The Packers must have played a game on this date at some point in history.
So therefore they must have won a game on this date at some point in history.

On October 17th, one of the funnest games I've ever watched took place
The MNF barnburner vs the Washington team 48-47 Packers win

On this date in 2009 Donald Driver broke Sterling Sharpe’s franchise record for career receptions.
"Rams general manager Don Klosterman used Green Bay's first-round pick of 1975 (No. 9 overall) to select defensive lineman Mike Fanning, who gave the team eight solid seasons. Klosterman used the remaining picks from the trade to assemble the core of Los Angeles' secondary for the next few seasons: Monte Jackson, Pat Thomas and Nolan Cromwell (via a trade using another of Green Bay's picks). With the rest of its picks in those two drafts, Los Angeles shored up its offensive line by drafting OG Dennis Harrah and OTs Doug France and Jackie Slater."

Dennis Harrah and Jackie F'in Slater could've been Packers!!!
The win was over the team from Minneapolis.
hard to categorize how that particular play made me feel at the time. I can still watch it over and over and over again.
The heave to Freeman is a classic. My favorite part is watching Dishman make a fool of himself...
Boris, I am right there with ya! Frustrating to watch Wallace play.
I remember the catch well, but what was the goof Sherman made that this catch made up for?
This surprised me considering the prolific passing offenses the Packers have had the past 30 years (Dickey, Majik, Favre, Rodgers).
Hall of Fame HB Johnny "Blood" McNally was born on this date in 1903. One of the more colorful characters in Packers lore.
On this day in 1986 the Packers won a Thanksgiving Classic 44-40, clinching it w/ an 85-yard punt return TD by Walter Stanley with :40 left.
And Ron Wolf was hired OTD in 1991. Bob Harlan said that they met over dinner at Denny's a few years earlier and he formed his opinion then.
Huh, I don't even remember McMahon on the Browns.
Vikings, Eagles and Chargers, yes.
I see he played for the Cards too now that I looked it up. Never appeared in a game for the Browns.
Sad to say Jim doesn't remember most of those stints.......
On this date in 2013 the Packers got their ass handed to them by the Lions.
And I was at that game, That was the first and last time I saw brent play live. It turned out to be a good thing
When was the last time the endzone stands looks so empty DURING a game (as in photo # 1)???

Next week?
quote:The NFL held its draft OTD in 1957. In the first four rounds the Packers selected Dan Currie, Jim Taylor, Ray Nitschke and Jerry Kramer.
And they were all injured.....
Thanks again for posting these, H5!
Love blasts from the past.
And this should still be on front page, IMHO.

They closed down the roads because of the blizzard, no one could get there unless they walked. Some fans actually got there on snowmobiles. Nowadays, they'd probably just reschedule the game, like they did with that Vikings-Eagles Sunday night game that was played on a Tuesday a few years ago.
On this day in 1987: 49ers QB Joe Montana completed his first 17 passes against the Packers on a 33-degree day at Lambeau Field. He also ran 10 yards for this second-quarter touchdown. The 49ers won 23-12. Randy Wright was the Packers' starting QB that day.
Looks like one fan had a bad case of precognition.
Must have been Old Timers day if Maxie the Taxi played....
Ha Shoeless.... Fullwood?
That would be my guess H5.
Dec, 8th, 2013 - EA Releases Alternate 'Madden 25' Cover Featuring...

December 10, 1939.
The Packers defeated the Giants 27-0, winning the NFL Championship and giving the Packers their 5th title. The game was played at the Wisconsin State Fair Park in West Allis.
how could they win their first title in '36 and their 5th in '39?
From the Packers website:
Got it, thanks for the clarification.
