Satori, thanks for mentioning Reggie. One of the best examples of veterans that come to the Packers with that extra bit of motivation to reach the ultimate goal in their profession. I see some parallels to another Packer who should continue to push harder as we move up. Julius Peppers, which may be why he's a team captain. When the going gets tough, you will see these types of players step up their game as they know there may be no "next year".

I'm going to enjoy this game for what it is.  Apparently this version of the Buccaneers  is so utterly superior just the transitive property alone has demoted the Packers to a division 3 college squad.  Has the point spread hit 20 yet?

Keys to beating Seattle.

1. Control their running game. This means Burnett is at the line of scrimmage to control Lynch and not letting Wilson go Kaepernick on us.

2. Don't give Seattle any short fields. This means the special teams have to play to at least a draw and avoiding turnovers.

3. Win in the red zone. Surprisingly given Lynch's presence, Seattle is not a great red zone team. They're ranked 21st in TD percentage.

4. Make their safeties cover someone. Chancellor is a great safety, but he's beatable in coverage due to a lack of speed. Adams, Quarless, R. Rodgers, and maybe even Boykin have to win their matchups in the middle of the field.

I like that Holmgren link from earlier. I've soured on Holmgren because of his ego and endless self promotion for all these coaching and non-coaching opportunities. But the man sure could find the weakness of the D and attack it. I'll always remember that '97 NFC championship game vs. the 49ers when the Pack came out and attacked Woodson right out of the gate. You just knew they would win that game after that opening drive.

I know the book says to hammer Lacy at them and protect Rodgers. But I think that's what Seattle is expecting, and I think that pass d has been lulled to sleep by playing mediocre QBs for 2+ months, I personally would like to see the Pack come out the first couple of series with a wide open attack and tell the MVP of the league to do his thing. Once you have them on their heels, then you bring in the battering ram and show this team is tough too.

Capers better step up this week. They got the win and created that key turnover + some timely sacks, but that masks a sub-par performance by the D. Four incompletions by Romo in the game with many wide open, easy tosses, and Murray started to gash them. Peppers doesn't make that play, Murray runs for 180 yards and two scores on us. He better come up with a better gameplan this week.

Seattle's undefeated record at home is unbelievable isn't it! Has it reached 50 games yet?

Seattle deserves to be favored and it will be a tough game but let's actually play the game.

I think I want this win more to piss on Dallas than the 2014 Seattle Buccaneers.

Kudos BJ. That is pretty damn efficient fu**ing it up.

Some of us think chess is simplistic compared to go.

(BTW, Boris, what's the deal with the software automatically changing open parentheses in links to open square btackets?)

Football Zebras exclusive Football Zebras has confirmed that Tony Corrente and Walt Anderson will be the referees for the conference championship games. Corrente will have the NFC game between the Packers and Seahawks; Anderson will be heading the crew for the AFC title match between the Colts and the Patriots.

Disagree.

Let's cut the BS....if Seattle DOESN'T play a perfect game vs. Green Bay, they WILL get blown out of their OWN stadium.

Seattle is lucky Rodgers isn't 100%

If you look at the Seattle offense, is there a single player that is significantly better than the Packers player at the equivalent position? Most pundits would say Lynch but there's not that much a difference with Lacy. Other than that, you'd be limited to Okung at LT and maybe Unger at C (although I'd still take Linsley). Willson and Quarless are probably a wash at TE. The Packers are clearly better at QB, both WRs, RG, LG, and LT.

QB Wilson; RB Lynch; TE Luke Willson; WR Kearse; WR Richardson

LT Okung; LG Carpenter, C Unger, RG Sweezy; RT Britt

Does that offense look like it should blow anyone out? Seattle deserves to be favored, but a 7.5 point spread is way too much.

The hubris is hilarious.

At least they aren't booking tickets in April like Spermhead fans every single year.

RODGERS (on calf): “It’s good. No better. It’s doing OK. I think a lot of people are tired of it. I’m tired of talking about it.”

@coreybehnke

Aaron Rodgers just said Richard Rodgers may have the best hands on the team... wow

Man, that was some horrid ILB play with him and Hawk that week

By far the worst that menagerie of fail for 3.5 years produced.

I'll add another thing, the communication and truckload of stupid mistakes, piss poor play implementation, etc. had as much to do with that debacle.  That was a whole team effort to **** the bed.  Amateur crap deserving of the Norvening.

Another change this time around

HHCD has more experience. He had some missed tackles(most notably on that TD pass Wilson had to Lockette I think) but the rookie's play has improved as the season has gone on

Maybe MM was pulling a Belichick and keeping all the good stuff hidden for the inevitable rematch?
