David Baugh out of Chicago is reporting that the Bears will interview Clements for the HC position.

Fine with me, this offense has been very unorganized and not effective as last year. Move McAdoo or Bennett to OC and Van Pelt to QB coach if he laves

Well, this is an offense that has lost a number of RBs and its' top 2 receivers for a huge chunk of the season. Not to mention they don't have Scott Wells and Bulaga has been out for quite a bit of year. I'd say Clements has done just fine considering the circumstances. The age thing though might work against him in terms of getting hired.

I think Slocum has shown improvement with his STs over the past couple of seasons (generally speaking). Of course they were horrendous a few years ago. But.....

...with Lovie out in Chicago, there's a chance an entirely new coaching staff comes in. And if so, I'd would go after Dave Toub for Special Teams. His units seem to be very sound year in and year out. They rarely give up the big play on returns.

Scum bag? O'Brien did a good job this year and deserves consideration for other/better jobs. How is his leaving any different than another coach that does a good job and wants to better themselves. With the sanctions that Penn State has against them it's not going to get better there for a long time. They need a young coach who's willing to ride it out. Hope O'Brien finds a good gig. He wasn't the problem there but did a great job this year but that doesn't bind him to the school.

IMO, if you take that job under those circumstances you owe it to the university to stick around at least 2-3 years. The guy was a nobody before he got it and now he has a nice season and he is going to bail? How about the players that did stick around through the scandal? Nice thank you to them. Lame. Hopefully the guy has some integrity and sticks around and has some brains to realize that one overachieving season doesn't make him ready to be a head guy.

He took a job under their circumstances, not his. It's not like PSU had a long line of options. He had a great season and tried to parlay that into something better. PSU better understand that's the way it is now.

He won't get the job at Cleveland unless Chip Kelly decides to decline the blank check they're about to hand him. And Bill will head back to Happy Valley.

All part of the PSU bed they made for themselves for the past 40 years.

The State of PA is suing the NCAA for the sanctions handed down to PSU. They say it's punishing current students. Translation, "PSU was a license to print money"

The state is walking a tightrope. PSU wants (demands) the state to show it has it's back. Doing so shows the state doesn't have the back of every Sandusky victim.

PSU football led to this mess. It's great to see everyone in PA learned a lesson.

O'Brien can't be faulted for trying to find a way out of town.

BOB knew exactly what he was getting into. He was a nobody BB staffer who took a job nobody wanted.

He gets sympathy (a nice, long SI feature), begs kids to stick around, I bet says to recruits that he is "in it for the long hall", has a nice season and interviews the first time his phone rings.

Te fact that even interviewed will hurt his respect with his players, staff, fans and recruiting. IMO, this behavior is Pertrino-like.
