Traded a 7th for a guy the Titans would have likely released anyway, realizing he was better than either of the Packers options behind Love and he didn't want another team to pick him on waivers.

Signed Xavier in FA. McKinney had 3 INT's all of last year. Has equaled that total in 3 weeks.

"Exactly.   The Love pick is not just a miss on a 1st rounder, it is the catalyst to the situation we currently find ourselves in.    It is Gute's legacy.   He threw a wild KO punch in the first seconds of the first round of the fight and now he's fucked because he missed.

If he had landed it, he is a hero and we trade Rodgers for multiple 1's last year.   If he didn't draft Love, he is free to try and add a Vet QB to replace Rodgers or try and grab a QB in the mid rounds of any following draft.

He fucked up, and we are in cap hell because of it."

The work Gutenfarter has done over the past several seasons building this roster cannot be understated. Give this man a beer!  Well done sir…

Hold on one second! I had called dibs on that beer.

SA Yeah, Gute is doing so terrible drafting that any team in the league would gladly ship all their draft picks to GB for the next 10 years. SA Oh brother.

Never rush to judgement.  Give it 10 years, then rush to judgement.

I give Gute credit for keeping the team competitive but what has he actually accomplished outside of that?? At the end of the day it's about winning championships. The annual choke jobs are getting old.  MLF is 3-4 in the playoffs including 2 losses when we were favored at home. His do or die games are actually 3-5 if you count the loss to Detroit in the last game of the year a couple years back.. This team has a lot to prove and so does the coach and GM. You would think Gute had already won 5 titles based on some of the homer comments here.

Was last year a "choke job"??? Asking for @Iowacheese

Depends on context. If you consider that Love made an idiotic decision to throw an airball on first down late in the game that was easily intercepted  when we were still in the game, then yes. It was Favrelike

Then it is ultimately our fault, the owners, as our proxies on the board chose the president who chose Gute.  So we all owe everyone a big apology.

The towers of fail in full effect. Murphy is only part of it. MLF and Gute have done some good things, but neither have met expectations and Gute has made a ton of mistakes and seems to get a free pass. He needs to win the big one before being put on a pedestal like a God as seems to be the norm on this site.

Imagine being a fan of any NFL team other than the Patriots over the past 25 years and approaching the season as win it all or your team sucks.

That would tend to make someone pretty miserable, eh?
