Actually don't care if the Vikes win today.  Might even prefer it.  Pack will get their chances to give Minnesota two losses,  The 'boys have a relatively easy schedule compared, so a few more losses for them would be good.  But if the Vikes lose, well what a great day it will be.

Any day the Vikings lose is a GOOD DAY!

If the Cowboys lose to the V*****s Packers retain first seed in the NFC. If the Cowboys win tonight, and Tampa wins later today, then Tampa becomes first seed owing to difficulty of schedule. Packers will be second.

I almost always root against our division opponents except if a win on their part helps the Packers somehow.

So for tonight, go Minnesota!

Win the division first.  Worry about opponents form other divisions record later.

Well, that fell into place, rather nicely! vikings lose to the Cowboys, Tampa loses to NO, and GB owns the tie breaker with AZ, thanks in large part to Rasul Douglas! And the vikings and the Bears still suck!

This is going to be a fun couple of months:

From Sporting News about the end of the first half of the Vikings game:

"The Vikings got the ball back from the Cowboys on their own 15-yard line with 37 seconds left in the half and one timeout. The team was able to move the ball to the 34-yard line with their first two plays and looked like they would have a shot to get into field goal range — or at least line up a chance at a Hail Mary.

"There was just one problem. The Vikings elected not to call a timeout after Kirk Cousins scrambled 13 yards. They let the clock tick down to five seconds before they got their next snap off. After Cousins' short pass to Adam Thielen fell incomplete with one second left in the half, the Vikings then elected to take a knee.

"Minnesota entered the halftime locker room with a timeout in their pocket and no points. Who is to blame for the team's poor clock management? Well, Cousins seemed to think it fell on the coaching staff.

"'I just let [coach Mike Zimmer] handle the timeouts because I never know quite what the coaches want to do with what they're thinking,' Cousins said to reporters after the game. 'So, I was just gonna let them handle that and call the next play if we're not getting it.'"

Anyone want in on the over/under for when Zimmer goes?

They have Cousins and his plexiglass, Covid proof, enclosed space in their locker room and now Smith is on the Covid list. Where's the Rodgers' like outrage for these clowns regarding Covid exposure? Will the league be fining the Vikings for impersonating a football team?

Cook is also smacking his girlfriend around to the point of her looking like this:

Yikes.   i'll never comprehend NFL dudes beating up 110 pound women.

Supposedly she had previously broken into his house and threatened Cook and/or a friend of his with a firearm. If that's true you need to break off that relationship and something like this never happens unless you are defending yourself from another incident like that one.

I find some irony in there were some comments in another thread about Andre Rison, who, of course, had a volatile relationship with Lisa Lopes.
I find it shameful the same exists 25 years later. Don't people ever learn?

Not to make fun of them but the Vikings have 29 players and coaches under close contact protocol.  Dakota Dozier, who was fully  vaccinated,  an OL is currently hospitalized due to Covid pneumonia.  Could the Vikings be the 1st team to have to forfeit a game>?  And what was that about young healthy athletes not getting very sick>?

What is it with NFL running backs and violence?

Lawrence Phillips, OJ (allegedly), Adrian Peterson, Ray Rice, Ahman Green, Michael Bennett, Zeke Elliott, Corey Dillon, Larry Johnson, Michael Pittman, Montee Ball, etc

There is no outrage for these clowns because they are Vikings.  And nobody really gives two craps about the Vikings.

Yeah, that's his version from what I read.   The text message transcripts don't support that version though.
