Yup, Bradley was pretty pooped. Dude works so hard. He did play well today. Muntari owned him against Ghana. Today he ran circles around Mutinho, one of the best midfielders in the world.

To be fair, Goalline, you should have wanted a draw, since it helps Ghana.  Unless you were expecting the USA to beat Germany on Thursday.  If Ghana beats Portugal and Germany beats the USA, it comes down to goal difference.

Frankly, Ghana and Portugal had better draw.

Bradley sounds like the Jarrett Bush or AJ Hawk of the US Team.

Didn't watch a second, won't watch a second but dude is getting toasted on Twitter.

That US-Portugal tie felt more like a freakin' loss. Klinsman is yelling at his guys to get back on D and they press three guys up on one player, leaving us more exposed in back. All they needed to do was hold the ball when they had it (rather than trying to push for another score) in the Portugal end and we win. Younger players were in at that time, and they just didn't have the experience to hold the ball in the corner and let the clock run.

It was a little like watching Dallas last year keep passing and passing until Tramon finally picked it off.

The point is, you hold the ball to bleed the clock and take it deep into the corner. If they surround you, they either kick it out so it's our throw-in or if you trust yourself, bounce it off one of them and out. Even if you lose it, you're deep in the corner and making them go the entire length of the pitch and you still have your guys back to help. Mostly, we might have saved the win if our guys without the ball had been back on D as Klinsman was waving them to be.

The good part is that the guys in there at the end were younger players and this was a good learning experience without it totally killing our chances of advancing. But a win would have been awfully sweet...

Fan, they should really know that already, the young players. Curious that the main error was made by the most experinced midfielder, in Michael Bradley, but you are right. The defense screwed up when they failed to get back.

In Klinsman, the USA, has one of the best coaches in the world. He knew exactly what he was doing when he declared that this team cannot win it all. I even heard Mike Greenberg blow it off as a mistake caused by the language barrier, because English is his second language. HA! Klinsman speaks better English than 90% of the folks in this country. This is a guy who played in England, after all, and he spent his off-seasons during his playing days in the US, because, unlike the rest of the globe, no one in the US knew who he was.
