The comments about Nelson needing a few years to establish himself are a good point, but Nelson got 54 targets his rookie year, 31 in an injury-marred second year, and 64 in his third year. 149 targets in 3 years gives you an idea of whether a guy can play and it was pretty obvious by the end of the 3rd year (especially after the Super Bowl) that he was at least going to be a productive player.

Janis is in his 3rd year and has been targeted a total of 16 times in the regular season. Abbrederis is in his 3rd year and has been targeted 18 times. To know whether they are ever going to develop, they have to get some actual game reps. If you are three years in and haven't gotten any reps, why are they still here?

In Adams case, targets have not been the issue. He's already been targeted 188 times in 34 games. In the Detroit game last year, Adams was targeted more times (21) than either Abbrederis or Janis has been targeted in their careers.

The baffling thing is that the level of negligence for only carrying 2 RBs that can carry the ball on the roster is pretty high (especially when one is 30 years old and injury prone) when they are carrying 7 receivers. Two of which they've been carrying for 3 years that for whatever reason can't get some snaps from a guy who by some measures was the least productive WR per target in the NFL last year. Last year on passes to Adams the YPA was 5.1. That's awful. If Abby and Janis aren't good enough to take at least some of Adams' snaps, then cut them and keep an actual NFL level RB. If they are good enough the keep, then play them.

No source for the article, just sounds like a writer saying he would do it if he were TT.....but we all know, no one is TT

You just can't make this stuff up:

"According to Cleveland.com, Joe Haden is suffering from a groin injury and he missed the Browns’ 28-26 loss to the Tennessee Titans this week."

Do we need Joe to compare groin injuries with Damarious & Quinten?
