The inexplicable penalty hitting the receiver in the head is the difference between the Vikings kicking a field goal, and getting a touchdown, on their second to last drive of the game. Just an inexcusably dumb thing to do. McCarthy couldn't believe it.

Penalty he drew was a big game changer. Took the FG away from the Vikes and gave them a TD.

This was the worst game I've seen Williams play. He totally sucked. Did he defense one pass. He looked like a scared little girl out there, hesitating instead of attacking Pederson.

He was worthless today. He didn't cover, tackle and he trash talked himself into getting a stupid penalty at the wrong time in the game.

Team loss that Tramon was part of and that's it. AWFUL tackling by the entire D on Peterson and that's what won the game for them and nobody could argue that. Tramon had the penalty but what was MM thinking with the challenge flag. You would think he would know the rules.

Awful tackling technique by the defense lost the game today. Woodson would not have made a difference because I don't think his shoulder is ready yet.

The challenge flag had no bearing on the game. Williams penalty did. What peeves me is he wouldn't hit anybody that actually had a football in their hand but did on the other side of the field with the ball no where near.

Maybe this week Sam Shields can comment on Tramon's tackling.

I have much less of an issue with guys that TRY to make a tackle and get beat. There were two very obvious plays today that williams stayed engaged with the blocker long enough to avoid having to tackle ap. Then he would run along behind the play making it look kike he was trying. Then he behaves like a b on a play and costs them tremendously.

I've been saying that Williams wants no part of contact for some time now & many on the forum disagree. Until ALL of our DB's WANT to tackle, our defense will not be elite.

It didn't cost us but could have. How could a head coach not know that you don't challenge a turnover? Brain fart, I guess, but he is the one in charge. Oh well, he hasn't had too many stupid challenges this year like in the past so I guess he's due.

Williams has been playing like a pussy for most of the season. He seems to play when he feels like it. He is a very good CB but the coaches need to get on his ass.

He's a finesse cover CB. He's not anywhere near where Woodson and Nick Collins were as physical DB's. That's one thing this secondary lacks. They need a roaming DB who lay the wood.

i've always been a huge Tramon fan. But today he royally pissed me off. Playing the way he played, scared and gutless, then to take a shot at someone like that on 3rd and goal.

I believe the shoulder is still a factor. He just does not want to tackle and the Vikings knew it. But that had nothing to do with that horrible penalty that turned a FG into TD.

IIRC after the Viking game at Lambeau, the NFLN showed "Soundtracks" from the game and the Vikes players and coaches were joking with AP on the sidelines saying "#38 don't want nothin' to do with you".

Tramon had a very bad game, but he's had a very good season. He rarely draws flags and passing plays are usually away from his side of the field. He'll get a chance at redemption in 6 days.
