They will have their hands full on Sunday, a 5th rounder and a 4th rounder vs an elite first rounder. Run it right down his gullet boys....

I suggest replacing the 5th rounder with a certain 4th rounder. It'll make a world of difference.

Let's be fair, most of the haters were his founding fan club members 2 and a half months ago.

Aaron Rodgers is one the very best team mates ever in the history of  team sports. The things he does as a leader to welcome new players and help them feel comfortable and accepted on the team are nothing short of spectacular.

So riddle me this one:

Why do you suppose this honorable MVP is taking veiled shots in public  at the player who can't line up properly after two years in the system ?

So.... why can other UDFS's and 7th rounders line up correctly in year 2?    Nobody is asking him to be Jordy Nelson, were asking him to know the playbook and not be a detriment to the offense when called upon.   It's better to be invisible with zero production and zero talent than it is to be a buffoon with all the physical skills in the world who still can't line up correctly in year 2.

Rodgers has spoken on this topic and it's obvious that Janis is still struggling with the concepts of the offense.  No excuse for that in year 2.   If he was dropping passes and just failing to win against NFL talent, fine, I can accept that a 7th rounder isn't going to be a contributor.  That's not the case, dude doesn't even know the playbook.

Satori, you and others responded quite well to my original post on this yesterday. Bravo. But this is the real problem I have. 12 is showing little more than disdain for my boy Janis! in public and I don't think it suits the MVP well. Almost as if there is something else going on here. It's not a move we've seen him use before so frequently for a teammate.

I agree with your points about Rodgers being a good teammate and leader. Indeed, that is why this case just puzzles, and frankly, disappoints me. He has set the bar extremely high and I don't know why he's got the blade out here. Unless Boris' point is correct.

Lombardi School of Psychology...

You have to know which ones to scream at...and which ones to pat on the hinder.

I'm thinking Janis's  Wonderlic score doesn't transfer to the route tree...and he's more like "special ed" on the field.

But if you ever need to know what temp water boils at in Denver...he's your guy.

Agreed. Something isn't right here...

Aaron is uber-motivated this season and seems intolerant of those who aren't

Sense of urgency ?

You are wise Satori, but I really disagree with you on this. I'm sticking with the reckoning.

Seems to me it took Donald Driver, another 7th round wr, a few years to start being productive. So maybe Janis takes a bit longer to develop as well. Not saying Janis will eventually contribute like Driver, but I'm for giving him the chance at least until next years TC and season. I do think though that maybe Abby might get more opportunities this year than Janis as the season goes on.

Just one thing I dispute with your post. Jordy ain't white. Man goes deep. Just ask his wife.

My guess is he has the blade out because Janis is doing the minimum amount required of him while still making mental mistakes.  If #12 thought the kid was working as hard as he could to learn the system but just wasn't capable, I doubt he publicly scolds him.

he has high standards of work ethic, Janis isn't meeting them..  My guess at least.

If that's true then why is he active each game and getting offensive snaps (16 each of the past two games)?

How did he even make the 53? It's not like he was a high round pick that you're trying to recoup your investment in. If he's slacked off since then why doesn't Ted just cut him?

Ted and Mike getting soft in their dotage and giving slackers a roster spot and playing time?

Get serious.

Jeff Janis is holding this team back.  He is a cancer.  He is lazy.  He is the epitome of Tightwad Ted stocking the roster with no talent hacks instead of going to get experienced veterans that know how to play the game.  Could have gotten Greg Jennings.  Could have gotten Percy Harvin.  Could have gotten Jeremy Maclin.  But no, we dick around with this lazy POS Jeff Janis.  He's the reason we are 1-3 right now.

THANKSTED

Janis isn't lazy. He isn't a game changer. He isn't on Rodgers **** list. He isn't an underutilized weapon. He isn't a malcontent. He isn't holding this team back.

He might be able to help this team. He might not be an NFL WR.

Aaron Rodgers doesn't care what Jeff Janis might turn out to be. He has no time for such bull****.

Don't really believe that AR has been unduly critical of Janis or taken unnecessary shots at him. Why he's apparently struggling at the mental aspects of the game is a bit puzzling and until he cleans that up (assuming he's able to) he's not going to gain the trust of the QB. The real surprise is just how polarizing a player he's turned out to be.

TOG had a whipping boy, and rode his ass regularly.

Jeff Janis is like Bill Schroeder?

All I can say is Janis and Abby better be as prepared as they can be. Either or both of them could be called on literally at any snap if we have another injury at WR.

I may accept that either of them are slow learners, but I can't them being lazy/unmotivated. The WRs as a group have had a high standard for several years, and their coaches aren't going to let anyone slack off. If these guys are behind the curve on learning, Jordy should have some free time...

Janis wouldn't be the first guy to struggle to learn the teams offense - assuming that's his deal.  The guy could also be an arrogant prick for all we know.

Whatever the case, it's obvious to me that Rodgets is annoyed with the guy and that is unusual.  Thankfully we have Monty and Cobb and JJ that have lead the way.  Maybe Janis gets his act together or maybe he doesn't.  Not losing sleep over it and I doubt they are either

He's doing a good job on special teams and there is a void that is causing him to get playing time in WR sets, playing time he isn't capitalizing on.

Janis is falling into the Jamari Lattimore category.  Obviously they thought he'd be riding pine and developing this year.  Huge injury means everyone has to step up.  He's making a contribution on ST, not so much in the offense.  This is his year to develop.

The Boot learned the lesson on defense, it should be no different on offense.  You don't show development, you don't stay on the roster.

Maybe he'll be the next Bush on ST.  Great.  And I don't buy the DII excuses, this is the NFL.  Just because he went to a DII school doesn't mean he isn't working with some of the best coaches in the NFL.  It's not like he's wearing a hockey helmet out there because he went to a DII school.

AR appears to be to the point that he sees things as a coach would. He sees enourmus physical talent in Janis, but his mental mistakes drive AR crazy, which is no different than most coaches. As far as Abby goes, it seems that he has all the intangibles and skill to play but is a question mark due to; overall lack of strength (lowest bench press of any position his combine year), concussion history, & knee injury. If you could put the two together you would have a very good player.
