I actually think the D at times was pretty good.  When they failed, it's easy to point at great depth that has been not only depleted but shredded.

For the O.

I can't.  I just can't.  I have been an optimist for a long time through thick and thin... but right now...

just no.

Get your **** together 12 and MM.

Cave is one of the most optimistic Packers fan I know of.  To hear this from my Bud, is big!  And I agree.

I do not like to drink when in a bad mood, so I am optimistic that I will be drinking less this season.

Seriously, yeah, I hope AR pulls his head out of his...and we can get back to being spoiled again.  I also hope Jordy gets out of his funk.  Still a young season.

Ya...this is the best I can do, man.  I'll stay out of this thread until the Packers pour some more water in my glass.

If the weather is good, I'd like to see a passing game that generates more than 300 yards and puts the game away in the 3rd quarter. Lacy is not going to be able to give you 30 carries on 4 days rest and there is no other RB available that's going to scare anybody.

It's been 14 games since they've exceeded 300 yards. In 2011, Rodgers AVERAGED 310 yards per game.

If they get beat by a terrible Bears team QB'd by Cutler or Hoyer in Lambeau Field it will really be time to push the panic button. The Bears might be the worst team in the league. They're 1-5 and have lost to Houston, Indy, and Jacksonville.

I will never root/cheer for a Packers loss or failed season, but maybe, just maybe that's what this team needs.  If this season implodes, it would make sense that we could clean house from a coaching standpoint.  Lacy to IR means we can get him for a discount.  We can actually draft in early part of the draft for once.  We still have the nucleus for a great team but we need to add a few pieces and coaches.

Right now thinking this is an 8-8 team is optimistic.

P.S., I miss your boobs.

I'm feeling "cautiously optimistic" at the moment.  They really do need a majority of those injured guys to get healthy and they can't afford injuries on the O-Line from this point forward unless a guy like Corey Linsley can return.

Just think of the guys missing right now Matthews, Cobb, Montgomery, Cook, Shields, Randall, Rollins, Linsley... that's a lot of talent that is not out there.  Get most of that back and I think they should be in pretty good shape to make a playoff run.

If they are able to make the playoffs, the Packers are much better off playing on the road. It's not likely they are going to beat someone in a game where the weather is a major factor since they have no running game at this point. Their only hope is an almost 31 year old career back up returning from an injury (Starks). Ripkowski may work in small doses, but he's a blocking FB. Cobb and Monty are both dinged up already and are not going to be effective running between the tackles for more than 8-10 carries a game. There is no TE to get yards over the middle and the slot back type plays with Cobb or Monty work better when they have a good surface to cut on.

Get on the road and play in a dome at Atlanta or Dallas.

I'll say this. The overall quality of play in the NFL this year resembles a clogged toilet. I've never seen this much ****ty football after six weeks.

The team that squares up the best by week 12-13 is capable of just about anything.

If no team really stands out, it usually comes down to which QB is hot. I'll go with Brady in the AFC.

In the NFC, I would go with Matty Ice, Wilson, and Rodgers. Do you really trust Dak Prescott or Sam Bradford in the playoffs?

Seattle isn't going anywhere with that OL. And that's assuming what's left of their OL stays healthy the rest of the way.

I'll take GB in ATL in January if it comes to that. Dallas can do some damage in January with that OL and Zeke. That guy is terrifying. Wonder if he hits the rookie wall as the carries add up though.

I always liked Lovie, thought he fielded top notch defenses and special teams units.  He was just never able to develop a QB.  I've been critical of Dom but I think he's doing the best he can this year with what he has.  CMIII has been in and out of the lineup and he hasn't had his top 3 CBs in weeks.  Can't imagine many DCs excelling with those injuries.

But none of those players are on IR, so all could be back for a playoff run (although I'm skeptical about Shields).  Shades of 2010 when when they struggled through injuries only to get healthy at the right time.

ok, if I hear "but, but, bu,t 2010!!!11"   one more time Im gonna go insane

Every time we have struggles the last 6 years , people always chime in with

some abstract reference to the fact that we also struggled in the middle of the 2010 season. How long to we get to use the "Relax everyone, we were missing 7 starters in week 8 of 2010 and lost a nailbiter. I see the same SB run happening with this group"

Though I know it can get much worse. My college basketball teams fans keep referencing the miracle run of '83 looking for similarities to keep the faint hope alive... smfh

Its all on 12, MM and Dom what happens from here. We have to be the aggressor, and aside from the chip we carried in 2010 ( see what I did there?),MM just doesnt have it.

Rodgers has to be the leader from here on out. I think he can do it

I hope he realizes that the two 3rd quarter drives went away from what worked the other 3 quarters.

McCarthy with another strategic gem. Go away from success to open the 2nd half- to 11 group and run conventional sets - with no ****ing RB.

More surprising was the fact that Atlanta opened the game in zone. The rest of the league knows how to play the Packer WR's. Atlanta changed to man in the 3rd quarter, suddenly the Packer offense looked familiar----stymied.
