That would sour me too. Hell, that would sour anyone. Even Kirk's dad.
b. We are going to sign as many of the soon to be FAs from the (can't win a playoff game) Packers.
C. Skol
D. Jaymo will be your Fanboy.
E. We really believe you will bring us a title, John.
F. Around here, we embrace the suck.
G. It's your brother we really wanted.
H. Let us show you our Super Bowl trophy case.
I. We want Mike Pettine as your DC
J . You play Ohio State once a year. We play the Packers twice a year.
@skully posted:What happened during this meeting? What could they have possibly said to Harbaugh that soured his chances with the Vikings.
a. We're sticking with Cousins
From what I heard yesterday they were asking Harbaugh questions and his answers were all over the place. Meandering, sometimes non-sensical with no clear answer. In other words, he Harbaughed himself out of a job.
It's been great fun the last couple of days listening to PA try to spin this story in the vikings favor. We all know the truth. Harbaugh decided he wanted nothing to do with that pathetic franchise.

J+ - itβl take you 6 years to beat them and win the division outright, but once you do, youβll be hailed as one of the βgreat coachesβ. May even get an extension. Of course, youβll get waxed/underachieve in the playoffs, but thatβs okay. Itβs expected. And no expectation to win the SB. Everyone knows thatβs a pipe dream.
Whatβdya say, Jim?
There was a time about 25 years ago when Michigan was consistently better than O$U. I view Michigan the same as U$C. Get a good coach, recruit the shit out of the key areas like So Cal and Texas and Florida and the Tidewater area and you can be a top notch program once again.
The problem i see with the NFL is meddling or moronic owners that want to micromanage their business. In college, if you are good, you call the shots. Yes you have to deal with boosters and agents but thatβs a lot easier than having to take orders from a Jimmy Haslem.
The Wilfs employ what, like half their family in the front office? Good for them. If Iβm Harbaugh, F the Vikings.
If you're Harbaugh, you have a closet full of tan khakis.
Isnβt that being repetitive?

Say again?
According to PA, Ed Donatell is the favorite to be the vikings new DC,
I actually liked Donatell as coordinator for the Pack, but he had to be sacrificed as the culprit for the 4th and 26 debacle vs. the Eagles. The Packersβ D got much worse in 2004 after letting him go. Iβm not saying he was ever great, but he was at least decent.
Ya, but he's no 'one-eyed Zim'.

So Pettine and Capers declined their job offers?

But not as DC...
So, everyone here in MN was expecting Kevin O'connell today, but it hasn't happened. Wonder if he's having 2nd thoughts. I wouldn't blame him.....
Im sure he was a little busy today
If McVay retires, O'Connell the favorite to be HC...and the Vajeens are back to square one.
SKOLOLOLOLOL.......
McVay's not retiring after first SB win unless that team is about to be gutted. I don't know anything about the state of its roster but losing a bunch of top tier guys could certainly persuade him given his recent comments about family.
He will go the John Madden route eventually, retiring relatively young to do other things.
He's got a Gruden personality to him. I'd be surprised if he took a break from coaching now, though. I could see him doing it once Stafford is done in LA.

So theyβve got Donatell and Pettine, maybe theyβll also go after Bob Slowik, Jim Bates, and the DOMinator too? π
Isn't Dominic the Packer Playoff Donkey employed as a senior consultant somewhere?
DOM to Donkeys as Def consultant. Doh.
Now official. Good luck with that
@RapSheet: The #Vikings announce several assistant coach hires, including Ed Donatell as defensive coordinator, Mike Pettine as assistant head coach for Kevin OβConnell, and Chris OβHara as QBs coach.
Chris O'Hara, modeling new Vikings coaches uniform:
Dweeb City!
Even their backdrop came up shortβ¦
Watching the new Lincoln doc on History Channel and came across this visual that Iβm embarrassed to say I never really knew about. It explains a lot.
