They won.

Defense is for real, real, not for play, play.

JK Scott is one hell of a punter.

Aaron Rodgers has gone from King Throw Away to King Throw In the Ground. He’s feeling pressure that isn’t there.

They won

Opportunistic defense continues to force turnovers. Gutey's additions have been fantastic.

-

Defense needs to tighten up a very porous run defense and improve the tackling.

Offense continues to be a largely non-functioning mess.

+ Defense, even with some folks out, they were stout.

- Offense is still trying to find the groove under MLF.  But they did enough to win.

+ Smiths

+ Opie

- Announcers, ffs, awful.

- A couple of long drives vs our D, Bronco's waterbug was effective for a while

- I should have bought more Jack Daniels.

They scored 27 points against what is probably a top 10 defense this year.....and you losers are crying about the offense.

Just a note....the guys in Denver get paid too.

Rodgers is just suffering from the bad habits that he was forced to develop under McCarthy.

The whole defense.  I'm shocked at the value of the roster upgrades, and coaching wins.

This guy, though.  This guy.

I think this offense has more schemed "one-look" plays" misdirection that Lafleur thinks will fool the defense, but when it doesn't there is nowhere else to go with the ball.

There were several plays JA made today that were wow plays.  Again.

Great pick!

The offense needs to be better but in the 5 games their 3 opponents have played against other teams, there has been a total of 86 points scored. None of the other teams are scoring much against those defenses either.

CHASING HISTORY

Rodgers needs one passing touchdown to pass Fran Tarkanton for the ninth most in NFL history. Rodgers and Tarkanton are tied with 342 career touchdowns. Eli Manning is eighth with 362 career scores.

I'll be honest, outside of the sacks and turnovers by the defense, and the TD to Scandling, not a lot to be that happy about.  Tackling was as poor as I've seen in a long time.  3 drives by the Broncos that were 12+ plays.  Rodgers looked just awful on about half his drop backs - don't know if it's his or LeFleur's fault but too many plays with no chance of success.  Jones really didn't run that well.  O-line wasn't really that good.

Glad they got a win but they just don't look to be in sync.  There's a lot to improve on and maybe that's a good place to be at 3-0.

Like that MLF and Rodgers at least communicate on the sideline. They make a big deal of it when Rodgers and MLF bark at each other, but I'd rather have that than the cold shoulder treatment. They've got to hammer something out pretty soon, whether it's lack of options or getting rid of the ball or using more receivers or whatever. The homestand won't last forever and other teams in the division keep on winning...

Sacks and turnovers setup alot of our scoring. Our offense leads the league in punts and 3&outs. Love the defense, they are carrying us outside of great RB play.

DIsagree the offense is doing enough to win. The D is putting them in position time after time with short fields and more opportunities. the lack of big plays and consistency will bite us if we dont get that fixed. Theres just no flow outside of the scripted first drive(s) the last few weeks.

I loved Jamal Williams today, dudes passion was infectious. He ran with anger and punishment in mind, it was beautiful

Maybe MLF should let the OC call plays. I am not a fan of the HC also calling plays; having input, yes. HCs have enough to do without calling plays. They should be thinking big picture...

Deja vu all over again.

More Kumerow, Less Allison is the answer.

Seems that way. Didn't much like it when MM did it as well. Many times I think MLF calls too many of the same plays or same-looking plays. In the Vikings game for example the first 15 were awesome, but after that it looked like deja vu. Just prefer the HC let go and delegate. Then you also have someone else to blame.

+defense

i agree they looked soft against the run but they are basically playing nickel all the time.  The fact that the D didn’t cave after being on the field for so long is a testament that these guys are tough and a D to be reckoned with. If the offense ever gets its act together it’s just going to be better.

+ Williams

-play calls and series that looked worse than last few years under MM, it is early and I hope it turns around and i am wrong but am starting to wonder if MLF is any better than than MM

Yeah they gotta figure it out before they have Dallas and and KC. Defense just won’t bail us out of those games.

The title of the thread is positives and negatives. The offense looked bad. The d bent but didn’t break and loved the qb pressures and turnovers.

I wonder if running out of scripted plays play a role?

+ the win of course. The sacks and takeaways. Keeping Denver under 20 points.

- getting run on, the offense looked out of sync, Crosby’s miss, the fact that I could not watch the game.

Either Johnston or Meyers (I think it was Johnston) at some point said something like, "The Broncos need to get Sanders more involved soon."

I haven't dug in just yet, but I think there was a reason Sanders wasn't more involved, and that reason was #23.  Pretty sure he shut Sanders down.  2 catches for 10 yards or something.
