From Wilde:

In addition, the Packers unveiled a new dime alignment that didn’t have a single true defensive lineman on the field. Instead, defensive coordinator Dom Capers used five linebackers – Matthews, Peppers, Nick Perry, Mike Neal and A.J. Hawk – in various configurations, including with Matthews lining up inside as a stand-up inside rusher.

Sounds like what MM was talking about during OTAs and TC. Different body types, different packages. With the sort of secondary play GB is now getting you can be more exotic with your front seven.

The anti-Norvening.

Good Things

Just about every aspect of offense this game

Lacy looks like he'd be slow, fat...Lacy is quick, powerful and punishing

Nelson

Cobb

Ha-Ha

Richardson

Defense is getting better and better

Bad Things

TT still hasn't extended Cobb...What are you waiting for Ted?

Flynn...yeesh!

Quarless was still in warmup mode when Rodgers got sacked

Rodgers missed Rogers at the endzone...too bad as his dad could have seen his son catch his first TD at Lambeau Field and his first Leap.

Fight the Norvening!!!

I'm looking forward to the maturation, enough to contend in the playoffs.

Negative

Datone Jones wasn't missed.  Good thing the Wizard sticks with his ****ty starters until forced to play guys like Pennel and Robinson.

I've been far from Datone's biggest fan, but that guy was coming around in the last two games he played. It kind of reminds me of Perry the last two seasons...things were starting to come together for him, and then he'd get hurt. Thankfully, Perry's staying healthy and ascending this season.

Hopefully Datone comes back and doesn't experience any setbacks in his development. Either way, it's great to see these other guys stepping up.

Datone had a string of a few good games before he got injured against the Vikings. They're going to need him and Shields on deck to take down the Saints next week, it's in that damn dome, and they're playing for their season.

That was an ass whipping.

Side-note, I love all things local, whether they are my local, your local, or somebody else's local.

I spent a good 5 years of my life close to the Kimberly/Appleton line.  Not far from Frank's Wishing Well, on Buchanan off of Newberry.

I cannot believe there is a Papermaker in the NFL.  That is beyond cool to me.
