Chester Marcol! Chester Marcol! Chester Marcol!
On this date in 1936 the #Packers won their first of 13 championships. Don Hutson caught a 48-yd TD in the first 3 minutes, and the #Packers never trailed.

Send that to all the Queenie fans that still argue that Minnesota has always been the better franchise.
'36 wasn't the first Championship, but it was their first won in a playoff game. Their 3-peat in '29-31 were all awarded as end of season champs.

Lindsey Nelson on the play call.
102 years ago tonight, on Aug. 11, 1919, the #Packers were organized in the @gbpressgazette offices on Cherry Street on downtown Green Bay. As a veteran of the Packers history beat, here's hoping more young historians come along and keep telling those stories.

love the history of the Packers. We don't just go way back, we've been winning championships since way back. After quite a few " Spotted Cows " I tell myself I could have played for the Packers 100 years ago.
I'm heading to Wisconsin this week, and plan on drinking my weight of Spotted Cows .
That's 133 beers per hundredweight, T'bird.
I recommend taping your insurance card to your forehead when you get here.

Goldie, this will be the first time in about 15 years my whole family will be together, which I know is very special for my parents who are in their 80's. Not too many of these opportunities remaining.

So by my count, football teams representing Green Bay have 19 championships!
And apparently Rodgers family (great grandpa in the middle there) have two.
That dude in the front center is way too small to play in today's NFL
Johnny Z would be that dudes number one fan

I wonder what those guys would wear when they would wear their "throwback" jerseys?
Wait, is that Russel Wilson in that pic?
I knew he was a time-traveling alien!
Shoot, there's a lot of famous people in that pic.
Pretty sure that is Tim Allen and John Belushi at far right, second row from top.
Next row down is Charlie Sheen, Mark Harmon, Aaron Rodgers and Wilmer Valderrama.

Their civil war uniforms?
They all look so baby-faced.
Year taken?

Probably was signed by a relative of Bill Veeck, former White Sox boss, who signed a "midget" because it really screwed up the strike zone, for opposing pitchers.
I recognize Kostelnic, Starr and Nitschke, not sure of the others.

I remember watching this game with my friend, who is a bears fan. What a fun finish!!

The other two I think are Taylor and Hornung.
I figured you were hot and bothered by the sauna pic.
It happened yesterday, technically, but got lost in the weekend.
101 years ago, the Packers played their first NFL game, beating the Minnesota Marines 7-6.
