I spent a good 5 years of my life close to the Kimberly/Appleton line.  Not far from Frank's Wishing Well, on Buchanan off of Newberry.

I cannot believe there is a Papermaker in the NFL.  That is beyond cool to me.

I lived 10 minutes from Frank's Wishing Well.  Been there many many times.   I loved going to that place!

Or something like that.

I like FM, I like the Stones, I like Springsteen. Sorry they're out of your price range. When Boyz to Men make a comeback you'll can sleep overnight and get tickets with the rest of your "buddies". Then again, there's always the County Fairs!!!

Look BK, I get your schtick. You're need to be right is important to you. When the Packers win, you want to say "I told you so!!!". Then they lose and the fans bring up deficiencies, you cry, "You're not really fans!!! And besides, I have another life!!!"

It's really quite funny. I've been a Packer fan longer than you've been alive. I've watched them through the Scott Hunter, Jerry Tagge, David Whitehurst days. Your juvenile insults are nothing compared to what I've heard before. You're an attention whore, nothing more. And that's ok with me. Really, it is. because I get to go back to my life on Mondays and you have to settle for yours.

So I'll go back to watching my favorite team and you can go back and try to prove you have relevance. I'll sit back and smile. Poor little guy...

Hey Lacy looked better, huh? Peppers really showed up too, doncha think BK?

Did I see correctly that House was injured late?  If so any update?

Really really have to nitpick on this game and my only negative comment is that the stretch runs still need some work.  Like I said its nitpicking, easily the most complete game in all 3 phases to date.

So when they suck it's the coach's fault but when they do well it's the players fault? Interesting. Actually I've stated before that Norv Capers has fewer excuses this year because the talent has been upgraded and key guys are healthy. What we saw today was this defense's potential being revealed, the combination of talented players doing their job and a coach that is good enough doing his job. He clearly has Safety talent because Hyde and Dix looked really solid and he has multiple healthy talented pass rushers. No excuses and honestly the last few weeks we haven't seen much need for any.

Too easy.  Take that logic and turn it on yourself.

How about addressing the issue of actually being able to spot the talent he has on his staff instead of declaring Jones and other stiffs as starters right out of the gate.  Best players on the field?  He had his current rotation foisted on him because of injuries and still attempted to put Jones back in the starting line up.  Christ.

Are those hairs not split yet Hank or do you have more to go?You make it sound as if Lattimore and Barrington are these gems. Wake up man they're all back up caliber players, all of the ILBs. Same goes for rookie Mike Pennel, why is it such a failure that he hasn't been worked in? Did I miss all the pro bowl caliber plays he made when he was getting a chance? Actually Capers has stuck with Letroy Guion and Guion has actually improved. I was calling for that guy to be cut immediately like everyone else, but he's stepped up...you want to know why the ILBs have looked better recently? It's because guys like Boyd and Guion are getting better and they're doing their job. Symbiosis my friend.

Who is talking pro bowlers?  How about ****ing relatively competent?  Pennel and Robinson aren't playing if injuries on the line don't occur yet you've been hanging onto this "it's not Dommy's fault, he has no talent".  Christ, scrubs that he overlooked are making this defense go.  How ridiculous is that?  A whole offseason, getting spanked the first few games and it takes a truckload of scrubs to start showing improvement?  He's so stuck in his wizardry he doesn't even know what he has for players for **** sake.

Keep polishing that turd.

Demovsky with more about NASCAR:

In "NASCAR," Capers went without any traditional defensive linemen in what was a dime (six defensive back) secondary alignment. Instead, he lined up Matthews and Peppers -- his starting outside linebackers -- as defensive tackles on the interior of the line and flanked them with Nick Perry and Mike Neal as outside linebackers.

"It gets all four of our elephant types on the field at the same time," Packers coach Mike McCarthy said. "Yeah, it's been very productive."

Capers used it only in third-down situations. The first five times he employed "NASCAR" on Sunday, the Packers came up with third-down stops on four of them, including Perry's sack of Cam Newton on third-and-5 to end the Panthers' second series. Carolina converted just 4-of-12 third downs.

21 points in the 1st quarter sure didn't hurt the run D.  They played well, but the offense was just as much of a contributor IMO.

Cmn ran for 6 a carry and Stewart for 4 per attempt.  The big factor was they only had 21 attempts because they were playing catch up from the get go.

D has been trending up and playing well.  Secondary might be best in NFL, but success as a whole is based on having a lead.

I don't think Brad Jones is better at all, but I don't think the other two are good ILBs. We can easily do better. I'm not complaining about them though, I'm happy about the win. I'm just saying don't complain about Capers not putting these guys in sooner when in reality they aren't world beaters...even relatively competent is a stretch for them. The recipe for getting more production from the ILBs is better DL play which we seem to be getting. I'm happy with the D though, I still see gaps in talent, but I'm very satisfied...3 points and 2 garbage time TDs in a blowout win is a really solid day.

Are you ****ing kidding?  It's it the very essence of the coaches god damn job to know who is the better player.    ILB, DL changes, all pushed on him due to injury.

I mean lets not blame Dom for not doing his job.  Holy hell!  How's a guy supposed to know with only years of wizardry, a full training camp, preseason and even a couple of games who can actually play!  You'd have to be some kind of, of WIZARD!

When the Packers dominate a team and get a blowout win, one has to nitpick to find fault. All I will say is that it wasn't a 'perfect' game by any means, but it was a damn good performance. This is the team we expected this season.

A couple of guys I want to call out are:
Richard Rodgers. His blocking today was outstanding! One series he had blocks on 3 consecutive plays, including 1 where he absolutely blew a guy up (on a catch-n-run by Cobb, IIRC), that were all crunching.

Tim Masthay. Is nast-ay.

Tramon was not only available and accountable, he had an excellent effort today.

It also seems both coordinators, including Capers(!), had intelligent game plans that were well thought out, fresh, creative, and proved quite effective. It does beg the question of where has this been all along, but if we can see more of the same and similar, I would say that is the perfect 'Norvening' antidote.

The biggest negative today was Starks injury (ankle?).

Otherwise, it seems we came out of this game relatively unscathed.

I recall Daktari having to suck it up after a play early in the game, but finished with no problems.

PB DPM mentioned a possible injury to House; I wasn't aware of it, but hope it's nothing serious in any case.

I don't recall any other injuries, or guys leaving the game.

Love the win, but lets not get too carried away with the defensive personel. Carolina has a putrid offensive line, struggle to field a half-way healthy RB and mostly crap at receiver. They've also been terrible on defense. Green Bay took care of business, as they should, but don't take too much out of one game, especially against a team that isn't all that good.

That may be the biggest positive though. They didn't mess around. They took the early lead and didn't let up until the game was out-of-reach. There was no letting Carolina hang around, the Packers took them to the woodshed.

Good morning BK! GREAT game yesterday, huh? Rodgers is the best player in the league without a doubt. The OL and Capers deserve a lot of credit too. Let's hope they can go to New Orleans and pound that little choker Brees into that fake grass. Pressure up the middle is the key I think. Have a great day, I know I will!

Wasn't the knock on Bishop at that time that he showed talent, but he was often out of position?  Therefore, unreliable?
