Just this sentiment that these are “exciting” times... guys are getting fired. I just don’t think that is in itself worthy of excitement.

It’s exciting because we finally get to see the end of the Dom era. With what these guys get paid, I’m not too worried about their families starving. A breadwinner in Appalachia losing a job? Now that’s someone I feel sorry for.

Not sure I get the “excitement” of these changes... I mean yeah, we all agree the current regime has run its course, but these next moves have to be winners or the team loses it greatest QB ever...

I'm excited as hell. Because right now, change means no more of the status quo that hasn't been working. Complacency had set in, and things badly needed a shake up. This shows everybody in the organization that there will be accountability.

I'm confident that the right men will be joining the franchise. I feel like a kid on Christmas morning, excited by what might be wrapped up under the tree.

I don’t know if the “right guys” will be joining GB, but I do know that the job is an attractive one. Lots of youth, stable organization, AR... what’s not to like? Lots of resumes to choose from.

I’m not saying the change wasn’t necessary- I’m with you on that. I just think that the uncertainty isn’t something to be excited about. There is a possibility that the organization will go into a complete tailspin if they F this up.

And this is why “excited” is not how I feel.

I think what some think is that if the new blood don't do things correctly, there is a chance Rodgers could bail to a team that looks like they are making the right moves to win.  Not implausible.

Probably, but you never know.  Remember Brett Favre, Packer 4 Life?

Obviously they are nothing alike, but no guarantees that Rodgers stays if things aren't going in the right direction.

Entirely implausible.  First, he has two years left on his contract.  Next, even if he doesn't sign, the Packers can franchise him for the average of the top 5 QB's, which is what they would pay him anyway.

Fire MM!  Damn it, he doesn't coach speed!

Seriously, this is further evidence that moving on from TT was a good decision.  The roster he assembled was deficient in a number of respects - speed, veteran leadership, etc.

Truth be told, if Rodgers has made anyone look better over the years, it's Thompson.  McCarthy has been working with a limited roster for years.

ZZZZZZ......Browns, Bears, Chargers in the top 10. Do they get a prize ?

Packers 2 fastest wide-outs are on the bench - Janis and Davis - and rightfully so.

Would like to know if they look at "every pass play in the N.F.L. this season through Week 16, and then average the top speed of each receiver across all of those plays" .....wouldn't playing on a slow track, snow, mud, etc....have an impact on the outcome versus teams that play in a roller-rink ?

The Packers haven't been running many go routes with Hundley at the helm.  So what exactly are they measuring?  If the numbers are route type dependent, then they may not be a good indicator of WR group speed.

I know guys & gals ....

When Rodgers is QB'ing why do I ALWAYS see Jordy streaking by someone & not getting caught?

Track speed vs. game speed

Probably because the DB covering him know's the ball will doink off his frying pan hands anyway.  Why bother covering him?

Says the guy whose 1st round draft choice caught exactly 2 passes in 2015.  A guy they traded a 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 7th to acquire.  And those traded away draft choices will help beat them in the Superb Owl if they even get that far.
