The darker skinned fellow is Tom Skenandore, an Oneida native American and a member of a large family with roots in GB history.
βSkenandoreβs journey to the Green Bay lineup had taken a decidedly different course. Like other Native kids of the era, heβd been shipped off to Carlisle Indian boarding school and force-fed the white manβs ways. Heβd also learned the game of football. Carlisle would later become much-celebrated as the football home of Pop Warner and Jim Thorpe.
βSkenandore was such a powerhouse at running back that his teammates determined to pay him $20 a game β making him the only paid player and the first professional football player in GB history.β

it's hard to win in the nfl. they went 15-1 the following season. injuries (collins, williams), departures (jenkins), age (woodson) and poor drafting gutted the defense.
in trying to fix the defense, they ignored the offense and it finally caught up with them
now they have a defense that is loaded with high picks but still sucks, a 39-year old qb and a shortage of talent on offense.
it's a depressing situation

One of the zaniest endings to an NFL game
Later admittedly being high on cocaine, #Packers kicker Chester Marcol collects his own blocked FG attempt and scampers 25 yards for a TD, lifting Green Bay to a 12-6 opening day OT victory over Chicago at Lambeau. pic.twitter.com/n2PYyg0p5P

Today would have been Bart Starr's birthday. He would have 90 years old.
In 16 NFL seasons, all spent with the @Packers, QB Bart Starr won five NFL Championships, including Super Bowl MVP honors in both Super Bowls I and II.
