You were a player--three girls!
I can't believe some people can't hit edit instead of quoting themselves just to add something. Shameless posting to add to totals.
Disagree.
A sign of a confident QB who trusts LaFleur's system:
Even when Aaron Rodgers’ passer rating slipped to 95.4 in 2019, he was prolific on schedule. The problem: only 58% passes were on schedule. A quarter were extended.
— Ryan Wood (@ByRyanWood) September 25, 2020
Rodgers was on schedule 70% first 2 games, same as 2011.
The benefit of a quick release: https://t.co/rd8AJl2VLg
Wanted this to happen this year but I wasn't exactly 100% confident that it would.
If he keeps this clean his career longevity will be extended. Hard to injure a QB who's not getting hit. Brees seemed to understand that long ago.
All eyes then turn to the defense.
Holy crap!!!!
Aaron Rodgers' passer rating when targeting his top 3 WRs to start 2020:
— Zach Kruse (@zachkruse2) September 21, 2020
Davante Adams: 140.0
Marquez Valdes-Scantling: 123.9
Allen Lazard: 153.7
So what that says is Rodgers shouldn't pass to MVS?
Looks like those receivers are constantly bailing him out.

Welcome back, 12.

And that's with Adams dropping a TD pass and MVS dropping at least two long throws.

Lazard is also 6th the NFL in yards per target (minimum of 9 targets) so far. 12 yards per target. That number was pretty good for him last year, too. 28th in the NFL in 2019 at 9.2.
Loved the way Lizard stumbled on that bomb against the Saints, yet he never wavered in concentration and managed to haul it in. He's a player.
That was really impressive. Imagine if MVS had those kind of skills. He would be a poor man's Moss.
If that was MVS the ball would've bounced off his head or the clubs on the end of his arms.
Imagine if Lazard had MVS' speed.....
Right now I wish he had MVS's core muscles.
SCHISM!!!!

Rodgers is great on McAfee's show - AJ Hawk smokes??
https://sports.yahoo.com/aaron...-race-154102053.html
On draft day 2005, after he’d just sat for five humiliating hours in a green room, Rodgers prepared at last to walk onstage to greet then-commissioner Paul Tagliabue as the newest member of the Green Bay Packers. Just before he got there, Merton Hanks, a former Pro Bowl defensive back, caught Rodgers and whispered in his ear.
“I played my whole career with a chip on my shoulder,” Hanks said. “You should do the same.”
You know what happened next. Rodgers sat behind the will-he-retire-already Brett Favre for three years, seething all the while. When Rodgers finally did start, it was for a less-than-middling 6-10 Packers team. But once he got his feet under him, Rodgers led the Packers to eight straight playoff appearances, including a Super Bowl victory and two MVPs.
Mike Greenberg was giving Rodgers lots of love today on his radio show. Said it was too bad he had to play for a team where the front office had no idea what to do.
ESPN will only hire you if you are clueless.

today is the 1st time i have watched that show. Pat is so amped up he looks like he took a mixer of mountain dew and Red Bull with a syringe of speed if you take it that way. The guy had me jumping around
So where are the people who stated that without question AR has declined and the rest of us were too blind to see it? We need to track them down and administer consequences of the mob's choosing. Would the guilty parties please respond to this post? Thank you to all. LOVE!!!
Love,
Dr. Bob
I have never put forward an opinion here on anything.
I've yet to be proven wrong.
I have never put forward an opinion here on anything.
At least, not one worth reading.
I said he needs to play within the system and stop winging it off his back foot. If that makes me guilty, I’m ready for my spanking.
I was not shy pointing out last year that his production had fallen off. Because it had. His performance 2015 to 2019 had declined materially from his performance 2008-2014. I didn't say he sucked or would never be good again, but his performance declined.
I've long railed that the system MM had was stale, stagnant, and predictable as hell and that was doing no favors whatsoever for AR. "We do what we do"
I've argued that lack of talent at WR wasn't helping. While it sure doesn't seem as critical now that AR and MLF are in sync... When he was in MM's crappy system or wasn't aligned with MLF it was a problem!
And last year it didn't seem like AR and MLF were on the same page. AR looked pissed off most the time. The offense felt like a grind more often than not.
But yes. I pointed out that his numbers had declined for 5 years. But, go ahead and point/laugh or tar/feather if you want.
Thing is? AR himself agreed.
Here's a quote of his from 9/3/20.
“Just taking a critical look at my play the last few years, and then going back to some previous years about when I felt like I was playing really, really well,” Rodgers said. “What was I doing slightly different then what I have been doing the last five years? I picked up on some things and I tried to start incorporating them into my daily routine. You pair that with a positive attitude and a comfort in the offense, I think it’s not surprising how the camp has gone.”
And, AR also recognized that needed to fully embraces the MLF system
@packerboi posted:Aaron Rodgers has fully embraced all the pre-snap motion in Matt LaFleur's offense: "For a long time here I didn't want any motion and Mike didn't like motion ... For us, it is a part of our offense. It's all about stressing the defense pre-snap."
Rob Demovsky, ESPN Staff Writer
Like I said when I first read this quote when packerboi posted it - that seems like an enormously big change in AR! Results thru 4 games confirms it!
So, sure, if people were saying AR was washed up and will never be good again that was dum, but I don't think many/any were really in that space.
Many, including myself, did point out that he had declined vs his otherworldly numbers and vs the rest of the NFL. Aaron Rodgers agreed and looked at film to make changes, as well as embracing MLFs system.
And, it's been wonderful to watch. I hope in 6-7 years we will all look back at 2015-2019 and marvel at a 36 year old AR making changes mid career, embracing a completely new system, and bookending the greatest QB career of all time...
