Brady is the Bart Starr of our era. Limited physically. Leader. Unmatched will to win.

Unmatched will to win? Just stop. Stop. Stop! **** just stop.

Atlanta just gave a Lombardi away. Just straight up gave one away. That is the worst Super Bowl loss ever.

True. But don't diminish what Brady just did. They needed 5 straight scores to win. He got them.

For the records, I really like Mike McCarthy as the Packers' coach.  I really hope he figures out how to win another Super Bowl.

That being said, this is sort of fitting:

McCarthyism:

noun
1. The practice of making accusations of disloyalty, especially of pro-Communist activity, in many instances unsupported by proof or based on slight, doubtful, or irrelevant evidence.
2. The practice of making unfair allegations or using unfair investigative techniques, especially in order to restrict dissent or political criticism.
3. The practice of finding a way to choke away a huge lead and lose in a professional football championship-level game.

This is the biggest choke of all time.  New England certainly got assistance from the refs today as well.  Three straight 3rd down defensive holding calls (when has that ever happened?) that resulted in a field goal early in the game.  9 penalties for atlanta, 4 for New England.   Atlanta also had to waste a timeout when Ryan's headset in his helmet failed.  Having a timeout after NE tied it would have been huge.

Despite the refs Atlanta still had the game.  First off was the fumble.  It was 28-9 at that point I think, and while they held NE to a field goal it allowed them to get their offense in gear.  Another quick TD and it was 28-20.  Still, Atlanta could have sealed the deal and they failed, miserably.  After the Jones catch they had 2nd and 11 from the 23 yard line with less than 4 minutes left, clock running.  All they needed to do was run the ball 2 more times, kick the field goal and plan the trip to Disney World.  They'd have been up by 11 and New England would have had the ball with 3:30 left with no timeouts.

I blame the horrible play calls late rather than Matty Puddles.  Just call 3 running plays, kick the field goal to go up 11 and you probably win 9 times out of 10.

Instead, they drop back and have the brutal sack. They complicate matters by then having a holding call the next play.  It probably should have been offset by the facemask they didn't call on New England, but whatever.

Once New England won the coin toss it was over.

The SB hangover will hit them hard and they probably won't even make the playoffs next year.  This was their year and they blew it, in epic fashion.  Kinda like GB in 2014 but much, much worse.  Worst choke ever, even Viking fans are laughing.

That's the point, DH. Brady has done this comeback thing in Super Bowls for forever. He just gets dialed in. Montana was the same way but had a far better surrounding cast. Bart is still my all time clutch QB but don't be putzing Brady. Not after what he just did.

I'm sorry but no.  You don't need to be "dialed in" to hit open receivers.  It helps when the other team forgets how to play because they panicked.  Brady had zero pressure on the last two drives and hit open guys.  I am now ready to crown Brady's ass as goat but let's not pretend he did anything any average passers couldn't do on the last couple drives.

I wish that were to be true but ATL is really young on D.  You could even chalk up their choking to that youth.  Also pretty young on O.  They'll be fine.  Matty choke on the other hand could have a harder time getting over this one.

Your opinion, fine. My opinion is that he had to be practically perfect as did his WRs. 25 points down and barely a quarter left. Atlanta put the game there to be taken and Brady grabbed it by the throat. If you are trying to tell me that average quarterbacks in this setting will do that well I guess the league MVP is below average. And that average QBs will respond under pressure the way Brady has since he came into the league. Whatever.

Brady played like **** for 3 quarters and still wins.  He did nothing out of the ordinary outside of not folding.  The passes he completed were always to pretty open receivers.  But when you're good for that long I guess you can just tag that on to your legend.

not to mention tossing at least 5 balls that are routine INT's but somehow didn't get picked.
