There was an injury chart from yesterday that said he was a full participant. Now MM says that he is not fully released. I guess he could be a full participant but not cleared fully.

Seems as if there is a disagreement on what exactly the 'full Monty' is in Green Bay.

This is wild ass speculation. But IMO Cobb, Adams, and Jones all look like guys you can press at the line and dictate the route release. At least enough to disrupt timing.

Ty looks like a guy that can get to his spot. Fast. And once a receiver breaks down a secondary there's a trickle down effect on rolling coverage. It forces the defense to react instead of dictating.

Doesnt excuse GBs spotty play everywhere else but this team needs a guy out wide that can attack a defense using his strength to start breaking down a secondary much faster.

Patriots are 27th in the league in rushing averaging less than 4 yards per carry on only 217 carries. Green Bay run offense is ranked 17.

Patriots have put the ball in the air almost double the number of runs. 4th ranked offense averaging 34 points per game. They pass to set up the pass.

GB issue right now is they have no identity. They are trying to do both so one helps the other. When you do neither well you get the last 6 weeks.

GB needs to pick a lane. I think that lane is through the air. I say this because they have Aaron Rodgers.

Starting to wonder if this season was just destined to go in the toilet.  Jordy is lost for the season; other wide receivers in various states of injury and disarray; wideouts pissed about criticism for not being able to get open; o-line pissed at reporters and not talking; and now Olivia Munn pissed at Packer fans for blaming her for ARod's subpar season.  This is drama usually reserved for the Cowboys.

@RobDemovsky: #Packers coach Mike McCarthy: No concern (about Aaron Rodgers' availability for Sunday). He looks good so far. Just came from the walkthru.

@Michael_Cohen13: McCarthy said Eddie Lacy looked good yesterday. A full padded practice today with team run and inside run sessions to test him.

Boom.

@Michael_Cohen13: McCarthy said he has spent the majority of his time this week with the offense.

@Michael_Cohen13: "Nothing has changed. Everybody's job description is exactly the same as when it was put together in the spring." - McCarthy on play calling.

Green Bay - The following is a summary of Packers coach Mike McCarthy's Thursday pre-practice press conference:

  • (On Rodgers ready for Sunday) No concern.
  • (On practice) He's banged up. He looks good so far. Just came from the walk-through.
  • (On offensive line) We're focused on offense as a whole to get better. Just to practice game plan and carry that over to the game. Not a one-position thing. We think we're a lot closer than you would think.
  • (On receivers getting pressed) I would say percentage is up. It’s something that you always see as a good passing offense. Defenses are going to line up and challenge your passing game. The fact there’s been some success, people are aware of it and people are taking about it.

  • (On whether he's taking a greater role with offense lately) I've spent the majority of my time this week with the offense.
  • (On whether the game-planning information still funnels to him) No, our structure has changed.
  • (On game-planning) Everything is the same. I try to be as responsive as I can to my players and my coaches.

Gronkowski has had at least one reception for over 25 yards in 8 of 9 games this year. Richard Rodgers long reception of the year is 25 yards. If those two guys switch teams, Brady would look much more mortal and we wouldn't be talking about Aaron Rodgers' slump.

Not true.

@Michael_Cohen13: WR Ty Montgomery dropped out of practice with an injury. He walked off with the trainers.

@TomSilverstein: When asked about WR Ty Montgomery on Wed, McCarthy said he hadn't been medically cleared despite practicing. Dropping out not a good sign.

@Michael_Cohen13: Jared Abbrederis was the only player not practicing. The offensive linemen were all back. Aaron Rodgers moved at full speed.

Some random letters:   xj;eipalkeja;ldkjfa;

some random thoughts:

-too bad about Abby.  I don't think he's going to be durable enough for the nfl.

-does not sound good about Monty.  That's a killer.

-I, too, think Perillo is better than advertised.  LET MY PEOPLE PLAY!

-For crying out loud, MM, put in Alonzo Harris to give us a 1-2 punch in the run gam e with Starks!

-I know the back shoulder to Jordy was money, but it was to JJ too.  JJ looked good the first few games, and he's done nothing lately.  However, I've also seen Arod miss guys by a lot, which as we all know is not normal.  I'd like to see them try that back shoulder to JJ some more.

-I know this is really outside the box thinking, but maybe it's time for that.   If our OL can't protect AR well enough, do we have some backup DL players who at 300 pounds-plus can at least plug a gap or twelve?

-If the game starts to go South, I hope MM will take over play calling.  Let's just SEE if it might make a difference.   How can we do worse?

Monty wasn't medically cleared yesterday, and we have yet to hear from MM today to say whether he has or has not been cleared medically today... yet he practiced (full) yesterday and today before walking off with the trainers.

Monty walking off with the trainers after practicing (full) does not mean he is still hurt, more hurt, hurt again - though it might. It could mean the medical staff wanted him to test the ankle on the field and then they were taking him to the training table to check the results with x-rays, scans, mobility tests.

Until proven to the contrary, I'm convinced this new guy Cohen is a chickenboy.

@jasonjwilde: #Packers WR Ty Mongtomery on ankle: "I wouldn't say it was a setback. I did a lot yesterday ... so it’s probably just a little aggravated."

@jasonjwilde: Listed as a limited participant yesterday, #Packers QB Aaron Rodgers practiced in full today, per the team's official injury report.

@Michael_Cohen13: Bakhtiari (knee), Bulaga (knee), Hyde (hip), Lang (shoulder), Matthews (ankle/knee), Montgomery (ankle), Sitton (knee) were limited.

@Michael_Cohen13: LB Jayrone Elliott (ankle) was new to the injury report. He was limited today.

I think Gronk would be a huge lose and that would funk them up.
