and Nacu? Miami, who most likely miss the playoffs?

The Packers are a really good team. But so is Philly, and Detroit, and Minnesota.  And those teams have swept the Packers this season. And to me, playing Philly in the first round is less desirable than playing one of the other non north division winners which is what they will most likely face. And that’s why I didn’t understand your β€œif LaFleur wants Detroit to get the top seed….”. LaFleur wanted to win the game, and I’m fairly certain he didn’t care about the #1 seed if it wasn’t GB.

Anyway, there are plenty of negative Nellie’s on this board. I’m not one and never have been. But I also don’t think there’s a team in the NFL that doesn’t think theycan beat the team across from them on any given Sunday. And I doubt there’s a team that’s β€œscared to play the Packers”. You throw the β€œscared” word around with relative ease.

Would love to see EVERYONE and ANYONE who is nursing even a minor malady sit for next Sunday's contest.

Would love to see MLF unclench the collective butt cheeks and go into the (likely) opening playoff game in Philly playing like the Pack has nothing to lose.

Nobody expects GB to go on the road and beat 2 or 3 teams they could not beat during the regular season, so go down fighting.

I came into this season thinking this was 1994 or 2009, sort of β€œThe year before the year” for the Packers.  I still feel that way.

Maybe the one thing different is that in 1994 and 2009 we had QBs who made huge improvements in the 2nd half of those seasons.  Love has played better in the 2nd half of this year, but I don’t feel like he’s made the jump to β€œelite” like Rodgers and Favre did.  Just to clarify, I know the Pack didn’t win the Super Bowl in β€˜95 but I felt that squad and the QB did enter the NFL’s elite after β€˜94 season concluded.

There’s still time for Love to make that jump, but these last 2 weeks haven’t been a good sign he’s going to make that happen.

My 2 cents, but on the list of things that limit or prevent the Packers from being real contenders Jordan Love is like 10th on the list.

If I had to rank order it’s like this - top 3

1) Gary and Clark have to play at least 80% of their capability.  Right now, they might be 50% at best.  Step your fucking game already.  You are stealing money from this team.

2) Watson and Jaire have to be healthy and on the field.  Not because I expect them to play like All Pros, but their mere presence forces teams to account for them on both sides of the ball and opens up a lot more options.

3) MLF has to get his head out of his ass.  Quit trying to win the press conference game and collect press clippings.   Get your team ready and ignore the outside noise.  Play to this teams strength and RTFB.   They are really good at it.

Maybe afraid isn’t the right word but I get it.

I have zero expectations for this Packers team because until they prove they can beat the big dogs it’s all just banter.  Sometimes as a fan that’s OK.   If they win it’s a nice surprise.

If I’m a Minnesota or Detroit fan I’m still concerned.  Does anyone really think Sam Darnold and the Vikings won’t choke at some point?   A lot of my Minnesota friends still think like that.   As for Detroit, they are a different version of Minnesota.  The MIM has to fuck things up, right?   Plus I just don’t think their health will allow them to get over.

If there’s one team in the NFC I wouldn’t want to play it’s Washington.  They have nothing to lose and honestly don’t know any better.  And that QB is a human highlight reel.  No thanks if I’m a team that has to play them.

As for GB, they are who they are.  A B to B+ team that’s good but won’t jump up and scare anyone.  It’s always possible they could, but I still think they are a year or two away.

It’s crazy how talented Daniels is.  He might be the best QB in the NFC already and he’s just a rookie.

I don’t think he has much help on that team, but he’s so good he just needs a minimal amount of help to find a way to win a game.

They're also riding the unscouted QB train.  Everyone was gaga about Stroud last year and this year there is a lot of revisionist backtracking on him.

McClaurin isn't "no help", and Robinson is a decent back.  Some new kid had himself a game last night too. Daniels is a rookie phenom for sure.  But let's see how he does in year 2 before anointing him best anything.  He's not looking as reckless as other young running QBs but he's still taking too many hits.  They really shouldn't forget what happened to RG3.
