Monty's blocking wasn't there or developed too late. Da Bears won't be a pushover. Don't underestimate them! Our D needs to show up to pressure Glennon and stop Howard from taking over the game from scrimmage.

Ty did a really good job helping out on pass rush on GERONIMO 72 yarder in OT. Can't give up a sack on a free play. Agree that he needed to put a foot in the ground and run the ball. Too much dancing yesterday.
Would be great to Daniels and Bak back.
On that free play, you can hear Rodgers (I believe) yell "he go, we get 'em", or something like that.
Bakhtiari would be the biggest return, IMO. Floyd is really turning into a pass rushing terror. With Cohen in the game I'm guessing we'll see a lot of "Nitro".
It's 94-94-6 all time in the series. We finally tied it last year for the first time since 1933. The Bears have had the lead on us since then. They had a 24 game lead on us in 1992 so it took 25 seasons, and a lot of butt kickin' to erase that to dead even.
This is likely to be a game they will have to win ugly. Neither team will have any time to prepare much new stuff, so it may come down to whether the Nitro defense can continue to hold up against the run.
I watched the end of the Chicago-Pittsburgh game yesterday. Howard was in and out of the game all 4th quarter - his right shoulder appeared to be pretty banged up.
This will come down to whichever team handles the idiocy of scheduling 2 NFL games within 4 days.
who's Howard's little speed demon backup that had that big run too? that guy possibly scares me more than Howard.
The "Human Joystick" Tarik Cohen. Guy I brought up during last years pre-draft. He's special. Howard's pretty good too.

Same here. Howard when he is completely healthy is a handful but it is players like Cohen that seem to give the Packers fits.

Playing against his former team would be a good time for Bennett to come out of his funk and show some production in the passing game.
8-9 in the box and swarm to Howard, contain backside with Cohen. Can't over pursue. Bears wide receivers had 9 yards receiving yesterday. Make Mike Glennon beat you.
If you get out early on them they can't catch up, ala Tampa Bay game. But if they run it and play solid defense, they stick around.

I believe in it too, but I have little faith in Dom's ability to control any passer above middle school level.
Andy Dalton looked like Tom freaking Brady a few times yesterday.
Fortunately, Daltons deep passes suck worse than Favres. Or we'd be lamenting another Lambeau loss.
Stop the run, make Glennon beat you. Should be the mantra of the day. Also, let's get a lead on our little brother to the south. I doubt they can come back if they're in a deep hole. Plus we should see a few mistakes come our way too.

Another interesting tidbit on Packers/Bears rivalry.
Obviously, they have faced each other more than anyone with 194 games.
However, since they didn't play at all in the strike season of 1982, they do not have the longest continuous rivalry.
Most consecutive seasons playing at least once is Bears/Lions who have met every year since 1930. But, they missed a game in the 1987 week 3 strike.
Most consecutive seasons playing a series vs each other is Packers/Lions who have met home/away every year since 1932.
Finally, fukk the bears.

With an OL like this, Rodgers has to get rid of the ball to his first open guy or risk life and limb. Running game? Probably scarcer than dinosaurs.

Would not be surprised to see the Packers go run-heavy in the 1st quarter / 1st half. Maybe gives the O-line a chance to attack versus protect.
I actually wouldn't be surprised to see that either, PackVA. But unless the Bears lie down on the job, I can't see it being very successful. And if GB gets down, they'll have to scrap it anyway. I guess I should have clarified that I am expecting our total run yardage to be scarce, about 55 yards in total with AR having 15 of that!

About the only healthy position group is WR. Maybe "healthiest group" is more accurate. Adams, Jordy, Cobb, Allison, Davis, and Janis! are all expected to go tomorrow. Cobb is a little dinged up but he should play a lot of snaps.
Gotta think GB is going to put the ball in the air a lot early on.
