I think the choice not to run was more of a factor of the time left on the clock.

He just runs right??? Heard leading runner last year of all QBβs.
When he stays in the pocket he's decent. He's just too quick to bail out. That needs to be beaten out of him.

Another roast in the making...I thought Hundley was much better than Kizer.

And love heβs from a DIII school.....hope he makes the team.
Technically, he went to IL, then when Zook was fired he transferred to UW Whitewater. Which is a top DIII program in the country. He's spent some time on NFL PS and teams, I think his last was Cincy. He's 26, so not really a rook.

Yep. And it should be said, Kizer looks better than Hundley but he's still sketchy.
I think there is more upside than Hundley. As Lofton said several times tonight, many of the throws that Hundley connects on make the receiver stop to catch it. It's like he lacks the ability to anticipate where to throw the ball. He has to throw it to a standing target.
Don't matter guys. Wait 'til you get a load o' the Boylermaker.
Stats, sure. But it's the same ****. The guy has no presence, no awareness and still is sailing balls. The guy has been in the system for 3 years and he's maxed out.
I'll take Kizer's dumb****ery with his arm and general awareness on the field. He plays like a scared rabbit but he's a second year guy coming from Cleveland. I'd be running a lot too.

No roast. I think Kizer has a better pocket presence than Hundley by far... now will he stop staring down receivers or not leave too early? The jury is still out.

(3:13 - 1st) J.Scott punts 31 yards to TEN 21, Center-H.Bradley, fair catch by N.Williams

Exactly. This is a turd competition. Let's go with the floater (not passes).

I agree, the ceiling has much more that is desired in a QB.
I just think Kizer and Hundley lack the necessities....
Wait a gosh darn minute...is this 1988?
Cavetoad posted:He had 1 punt. Got it to the 20, 5 plus second hang time.
Opie's been working on hang time so much he forgot he has to punt it down the field.
Ummm take a knee there kid. But hey, I get it.
What the heck happened to the O re???
Nice start by Kizer!
Surprised that's the 1st time we've seen that call, and it was valid I guess.
Get 86 outta the game!
Ugly drive for Emanual Byrd, one drop, one hold.
Byrd makes a play then asses one up.
As much as I am a Kendricks homer, I doubt they keep him with Graham and Lewis as the 1 and 2. With all the receivers, I doubt they keep 4 TEs. My gut tells me they keep 3 and a young stud gets it.

And one whiff.
and yikes....blonder hair then CIII
Holding call is killing this drive. And now in the back. sheesh.
Here's the thing. I know Hundley sucks. It looks like Kizer might suck.
Carry on.
The refs certainly are making themselves known in this game. Hard to enjoy the game with all the stoppages for penalties. Count me in as one that thinks Kizer looks more natural as a QB than Hundley. He's no superstar, but I think there's more to work with.
Alrighty then.
Great vision! Kizer to Scandling!!! NICE!
This helmet rule is going to be messy.
Yeah, more Scantling with 1's and 2's.
and I get so excited......then ugh....
Cobb dippin'
POWAH! TD Scantlin or whatnot!

I'm ready to see this Boyle kid.
Nice drive. Overcame the dirty Byrd with the help of penalties and a few good plays.

Ya, is that the tobacco in a can dippinβ?? Dang it. I saw that and was hoping I was wrong thinking that thatβs what it was. And, I saw my first woman EVER spitting in a paper cup just last week.
